The report include the establishment of a National Health Service in 1948 with free medical treatment for all. A national system of benefits was also introduced to provide 'social security' so that the population would be protected from the 'cradle to the grave'. The new system was partly built on the national insurance scheme set up by Lloyd George in 1911. People in work still had to make contributions each week, as did employers, but the benefits provided were now much greater (Bbc.co.uk, 2016).

Bershadker has led some of the most innovative programs to help animals all across the country. In 2014, he partnered with the New York City Police Department and established a program to provide enhanced protection to New York City’s animals. Since this partnership, animal cruelty arrests have tripled. So finally in 1913, Congress passed the 17th amendment that called for the direct election of United States senators. Also Congress would later pass the 19th amendment which allowed women’s suffrage, or the ability to vote. Also states and people began to use the secret Australian ballot to keep the privacy of the voters. Before, big bosses and companies used to be able to scare or buy people to vote for whom they wanted, but now people could vote without the fear of being connected to their ballot. With people now voting anonymously, these businesses no longer as successful as before for they could no longer tell for whom the bribed were actually voting for. In the bar graph, it shows the gradual decrease in the number of voters who voted for the presidency (Document J). this showed how people were no longer being bribed or forced to vote for whomever the businesses wanted. This called for more fair and impartial elections for such important offices in the government. In the Washington Post 1907 article, Roosevelt is shown standing over a dead bear of bad trusts (Document A). This demonstrated Roosevelt’s attempted to rid the country of bad trusts for the good of the people. Also these reformers made great strides in the social component of the country.

This report will focus on Theodore Robert Bundy. Bundy was confirmed to be have been connected to at least 40 murders and was executed by Old Sparky, Florida’s electric chair in January 24, 1989. Initially, Bundy was arrested for a driving violation in August 1975. When police searched his vehicle, suspicious items were found that led to Bundy’s charge of Carol DaRonch’s kidnapping. Bundy was sentenced to 15 years in prison in February 1976 but was later charged with the murder of Caryn Campbell in October 1976. However, Bundy escaped prison and proceeded to live a College life until brutally murdering two women of Florida State University and other reported murders. Bundy was finally brought to trial where he arrogantly acted as his own attorney.
Want - Beveridge noticed that people did not have ‘enough’. They didn’t have enough money to live on and provide food, clothing and couldn’t afford medication for themselves or their families. These people wanted to be able to have the basics to survive, but they either didn’t work or were too sick to work. We now have a system that gives people a chance to claim income support and national insurance to cover these issues.

American President Franklin Roosevelt called for a war against poverty, and in Britain, the Beveridge Report also called for the slaying of the giant of poverty, and a creation of a welfare state. The Cold War played a major role in Western government’s efforts to help developing countries, because they were also using similar methods with Communist agenda to help poverty. The Development Economics for these emerging countries played a big part in their acceptance into successful nations. People all joined in on a crusade to confront poverty, with morality, justice, human sympathy, and idealism.
