I am extremely honored to be considered in being in the National Honor Society. I believe that this organization helps a lot within communities and keeping grades up. That is why I believe I should be a member. I know how to keep my grades at the highest they can be, which in my case is a 4.0. I am also largely active within my community and school. I play softball for my high school and hope to be a captain this year since I am now an upperclassman. I also enjoy helping within my community doing things such as work, clubs, and travel softball.
After the induction ceremony, I came before my mom, both of us smiling. Words were not necessary for me to know that my mom was proud of me. Being in National Honor Society was something that did not just made my parents proud, but it made me proud of myself. The honor of being in the club is not the only reason why the club is so valuable for me. It is the experience that I get form interacting and working with students from other grade levels that really inspires me. The club meetings and activities allow me to meet amazing individuals that I might have never had the opportunity to meet. Being involved is important to me because I want to help people and make the most of my life. In life, I know that I will learn new ideas, meet new people, and be out of my comfort zone at times, and I love it; I love connecting with people and learning new information. Being inducted into National Honors Society requires a student to demonstrate all of the four qualities many of our role models in the present and in the past have possessed, which include: scholarship, service, leadership and character. Everyday, countless amounts of people are working hard, trying to change the world for the better. They are researching cures for cancer or taking twelve hour shifts to help keep oceans clean. There are people who are working towards a better world, and making life safe for the children in need, the animals in danger, and the men fighting for our country. Seeing these changes happen has motivated me to want to be a part of these developments. I wish to serve those around me, and believe that if I can have a positive impact on my community, it can affect the rest of the world. Therefore, I have made it my goal to be a part of the National Honor Society, in hopes that I can help my school, Middleville, and all who have impacted me. The reason that I am interested in becoming a member of the National Honor Society is because the National Honor Society represents all of the values that I find most important in my education and life. National Honor Society requires academic excellence throughout high school. At the beginning of my Freshman year, I set a goal to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. I have worked diligently to achieve and maintain this grade point average while taking several advanced classes. So far, I have taken three classes for college credit and plan to take multiple more during my senior year. I believe i should be in National Junior honor society because i work hard to keep my grades up, I take responsibility for my actions, I join in on school events like the dances and make sure i'm polite to my peers. I show leadership when the teacher leaves the room and i decide not to mess around, listening to the teacher in class and showing up to school with a positive attitude. When i show up to school with a positive attitude i smile say good morning and i’m ready to learn.
I believe I qualify for membership in the National Honor Society for the reason that I love helping out with school activities and non-school activities. I find pleasure in helping out in my community and being an exceptional example for kids that may look up to me or are younger than me.

Acceptance into the National Honor Society of Petrides would be a great honor for me. The National Honor Society in Petrides will allow me to connect with likeminded people in the school who have portrayed similar scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship as I have. I have shown my leadership qualities through school events and volunteer work. Service to the school is one of biggest focus of the National Honor Society which I have always been content to participate in. The three amazing years at Petrides, I have served the school by aiding and tutoring students that have needed help academically; while participating in school events and teams showing school pride.
I should be granted membership into the National Junior Honor Society for many reasons. First, I show leadership in many ways. Even though I do not hold a official leadership position, I still show leadership in multiple areas. In group projects at school, I always make sure my group stays focused, and I usually take a major role in doing the project. I also take a major leadership role on my baseball team, for I help mentor the younger and less experienced players. I also participate in Boy Scouts, where I also help teach the new scouts who have just joined lead by example.
I deserve to be a member of the National Honor Society because I feel like I’ve earned it. Over my high school career, I have been through many challenges, but I learned to face them head on with a positive attitude knowing how good the outcome can be. I fit the qualifications to be a member and if I do not fulfill them to a certain level, I will work on how to reach them. Throughout my school education, I’ve always tried my best, even more so in high school. I hold myself up to a very high expectation, I know I can always do better than before.
