Tank missiles, bat bombs, or super strength, which would you prefer? Out of all off the superheroes today, I think that ironman, batman, and superman are probably the most popular. These three are highly powerful in all of their own ways. Two of them equipped with an arsenal of gadgets while the other is just a man in tights and a cape. They all have their ups and their down, their strengths and their weaknesses. But set all that aside and they are very much alike. They have more similarities than you would think even though they are all very different. Ironman’s name is Tony Stark; he is an only child, with no parents and a weird looking electromagnet in his chest. His suit of armor is made from a titanium alloy which I red and gold. His suit also has tons of gadgets; such as explosives, special bullets, repulsors on his hands and chest, and the ability to fly. His weakness is anything his suit cannot handle, and EMPs, which kill electronics. The suit is extremely bullet resistant and can fly at mach speeds. He has overcome many obstacles and has had multiple times where he has or has almost failed. Ironman is still kicking in movies and books these days, so he is very popular in today’s community. …show more content…
This man and his scared childhood decided one day that he would fight crime. Manipulating his fears and using them against criminals to detain them. He eventually recruits a boy and gives him the title of robin, and then robin become a hero on his own. Batman eventually recruits another but he is killed by the joker, and then becomes an anti villain called the red hood. Batman does not kill, which has got him in trouble a few times. Batman’s weakness is probably his friends, if you get his friends he would probably fall, or maybe if you shot him, yeah that could work. Batman has a confusing past and quite the history for a man in bat
Batman is depicted as dark and mysterious and for a while people didn't know whether he was good or evil. Some film techniques used are things like dark lighting and generally low angles. Batman also only really comes out at night to make him more mysterious. To make him darker he only wears black and all his tools and vehicles are black or grey. The music and dialogue will also be discussed.
American people, no matter who they are, whether they are rich, famous, intelligent or just an ordinary person, they all share certain values and assumptions because they grow up in one particular country, the U.S. Most American people are familiar with superheroes who are always protagonists and like to help others, these heroes also show their own values and assumptions in the movie, drama, novel, especially in The Avengers. In the movie The Avengers, Iron Man, one of six superheroes, displays the best values and assumptions that discussed in Althen’s article by expressing individualism, privacy, directness and assertiveness, and time. Iron Man perfectly exposes the individualism in his actions and speeches while other superheroes do not.
Tony Stark, the man behind the suite in Iron Man is short and has tall brown hair. He has a mustache and a goatee which starts at the bottom of his lip and ends at the very bottom of his chin. The facial hair at the bottom extends about an inch wide on each side and goes back up to the sides of his mouth. At the center of his chest there an arc reactor which surgically implanted so he would not die.The arc reactor has so much power it can power Tony's iron suite as well. is an outside the box thinker who invents many gadgets such as robot arms and better security systems. Tony has the attitude to live and enjoy life and has an adventurous spirit. He likes to go on missions and to save people who are a danger or threat.
Heroes have the tendency to fight crime or serve the public without having to have a personal reason, this is not the case for Batman. Batman regularly, if not constantly, fights crime for his own benefit. While Batman was still Bruce Wayne, his parents were killed by a soon to be supervillain, this caused him to have an alternative motive to become a “hero.” Even if he does not directly advance on his parent’s murder, he still attacks ever villain that he thinks did him an injustice. “He smashes any and everything in his way while pursuing his ends,” (Wilson). While Batman smashes through his own intentions, Captain America fights crimes/serves the city for the people not for his own benefit. Batman might seem to be doing what a hero is supposed to do, but he is merely trying to avenge his parents death. “ Police are perplexed, worried the group will turn into vigilantes and doubt that the superhero policy is ever stopped any crime,” (source A). This is the same with Batman; the police do not know what to fashion of him, but are worried that he will insert himself in trouble. Batman might seem to be doing activities for others, still he does them for himself.
If he gets shot by a gun, he’s dead and if he gets stabbed by a knife in a vital area, he’s dead. Batman is too easy to kill and he is a very emotionally unstable guy, which causes him to think very deeply and ponder if he’s a good or bad person.
Ever seen a prodigy? You must have if you know Sherman Alexie, or Superman. Both are a type of hero. Sherman Alexie wrote “Superman and Me”. Though he was an Indian boy who in many ways acted like Superman on an Indian reservation camp. Many Native American children would often call him an oddity. For his”super powers”.
So much anticipation...nearly two years of waiting. Why is it that every time I'm stuck waiting on pins and needles for such a long time that I'm always hit with a major feeling of disappointment? Maybe my expectations are too high? Perhaps...but I'm not too sure if that's the real problem here. Let's look into it.
All throughout my childhood, I had an extreme fascination with heroes, especially superheroes. Despite my complete distain of spiders, I wanted to shoot webs from my wrists and swing around the town all day long like Spider-Man. After the release of the Iron Man movie, I wanted nothing more than to be clever enough to build a full metal suit. Now that I am older, it is incredibly hard for me to decide which I would rather be. Both ended up in epic battles - like Spider-Man and the Sandman, and Iron Man (and the rest of the Avengers) against a whole fleet of an alien army. Although either of their lives are desirable, several of their attributes, such as their identities, their powers, how they acquired them, and their personalities
The first hero, Superman, the greatest superhero of all time. His powers include flight, super strength, x-ray vision, invulnerability, speed, heat vision, freezing breath, super flare (a recently added massive, omnidirectional heat blast that obliterates anything within a quarter mile radius), and superhuman senses. Having all of these abilities is said to make him god like, but he has his one weakness, Kryptonite. Kryptonite
This man has been docile and misunderstood for his entire life. His ferocious demeanor can frighten the bravest of people. He can work independently or collectively. He’s seen as a menace, but he’s been a hero many times. With the brain he has, the booming voice and quick decision-making he is a natural born leader in times of peril. As he becomes angrier, the more effective and violent he becomes. His hairy appearance resembles, that of a lumberjack. He is known for healing himself but has no medical background. He’s like a Benihana chef, but he is not a cook.
Stories of heroes have been told, written, and passed down since the beginning of time; each unique but following a tight pattern. Joseph Campbell was the first to notice this and wrote a book called The Hero With A Thousand Faces. Campbell wrote about the similarities of every hero’s journey while breaking it down into three steps: Departure, Initiation, and Return. In his book, Campbell compares many old Greek myths and heroic tales from centuries ago, and although he focuses on ancient myths, modern hero stories follow Campbell’s stages just as closely. Ironman is a prime example of a modern story that follows Campbell’s pattern. Tony Stark (Ironman) is an eccentric
The fear was so intense I got nauseous! It's was last year in band when after all the bands hard work payed off we got to go to six flags and when the day came I had a group of friends called the Batman Squad. And we have been together since day one ,and we loved batman, we had batman everything from socks to capes to pjs and now we were going to the one place with the one ride named after a man who we love and it was a superior ride named The Batman!
There are an assortment of different superheros with very unordinary powers in D.C. Comics, but the most famous are the ones in the Justice League, including Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Batman.Superman's powers are super strength, flight, freeze breath, heat vision, invulnerability, x-ray vision, super speed, and a healing factor. Batman
“Humans or Scientific Accidents ” Would you rather be struck by lightning or get bit by a radioactive spider? Spiderman is a superhero who has advanced super senses. He is from the Marvel Universe and can shoot webs to swing from, to tie villians up or just to make a web. The Flash is a superhero, who has the power of superspeed. The Flash is from the DC Universe as well as Superman and Batman.
Batman is a well-known superhero of all time, due to his comics, Tv shows, movies and video games. The reason he is so unique is because he is human, he has no superpowers or special abilities. Batman is an ordinary man who does superhuman actions with his ability to outsmart his enemies. What makes him stand out, even more, is Batman’s ability to know the difference between justice and revenge. He brings justice to his city by fighting crime at night and leaving the criminals for the cops, he does not kill them. “Batman is proof you don’t need superpowers to be a superhero…” (DC Comics) Just like the names of the heroes of classical literature, Batman is a name American pop culture has not let fade away, from his symbol in the night sky to
