Supercell- Clash Royale, Howard Schultz- Starbucks, Lynsi Snyder- In-N-out What do all these people have in common? We all use their technology, drink their coffee, and eat their delicious burgers. And, they have been great leaders of awesome organizations. We also have had some great leaders at First Avenue. Now I am asking for your vote to become an ASB member. What makes all those great people above so successful? They have the same qualities that I can bring to our school. I am asking you to take a step back and think about what qualities you are looking for in an ASB. Are you looking for somebody who is smart and enthusiastic? A person who is open-minded and ready to take your suggestions? Somebody who is a strong, a hard worker? If
I make a great candidate for the National Honor Society because I am a good leader.
I am fit for the role of ASB Treasurer because this job requires reliability, attention to detail, and experience, that I believe I will provide. I am currently the 2019 class treasurer and it is only a logical step forward to take on the challenge of being ASB Treasurer. In this last year, I’ve organized two fundraisers, both of which were successful and financially managed by me. I believe in this coming year, I will not only be able to manage the budgeting for my class, but capable of managing it for all four classes. I will be a benefit to the members elected onto the board and to Lawndale
I have demonstrated excellence In leadership by being in Future Business Leaders of America ever since I was in my freshman year. I became secretary my freshman year, vice president my sophomore year, and will have acquired the privilege of becoming President my senior year. Being in FBLA has helped me not only grow as a member, but as a leader. Throughout my growth inside the club, I have been able to encourage others to join extracurricular activities, developing my interpersonal skills. Community service has also been a major part of my High School career. Whether it’s first preparing and painting the posters for an activity we are having, to being in charge of a fundraising event, my goal has always been to try to impact the community breaking
The personal reason of why I am running for this position is to grow as a person through collaboration with others because I think it is important to learn from peers. Instead of always calling out my thoughts right away, I normally enjoy listening to everyone’s opinions before forming my own. I think that this is a crucial point to the success of the class because the beauty of working together lies in combining everyone’s unique spin and personality, which results in a final product that we may not have been able to come up with on our own. Although sometimes the class differs in opinion, I think my listening skills would help resolve this problem since I tend to try and see both sides of the argument. Outside of ASB I have put my leadership abilities to work as the
I remember hearing stories of my grandma's political involvement and her outspokenness, and hoping to be that brave. Family members often tell me that I reminded them of her, and that my leadership would make her proud. I always hoped it to be true, that she wasn’t looking down on me wondering why my parents gave her name to me. I wanted everyone to believe I deserved the hand-me-down name, that I was able to fill it with bravery and compassion like she had. But I have often fell short.
I believe that my past personal and professional leadership experiences make me a quality candidate for this position because I have 8 years of experience working in an elementary school as a 6,7, and 8th-grade teacher and 2 years of experience working as English Learner (EL) Program Lead in a high school setting. These experiences have afforded me the opportunity to take on many leadership roles. For example, that of instructional leader and coach, science department chair, English Language Learner department chair, English language learner program lead teacher (ELPT), test coordinator, and facilitated scheduling and programming of EL students, MTSS coordinator, and a union delegate.
Throughout my school years, I have always tried to be a positive role model for younger students as well as my peers. This year I decided that the best way to serve my school was to participate in our school’s Student Leadership Council. It has proven to be a fantastic decision for me. I succeeded in getting the most votes out of all of the candidates and have had a great experience taking a leadership role in my school. I feel like I have become a much better leader and role model because of Student Leadership Council. I have been really fortunate to be exposed to the Jeter’s Leaders program, since they come to our school to mentor us as SLC members. It has been an incredible experience, and I would really love to continue with it. As an eighth grader at Saint Augustine, we are required to mentor our younger students. I
Asb has really taught me how to be a strong and effective leader that everyone will want to follow. I have never thought of being a leader as being the top
I want to become a Bank of America student leader I want to be a good leader but also a true leader, which is a leader that leads by example. In able to help my community and to encourage fellow students like myself, I have to set the foundation and example for them. By participating in the Student Leaders program, I can learn to become a better person, but more importantly, a better leader. As a senior preparing for graduation, it is critical that I understand where I intend to head in life. With this program, I think that it can provide me with an even more clarity about my goals and aspirations. I believe I should be chosen to be a Bank of America Student Leader because with my diverse background and skills, I believe I can be a great addition
I am honored to be in ASB this year and enjoy making a difference in the school and being a leader, and I’m looking forward to making a bigger difference next year at the school. I have learned numerous tips on how to be a leader by writing essays and showing what we learned in different committees in ASB and in our larger world. Throughout my year in ASB I learned how to be a better leader, and because of that I used these skills to make the school a better place to be in and a more amusing and exciting place to go to school.
As a leader, I try to inspire and have an influence on people. I see leadership as a responsibility to be a good role model for others. Therefore, from the people I have interacted with, I make sure no one is afraid to say or give an opinion on something and I’m there to listen. For example, in National Honor Society we learn the principles which are scholarship, service, character and most importantly, leadership. As the Vice President of National Honor Society, I have hope for success in each member. This year the president and I have teamed up to create new opportunities for all of the members of National Honor Society to contribute to our community. Not only do they lend a hand, but they are also willing to come up with new ideas to help,
The National Honor Society is reputably known for its high standards. Those that are accepted to this esteem society are rewarded with several possibilities with the added benefit of just being part of this respected club. Therefore, I am honored to be a member of the National Honor Society. Nevertheless, I intend to gain more from this club than just being an idle member. Thus, I decided that I want to take a more crucial and demanding role by being the President of D.M. Therrell High School National Honor Society Club. Besides enhancing my leadership skills, I believe that being the president will allow me to broadcast my countless ideas that I believe will benefit not just our club, but the whole Therrell Panther community. As a trilingual
I understand what kinds of students are needed in this organization. In order to meet the request, I tried my best to stand up in the areas of scholarship, leadership, character and service. For academy, I am a passionate student who likes facing challenges. I maintain a G.P.A of 4.0 for two years, and became the top 2 students in my Biology, Algebra II, ESL, Honor Pre-calculus classes. I am also a math purple team member and attended the state math competition.
Initially, I would like to list all of the qualities I shall bring to the Student Council. I am very respectful of my peers and teachers. I have numerous academic accomplishments which I believe a president must not only be a good role model for the rest of the student body but also lead in academics as well. In addition to my academic skills I developed leadership skills that I have obtained from Beta and 4-H. In these clubs I have learned how to communicate and work in groups I am very flexible at taking on any task and conforming to each and every job when it is needed of me.
I would want to be a participant in the AAC because I think it is a great way to receive help and advice. As a first generation student, I do not know much about college and how everything works. AAC is a great way to help me be more prepared for my classes and to receive support because my family can help me so much but they are not knowledgeable on college and what to expect, but I know that this program can help me view things better and learn more about a subject. This first semester of college was a bit difficult because it was my first year and I did not know much about how things worked. I feel like I was not as prepared as I wanted to be on some subjects and felt that I couldn't really reach out to other because they might not know
