Bear Grylls: I’m Bear Grylls, I go to some of the most dangerous places on earth to show you what it takes to make it out alive. I’ve travelled around the globe to places where you wouldn’t last a day without the right survival skills. I’m in the Sahara Desert, one of the driest, sandiest and toughest climates in the world. I will be building some fires and eating a variety of fecal matter on the way. Bear Grylls: It’s been nearly three minutes and I’m completely starving, I will need to eat fast or my tummy’s going to hurt. This snake is known as one of the most venomous snakes in the world, if this snake bites me, it could mean disaster. Bear Gryll: The risks are too high for me or anyone to try to capture this snake, luckily for me; I’ve found some camel dung along the way. Camel dung has a load of protein and fluids stored in it; this means I get a free meal and a drink! Bear Grylls: I’ve been walking for almost two minutes and I don’t know where I am. I have to get moving before the sun comes down, because I am afraid of ghosts. Bear Grylls: When you are in the desert, it is hard to keep track of the time, luckily I have my cell phone so I can use it as a sun dial. Bear Grylls: Its about 10.20 pm so I really need to get going. Bear Grylls: The Native Americans use this technique to tell the time but it’s not completely accurate…I was off about seven hours. Bear Grylls: This time I’m not going to bother setting up camp, I’m going to blend in with the sand by taking off all my clothes.
