Although many people like to play sports, they don’t like their team. Many people like to play sports such as football, soccer, basketball, and track. But many people don't like sports because it is too hard, but you just have to put in a little effort and courage. Also, people don't like it because it puts you at risk of injury if you play football. In addition to the people who take it just to get out of P.E, And the bigger people who don’t like to play because it is hard for them, but we like bigger people in football because they can do a lot of things we can’t.
First and foremost, many people like it for the physical activity to stay fit. As well as the people who like teamwork and determination. Their are people who don’t like sports
In the article “Playing With Pain” by Michelle Crouch, published by Scholastic SCOPE, in December 2015 and January 2016, is about how when you specialize in one sport, you put a lot pressure on yourself to do well and be the best you can be, but some consequences can be life changing.
Sport’s are an aspect of life that affect societies across the globe. Athletics affect everyone's life, whether that be playing the sport, watching games, or hearing about a sporting event. There is a big difference between playing an individual sport and players relying on their own athletic abilities versus a team sport when members of the team rely on their teammates to complete each individual's specific responsibility to reach the team's goal. Team sports bring people together in countless ways, and they teach many life skills for the athletes that participate in them. Some of these skills include communication, teamwork, discipline, work ethic, dedication, leadership, and numerous more that will help them in their personal and work
Ever since I was a child, my parents put me in various sports: soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball, and cheer. Both my parents grew up playing sports and realized that being a part of team sports benefits the growth of a person’s perseverance, determination and overall personality. Not only was I an avid multi-sport athlete as a child, my four other siblings were as well. Motivated individuals have surrounded me throughout my life. They have given me a great example of what it means to succeed and persevere. Not only have I been surrounded by strong individuals I have also been able to try different sports. While it was fun being able to try different sports, I realize early on that soccer was what I wanted to pursue. Soccer showed me how to be a part of a team and never give up.
The last part is that you need to be fit in order to play soccer, because you are constantly on the field, and you don’t get a lot of breaks, because the game never really stops except for halftime and when a foul is called or if you are waiting for the ball to come. When you’re on defense, and playing a good team, you can be running around a ton, and you get tired really easily, especially when someone is on a breakaway, you will have to sprint down the field to try to stop them. If you play soccer a lot over a long time, you will develop good leg strength. Exercise is critical to the human body, and you will get a whole bunch of it by playing soccer. I hope this essay encourages parents to in-role their kids to play soccer because it’s an amazing
Sports are fun. Sports will allow you to work on becoming physically fit in many ways. Many sports share the same rules and are done some ways the same but normally each sport has there on ways on how that sport is played. Take a moment and see how football and baseball are two different sports but have the both have ways in common and how they are different as well.
For a lot of kids, it’s not until it’s all said and done, and they look back on it several years later, that they realize the difference the sport made in their lives. They are proud of playing the game. Have you ever met anybody who accomplished playing four years of high school football, and at the end of that run said, ‘Man, I wish I wouldn’t have played’? It doesn’t get said. Football players aren’t perfect. Nobody is. But millions of former players, one by one, can recount the life-altering principles they learned from football. They know the value of football is the values in football. That’s why high school football – and particularly high school coaches – play such a vital role in our society. Our football coaches are on the front lines of the battle for the hearts and minds of the boys in our society.
All of the publicity that is attained by success, and the possibility of this success, places a great deal of pressure and stress on these young single-sport athletes. This stress and pressure takes the fun out of some sports. Youth sports are becoming serious and based more on winning than on having a great time and learning good sportsmanship. Adu points out the winning mindset of athletes in this day and age when he says, “Teams will do anything to win the game. My coach told me to expect that going in and that is exactly how it was. . .I felt like everybody was out to get me” (Goodall, 2003). This
One reason why I would allow my son to play football because it can build character “ it's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get back up”. You can play all day, and if you get down it don’t matter. What matters if you have the courage to get back up. “If you can believe it, you can achieve it”. No matter what you do, you shouldn’t have to put your mind into it, but believe in what you put your mind to and make it
Sports are not for everybody, not only because of talent level, but because a certain mindset is to be had to be successful at any sport. A commitment is made. Forty hours of practice a week, the average amount of time spent practicing for football players, all for a one hour game, the average time of one game of college football, takes dedication. That is not even counting the time spent icing, resting, and studying the playbook or film, not to mention the school work to be kept up with for college and high school students. Most athletes have become used to the grind and juggling three or four time consuming activities all at one time while being successful at each. Waking up at the break of dawn, following a schedule, and suffering consequences when a bad choice is made creates character and discipline that is often needed for many little league, high school, and college athletes. The most important non tangible thing sports teach anyone is how to get back up after falling, how to get knocked down but get right back up and keep going, how to move on from failure and overcome it, focusing on the next important part of life. These skills of determination and courage taught through sports are essential for being successful in any part of life and are hard to come by anywhere
Which is saying that he is doing anything with his team instead of sacrificing anything. Football has turned me into not just a better person but a better teammate and athlete. He learned not to sweat the small things, and to be able to accept failure but never stop trying. Football is not just a game with players, but you’r playing with brothers that family. He said even if he is a a great athlete and is popular doesn't mean anything to him.
To many of us, sports are a way of chasing our dreams, but why? What in sports is so great? In “Why we Run”, the author states,” I think it is because without dream-”antelopes,” to chase we become what a lapdog is to a wolf.” The author conveys to us that in a sense, we don’t want to be established as the weak one, or seen as “what a lapdog is to a wolf”. Also, we do it for ourselves so that we believe more in ourselves. The author of “Why we Run” also
The main idea of this paper is to introduce you to what really happens as a high school athlete and the things you learn along the way. High school sports is way more than just playing the sport, it shows you what you are really made of and how to handle problems life is going to throw at you. The adversity you face as an athlete carries over to real world problems and you have been there and done that, so handling adversity is second nature. This information comes from all my coaches, myself and Friday Night Lights. I feel I have already grown as a person by competing in athletics and calling other people my brothers. Not only does high school athletics help you in the long run, but it helps you with problems you have now.
Sports is my way of challenging my body and myself. There is great joy being on a team oriented sport and a more individual sport track. Playing a mix of sports expands my skill set and keeps things interesting.
In “What Could Be Better Than A Touchdown” the article argues that both physical and mental prowess play an important role to playing sports. It insists that you have to be concentrated on the game but also being physically prepared to what’s approaching. The sports
Playing sports is all about a team. It means sacrificing for the greater good. This symbolizes how you can be a better person, a better student who is willing to put in work to succeed in life is like sports. You must collaborate with others to get things done which sports teaches me. Being competitive means that you have spirit which I have. The will to win is only as great as the will to work hard which sports teaches you. Playing sports can make you a better person and a better student.
