Having a closet half full of interview attire clothes I can save money. Since I am applying for a job being a Forensic Investigator I have decided to wear a smart casual attire for a potential interview. It will be consisting of a white dress button down blouse, cream v-neck sweater, gray dress pants, white shoes, and casual accessories. As I get ready for the interview the thing that I would do is research the company and if I know the name of my interviewer I have an advantage of searching them on Linkedin. Next is to prepare questions the interviewer may ask, practice my responses to them, and prepare copies of my resume and cover letter. Then for the day of the interview I will eat something heathly to get my brian flowing and arrive early
¨Mr. Green committed murder in the pub with a bottle¨. If you like to solve mysteries, then you might find this sentence familiar. I always liked to play the game Clue because I get to solve mysteries. I want to be able to use my talent of solving mysteries in a career, and becoming a forensic scientist seems to be the perfect choice. After researching important information , such as the work environment skills required, the level of education needed, the salary and job outlook, I find myself to be highly qualified for an upcoming career in forensic science.
As a crime scene investigator it is their job to collect all of the evidence in a timely manner. Although, there are ways to collect the evidence it is very important to make sure that the evidence is collected correctly and properly. Now as a crime scene investigator I have arrived on a crime scene where there is a lot of evidence that needs to be collected. All of the evidence that needs to be collect for the case is drying blood on the floor, a hand gun, several shell casings near the victim, and some hairs that is still in the deceased victim’s hand. Therefore, I would start by taking pictures of the entire crime scene to ensure that everything is documented as it was found before I start to remove any of the evidence. Furthermore, I would ensure that I am at all times wearing latex gloves so that I don’t leave my own finger
I’ve always heard that the hardest majors are STEM majors, and that they require a lot of time and dedication. Of course, I chose to become apart of the STEM program. However, I was not scared because my love for math and science is incredible. I am majoring in chemistry. I once was very uncertain about what career I wanted to pursue, but after many years I am more than sure what I want to do. With my Bachelor’s degree I plan to become a forensic scientist. I pondered on many careers before I decided on forensic science.
I would like to be a Forensic Science Technician, simply because I find this kind of stuff interesting. A Forensic Science Technician does many things. Four things they do are run ballistics tests on guns to find the one used in a bank robbery; collect evidence from a crime scene to help understand the chain of events; match DNA samples to reunite a long lost child to his/her family; and solve a crime by matching fingerprints at the crime scene to a suspect. One of the top reasons I would join this career is because I want to be able to solve a crime if someone needs help. The second top reason I would join this career is because I watched CSI all the time before I got too busy with school, but I still watch
There are many careers that you can become with a chemistry degree, such as a pharmacologist and learn how drugs are properly used for or even a toxicologist who research potential harm caused by chemical to help establish regulations to protect the public. Being a forensic scientist is to be believed as being a hero due to the fact that how much help you can do in cases. This job has a great salary but many it has many different work hours and is a cutthroat job. There are plenty of benefits and standards to becoming a forensic scientist.
For as long as I can remember, I have had an interest in science. When I was younger, I had always wanted to learn about animals, as well as the natural world around me. Today, I am no different, and expect that my passion for science will remain consistent throughout my future. I would like to pursue a career in the biotechnology field because I have developed a specific interest in forensic science during my high school career. I have already been taking steps in order to prepare myself for a career as a forensic scientist, as I am currently in the biotechnology program at North Point High School. The biotechnology program has given me a deeper insight to what kind of careers one can pursue in the biotechnology field, as well as a good foundation of knowledge that I will apply in my career. In addition to being in the biotechnology program, I am enrolled in accelerated science classes, and am planning to graduate high school with twelve science credits.
This information will help investigators cluster the symptoms with a particular disease and rule out irrelevant information. The surveillance of the components gather in this step will put a perspective on the abnormal health events that are occurring on the outbreak timeline.
Many young adults aren’t aware of what they might be when they grow up. Most of the time young adults know what they are going to be, but they don’t know how to pursue their career. After searching at O*NET Online I would choose to either be a Lawyer, Medical Assistant, or a Forensic Science Technician. These careers are on all different sides of the spectrum. All of these careers sadly need long periods of schooling in order to get the correct experience and training for hands on situations.
Forensic science is the use of scientific knowledge and technology to help solve criminal investigations, and provide evidence that is used in a trial. Any person who helps a lawyer or any kind of law enforcement by testing physical evidence is known as a forensic scientist (Frith 4). Forensic scientist can also be known as forensic science technicians, crime lab analyst, or other titles that may reflect a specific area (Echaore-McDavid and McDavid 28). People who are forensic scientists deal with gruesome scenes on a daily basis, and are at a higher risk of depression than most. Most people in this field love the thrill of solving crimes and catching criminals.
I have chosen to do the Early College Program to save money and prepare me for when I go off to study my major. I aspire to be a Forensic Pathologist which requires 15 years plus of schooling. Schooling that will require a lot of money and hard-work.
Becoming one of the best forensics technicians has alway been one of my biggest dreams. Having a passion for science, math, and helping others will motivate me to finish college and go to straight to work. I’ve always like to help other to make them feel better.
The show “NCIS” has increased in popularity over the years and has become the most-watched and popular crime show that currently is on television. NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service. These teams focus and work on crimes that are related to the Navy or Marine Corps regardless of the crime’s nature. The show follows a fictional Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response Team based in Washington, D.C. This specific team is underneath the leadership of Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Solving a case is no easy feat and every case requires the whole entire team. Gibb’s team includes three field agents, a medical examiner, and a forensic scientist. The purpose of this paper is to delve into any episode and critique the different aspects of the case. I will be comparing the field and the forensic scientist’s work to real-life. In most cases, these particular shows dramatized real-life so I will also explain how things would normally be done.
From a very young age, I have had a great interest in natural science. Learning about the biological world around us and in us fascinates me to no end; that is why I am very interested in the Life Sciences First Year Program at NC State University. I selected my First Choice Academic Program choice as Biochemistry Intent with the intention of pursuing a career as a Forensic Laboratory Technician. While this plan may change, I will be confident in my decision to enter NC State as a student in the LSFY Program, as the courses I take would prepare me for a variety of other careers I may find more interesting over the course of my time in the program.
If I had to choose a job of my choice in the justice system, I would choose to be a Crime Scene Investigator. Crime Scene Investigators work for law enforcement agencies or other criminal justice organizations. They collect and analyze physical evidence to help solve crimes. Crime Scene Investigators otherwise known as CSI, test weapons, clothing fibers, hair, and fingerprints for evidence with hopes of solving a crime. (Alliance, 2015)
The first careers that I’m going to be discussing is a forensic pathologist, which is actually something that I intend to pursue after school. A forensic pathologist is someone who perform autopsies and determine the cause and the manner of a death, disease, or injury to people who die unexpectedly, suddenly, or violently. They also determine whether the death is a homicide, suicide, accidental, natural or unknown(forensicscolleges.com). Forensic Pathologists are educated as physicians and licensed to practice medicine in the state that they are employed(explorehealthcareers.org). They have to be certified by the ABP with a subspecialty in forensic pathology. Getting certified can take between four and five years.
