The Big Question: what is admiration? Some will say it’s about giving presents and doing all their stuff, but I know the truth. It’s about keeping someone safe and caring about other people. My parents do all of those things. No one can match up to the greatness of my parents. First of all, they always make me feel safe, even in the darkest of times. One time, I got lost in the city of København, and my mum went HYSTERICAL. Seriously. And finally, they make sure I’m not a meanie like SOMEONE(hem hem -my brother- hem hem). Every time my brother chases me all around the house, I have a shortcut. I just run to my mum or dad and I’m safe. But if my parents aren’t there, I have to rely on skill and wits. Another reason my parents are so safe-crazy
My mother has always had major health issues, going in and out of hospitals all the time, but she wouldn't go down without a fight, and luckily, we still have her here with us. Any mother would want the best for her children, so one day my mom dropped everything in Reynosa and decided to move here, to the United States, in order to give us more opportunities and a real chance to succeed. Therefore, my parents have taught me to be the responsible, strong, and hard working person I am today.
My parents work hard to give us the best they can which I truly appreciate. They're both two Mexican immigrants who have horrible jobs because they don't have the same opportunities as others and get discriminated against on a daily basis. I'm proud of them both even more now since my mom is finally getting her residency after 19 years of waiting then soon she's going to become a citizen after that my dad is going to apply for residency. He could've have applied first, but he wanted her to because he wanted her to land a better job. I consider them my heroes because they look after us and care about us. They keep a roof over our heads and food on the table, even if it's not much. They work hard to try to give us a better life because they want us to be successful in life, they want us to be able to experience everything they didn't like going to college and having a good job that actually pays well. My three brothers are my heroes as well. Sure they act like I annoy them, but I know they love me like I love them. They are very protective of me and they teach me how to stand up for myself. My oldest brother Edgar has babied me and taken care of me since I was born. Whatever my parents couldn't afford to give me, he worked hard to help them out. He has been the one who has dropped me off at the bus stop when it was too cold, dressed me when I was too young to dress myself and he was the one who did my hair despite having no experience before
Growing up my mom was the only parent in my household, so naturally we were a very close family. My mom took care of all of us. She always made sure my siblings and I had everything we needed in order to be successful. She cooked, clean, worked, etc., she really was a super mom. Whenever I had a problem with something or needed to talk to someone she was always there for me. My mom gave
Though they were not always there throughout my childhood, they still did a decent job raising me up. This family shaped me to be the person I am today. They guided my way through my teenage years, they prepared me to faced the real world at the young age, and they taught me to be
My parents raised me, their names are Mari and Martin Carrillo, I also have one older his name is Joshua Carrillo. My parents are the reason I am who I am today, They sacrificed so much for me and for my brother, my dad would work all day every day and he would get out of work pretty late. My mom would work during the day and get out at 4 and pick up me and my brother, take us home feed us and then go back to work for another 2 hours and be home by 6. They've always gave up and sacrificed so much for me and my brother to make sure we had food on the table and everything we needed for school and at home.
My parents are number one on my list of 10 important things. Because they give me a place to stay and food to eat. My parents come and support me at my games and come watch my horse stuff even when they don't want too. They care about my education and check my grades often even though I don't like it. My parents know how much I want to go to college and get a good job so they do their best to keep me on track in school. My mom takes me to horse shows and my dad does when my mom can't or he comes with. During the summer they take me around to different shows with the horses to practice for bigger shows. I remember once it was the day before the fair and we were getting ready. We had just taken care of my horse and I put her away. I don't know that where my horse was standing was a hornet's nest. Since my horse was stomping the hornets started
They are the only ones I have unconditional support and are my reason to succeed in life. My parents gave up so much for us at a young age and didn’t get to enjoy nor acquire a higher education due to financial problems, and I am utterly proud of how far they’ve come and all their successes. They came from nothing to living the life they desired when they were young, having to sacrifice absolutely everything just for their children. For that reason I want to succeed in everything possible to make them proud and just let them enjoy the life they deserve and that I will gladly provide one day
I’m not a daredevil. I like to think about things and decide if it’s a good idea or not. There’s no sense in doing something that you know is not going to end very well. Believe me I still do some crazy stuff with my friends, I’m just the one that keeps the group down to earth. With my parents however, I listen to them with no hesitation. They would never do anything to harm my siblings or me… on purpose. My point of view on this changed a few years ago on and extremely hot day, when my dad had a brilliant idea for me and our dog Peanut.
experience without them, and I really owe a lot to my school career to them always being by my side.
Whether it is my mom, dad or my sister, I know I can count on them to make me feel happy. They are my weakness and my strength. I still remember the time when my dad used to cancel his important business meetings just to help me with the mathematics unit which I did not understand at all or my mom asking me about my day at school. They have emphasized
The Big Questions makes you think about your thoughts and it makes you states your opinion. Both my mother and my uncle are models of values to me. When I was little, my mom
It is easy to say that a parent has had the most influence on your life, they taught you how to walk, talk, drink and among many other things hopefully right from wrong. A good parent is there for you most of your life, quick to lend a hand or offer advice (unless it’s your mother-in-law) when needed, but the trait that impacted my life the most was the integrity my father exhibited with me and the people lucky enough to have met him.
Growing up, my parents played a huge role in my life. They taught me everything. I also have 4
My parents impacted my view on life. Since I can remember, they have always wanted nothing but the best for me. For example, I always bring back the chats with my father after my soccer games. No matter how well, or how many goals I had scored, my dad always had comments on what I could’ve done better in my game. His expressions made me wonder if he was ever proud of me; however, looking back I just realized my father was my biggest fan and only wanted me to perfect my skills. I am glad he was like that because now that is how I am with my little brother. Also, my parents never raised me as a flashy or spoiled child, and I thank them so much for that. As a kid you can question your parents ways of educating you, but when you grow up and analyze everything you will truly understand why they did that. For example, I would always see my idols on television with the most advanced and beautiful soccer cleats out there. Of course they are
