The Flash’s name is Barry Allen, he is the fastest man alive some people call him the Flash or the Streak. One day the Partical Accelerator in Star Labs exploded and lightning went everywhere. It just so happened a lot of lightning hit people one of those people was the Flash. They got all kinds of superpowers he got super jumps and super speed. The Flash and his team from Star Labs help the city by fighting the bad guys that were struck.The Flash was created by DC Comics in 1940.

Barry has his own team when being the city vigilante, his friends each have their own natural abilities. His main team consist of Dr. Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, Dr. Harrison Wells, each person helps the Flash by using their knowledge. For example, Dr. Snow is a bio-engineer, Cisco is a mechanical engineer, and Dr. Wells is a scientist. Dr. Snow helps Barry by studying his abilities and their impact on his body, she solves biological issues that can harm him. As a mechanical engineer, Cisco creates devices that help and protect the Flash, he has created the Flash’s suit which has incredible abilities. Dr. Wells is another member of the Flash’s team, he also study’s Barry’s abilities and focuses on how to improve them. The team helps Barry solve crime in the city by combining their abilities to find the safest and most efficient way for the Flash to defeat an enemy. After reading Contemporary Literary Theory: Its Necessity and Impossibility, I find that I agree with most of what Robert Young says in regards to literary theory. The main point that really struck home with me was when he talked about theorists lacking the ability to connect with a wide audience. The first act of protection comes from Flash the main character. Flash, also known as Barry Allen, cares for and protects his fiancé, Iris West, and his city, Central City. Barry will do anything to protect Iris and Central City. At the end of season three, a giant speed force threatens to suck up Central City. Barry realizes if he lets the speed force suck him up instead of the city, he will save the city. Barry lets the speed force take him away and he saves the city and, more specifically Iris. At the beginning of the first episode in season four of “The Flash Reborn,” the speed forces secures Barry in its clutches. The Flash most definitely has a supernatural aid. He can travel over 2000 miles per hour by running. In season 1 episode 2 “Fastest Man Alive,” The Flash gains his supernatural ability. At 1:15, he saves a little girl from a burning building, even when Doctor Wells, the scientist in charge of studying Barry’s capabilities, said he didn’t know everything about Barry’s body yet and that he did “caution restraint" for Barry (David Nutter 3:30).

A gentle touch appeared on his unhurt shoulder, even with his fuzzy mind Barry could still feel the woman’s face getting closer to him. That was it! Barry felt the Speedforce in his system, it was weak and uneven but there. He connected to it for the split second he needed it, quickly
