Becoming a dental hygienist involves the game stage substantially. In the game stage, we begin to understand that the people around us have responsibilities of their own and demands placed upon them as well, the world does not revolve solely around the individual. In patient care, it is important for us as the dental hygienist to be aware that our patients may feel as though they do not have time to brush or floss their teeth. Instead of just placing judgement on them the dental hygienist needs to look at the situation from the patient’s point of view and should empathize and work with the patient to come to a solution. The game stage is likely why we also say keep your home life and your work life separate, this being, if you are fighting
My goals after high school are to study dental hygiene. In order to become a Dental Hygienist, i'll have to earn an associate's degree. Some of the community colleges i’m thinking about enrolling in are Portland community college and Mt.Hood community college. I will attend one of those community for two years then transfer to University of Oregon. I would like to get an internship at a dental office while attending school. An internship will help me get an experience of what it's like to be a dental hygienist.
For my senior project I have explored the career of a Dental Hygienist, who is a licensed dental professional who is registered with a dental care association within their country of practice. Their duty is to clean teeth, examine patients for signs and symptoms of oral diseases such as gingivitis, and provide other preventive dental care. They also educate patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral cavity health. Dental hygienist occupation has many important aspects to their job, which makes it a very rewarding occupation. According to my research dental hygienists is one of the top career choices in America, being so, over the years the career has evolved into a high demanding occupation.

My educational goal is to get accepted into the dental hygiene program at South Florida State College. Furthermore, get accepted into the program, I will need to get straight A’s and rack up as many hours as possible in a dental office. At DeSoto County High School, there is no club or class to prepare me for dental hygiene school. After I obtain my degree in dental hygiene, I plan on working at a dental office, in addition, do community service by cleaning teeth for people that can't afford it. For example, the homeless community and group homes.
All healthcare providers including dental hygienists should be knowledgeable when it comes to educating patients and use evidence based decision-making constructed on the research. The focus is to make an effort to find the right article and transform evidence into practice to improve quality and effectiveness of patient’s health care outcome.

I love to run, I use to be in cross country in which we would run 3 miles everyday. Sadly, I haven't ran since I graduated which was in 2014. But, plan on getting back on track because this freshman 15 I ended with is not good. I'm going to school to become a dental
Majority of the writing in my major is going to include writing in a chart. Each chart will include information about the patient, and what went on during the appointment. A patient’s reason for the visit, health records, patient complaints, examinations, treatments, and things that the hygienist noticed during the visit are all examples of information that could be included in a chart. I have noticed that my dental hygienist will write about my visit on a computer in the room. It is important that the hygienist writes clearly, correct, and concise. Dentists, office staff, and insurance companies are examples of people who could potentially read these charts. So, it is important to make sure that each chart can be easy to read and understand. It is not good to have any sort of confusion in the charts, that way if a person reads them they do not make a mistake.
An ancillary dental worker specializing in scaling and polishing teeth and in giving advice on cleaning the teeth. Do you know what this definition is for? The definition above is for a dental hygienist, this is what I am going to college for. I had three choices for what I wanted to do and I picked dental hygienist. I should be a dental hygienist because they help a lot of people and that is what I want to do. I want to help people with there teeth and help clean them. Dental Hygienist has to talk with people and teach them how to take care of there teeth and I like to talk so that sounds fun to me. I picked dental hygienist out of three choices, it was very hard to pick what one to do, but when I put all the information together I got what I was looking for!
My assigned role was dental hygienist as an educator. As clinical dental hygienist, educating my patients to perform proper oral home care, explaining disease processes that effecting them, and recommend appropriate oral health care products just as important as providing hygiene treatments. Individual homecare instructions depend on many factor such as age of patient, physical and mental ability, number of visits they had with me, and the results of oral exam. As part of my routine, I assess the changes that patient had made since their last visit. Most of them give me an honest report. However, when it is inconsistent with what I am seeing at the oral exam (evidence of calculus, plaque, food impaction, no improvement in inflammation), I begin

When I was about 5-years-old, I was the only one in my Kindergarten class that was not frightened of the dentist. I was the only child for as long as I can remember who absolutely adored going to see my dentist; I thought it was better than going to the Science Center, which was a big deal for a child in my generation. Growing up, I watched people’s faces twitch with (terror, panic, dismay) as I explained that it was my ultimate dream to become a dental hygienist. “What if a child bites you?” “The human mouth is disgusting! Do you not realize the horror of this occupation?” Listening to people question and insult my dreams only enhanced my dedication to this occupation even more. I was determined to prove them wrong; to prove that this was
Dentists are specialized professionals for the mouth, teeth and gums. Being a dentist is a challenging career that requires extensive training and preparation. They must satisfy pre-dental requirements that involve science coursework, such as biology, physics and chemistry. Moreover, they have a long way to go. The American Medical Association identifies more than 80 percent of dentists are general practitioners who provide a wide range of dental services. From learning how to repair a chipped tooth to treat swollen gums, it takes an average of 8 years of education for a dentist to receive the knowledge, experience and training necessary to practice in the United States. If they want to be dental specialists who save
After I've completed my education in dental school, I plan to look for a job that suits my profession on my island. If I was given a chance, I would like to give back to my community by offering free dental checkups. I formulated this idea because every community needs proper oral hygiene. Proper oral hygiene is essential to people's health and well-being because it prevents them from having oral diseases such as gingivitis (the inflammation of the gums) and dental caries (tooth decay or cavities).
The profession that I would like to study is dentistry. I am interested in pursuing a career in dentistry because I like to help people and there are many benefits that come with the career path.
