From transporting our food, clothes, and technology to just going to the store across the street, cars are a very important part of our society. It was not until 1914 where custom-made cars turned into many cars, such as the Model T, moving down an assembly line. The automobile began as a rich man’s toy, and in today’s society almost every single person owns one of these miraculous inventions. After the automobile became more popular, society has evolved around it, creating highways and fast food chains. The automobile has revised from a bare invention, such as the horseless carriage, to now technologically advanced motor vehicles with bluetooth and wireless internet. Since the beginning age of the automobile in 1885, the invention has advanced, prospered, and changed society throughout the world.

Henry Ford, whose name arouses recognition to this day, was one of the most well known figures in the automobile industry. He had created the assembly line to use within manufacturing in order to increase productivity, and consequently, reduce the prices of automobiles. With these famously low prices, it wasn’t uncommon to see cars, such as the 1920 ReVere Touring Car, parked around cities (Doc D). Finally, most American persons would be able to afford a personal vehicle. Due to the growth in this particular industry, employment opportunities had opened up for the common man, with the demand for car factory laborers. During this time period, America saw a great change in its economy. After WWI, many citizens had extra time and extra money. Due to the surplus, they were eager to attain a variety of new products on the market. The greatest example of these technologies is the automobile. Not only did the car become affordable through the use of assembly lines, but it also gave the public an opportunity to travel and live in areas other than the city. Although there was not a great selection of cars back then, progressive advertisement strategies persuaded the public that they indeed needed a car.

In the years following the war, once everything had settled down and the United States of America was whole again, technology really began to pick up. At the start of the 1870s, America was in the beginning stages of becoming a very technologically advanced nation. Some of the key ingredients that America already had for the future were, electricity, steal, railroads, chemistry, and the most important one of all engineers of production. These engineers were innovators and wanted to be able to mass-produce anything that they could. In order to mass-produce at a high capacity, the engineers believed that America must create parts interchangeably. This enabled manufacturers to manufacture things such as, guns, clocks, bicycles, typewriters, and even engines very quickly. Whether America knew it or not, this was the beginning to something that would forever change the way the world operated.

You may wonder if the racing industry should be forced to use biofuels. The racing industry is mostly for fun and sport right? Well all that fun is hurting our environment. Biofuels can help that issue. Using gas as fuel causes more air pollution and rids us of our oil which could be used for more necessary occasions and products.

The automobile has enabled Americans to travel longer distances. There have been 17.5 million automobiles sold in the last year. That is because the automobile has opened up numerous opportunities for people to travel longer distances without trouble. Before automobiles, people drove in buggies, rode horses, and wagons. With all the wagons and buggies if a wheel broke off, you would be stuck in the cold for a while

With the free reign you have given us on this paper, I have made the decision to look at the comparison of fossil fuels and other sources of energy that we use compared to the use and acquisition of bio fuels. I will explain, show and support the opinion of the comparison with biofuels being the more positive and safer choice. The different areas I will show this will be both economically and environmentally by far.
