Bernie Sanders should be elected president of 2016 for his political views on certain issues that will help America. The background of Bernie Sanders makes him an advantageous president. He started as an Independent politician. I haven’t chosen if I’m a Democrat or Republican because I don’t want to get in a party and believe everything they do. Sanders was independent and he could see other ideologies without being biased of his own politics. He later decided to be a democrat so he can be in a party and then be well known and get support. Another reason from his background is because his parents were Jewish immigrants. He has a higher chance of understanding how hard it is for immigrants to come to this country looking for opportunities. …show more content…
Gun control matters to me because we kill each other with them. I know some say “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” and it’s true but if there were a restriction on guns, that would one less way for someone to die. Just like a drug, guns could be brought in from other countries and sold in the black market so there are ways of getting them even if it’s illegal to have them. It just doesn’t make sense to me that people have guns to protect from themselves from other people that could have any type of weapon including a gun. It would make many citizens mad because of the 2nd Amendment which gives them their right to bear arms, so instead, there should be psychological tests to see if people are able to carry one without shooting others for no reason. Another issue is health care. The government should give its citizens free health care because I think it’s like an implied law where the government has to keep its people safe. That includes diseases too. There are people who can’t afford Medicaid and get really sick, they still go to work because they need money and their illness gets worse. People shouldn’t suffer through that. My next issue is education. I don’t think there should be free college education but it shouldn’t be expensive as it is now. If more Americans were educated, they would benefit by having a good job and the country would benefit too because we wouldn’t depend on other countries as much. Honestly, all of the three candidates I got sort of agree on most of these

Bernie Sanders has been the Junior Senator from Vermont since 2007. He is an Independent that caucuses with the Democrats. In his run for presidency, Bernie asked questions that others would not. He spoke on issues other candidates would not tackle. He has not just expanded upon the Democratic agenda, he wrote an entirely new agenda. He wrote an agenda for the people. Bernie Sanders mainly resonated with a young demographic of voters which is probably due to the fact that most people my age do not want to live in an austere society. My generation will have to deal with the shortsightedness of the earlier

First, Bernie Sanders is all about non-racism. It’s been million of pictures surfacing the web where he’s been spotted marching with Martin Luther King Jr. I believe by him being against racism, a lot of things going on right now would stop. When I speak on racism, I don’t mean only towards African Americans but all races together. The fact that he was actually there to see and go through it is absolutely awesome.

Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton both seem like decent candidates, but Bernie Sanders is the more relatable and the more thoughtful candidate. When it comes down to experience, both of them have had there fair share of politics. Although Hillary Clinton has experienced presidency during her husband’s administration, I still believe that Bernie will still be a better choice in terms of important issues such as foreign policy. Since nowadays, there are still sensitive areas of foreign policy like North Korea, Russia, and ISIS that has to be put under thoughtful consideration so that it won’t make matters
It is exceedingly difficult to dislike Bernie Sanders as a presidential candidate. The foundation of his campaign advocates policies for the working/middle class citizens of the United States, and NOT the big money interests. He exemplifies authenticity in his campaign promises and has a near impeccable voting record to back it up. Majority of candidates concern themselves with inconsequential rhetoric: Immigration, de-funding planned parenthood, refusing to believe climate change and banning same-sex marriage. Bernie has the cognitive clarity to see beyond the political wedge issues and elevate his presidential ambitions to the quintessential issues of the present day.
