Blame For Romeo's Death

Love is the tightest bond two people can share, so tight people go to the extremes. In the play, “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet”, Romeo and Juliet end up dead in the end. Although there are many people to blame, Friar Laurence is primarily blamed for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.

Who is most to blame for the deaths of two lovers? There have been many tragedies caused by romance. The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a drama placed in Verona, Italy. It is known for two families, Montague and Capulets to be in a long standing feud. It is also known for the tragedy between two star-crossed lovers from the two households. After a series of tragic events, the two lovers commit suicide. There are several characters that can be responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, but the character that is most to blame is Friar Laurence. He was the one to help and influence them to be together and gave Juliet the potion leading to her death and Romeo’s. Friar Laurence is the most to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet for his thoughtless decisions.

Secondly, the ‘ancient grudge’ between the two household is an aspect of fate that can be deemed responsible for the lovers’ deaths. Shakespeare describes the feud between the Montagues and Capulets as ancient, meaning it has been going on for a very long time. Consequently, there were ongoing brawls occurring in the streets of Verona and as a result of this feud many characters are driven to extreme behaviours, including Tybalt and Mercutio. If this ancient grudge had not existed then there would be no reason for them to have a duel, however, as it did exist they had no other choice. Tybalt is furious that Romeo, a Montague, had come into the Capulet household and wanted to take action. He decided to duel with Romeo but as he didn’t want to Mercutio accepted the offer. This specific duel between Tybalt and Mercutio was the undoing of the lovers’ lives. After Tybalt had killed Mercutio, Romeo felt pity and sought revenge and ended up killing Tybalt

Romeo is to blame for Juliet’s and his own death, because when he was banned from Verona, he could have found someone else in Mantua.

In Romeo and Juliet Romeo murdered three out of the six people that died in the book. Romeo killed half of the people and caused the other half to die from killing himself and other people. Romeo is the most to blame for all of the deaths in the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.

The story of Romeo and Juliet is a very interesting and complex tale. The death of Romeo and Juliet can be blamed on many people. Some might blame their deaths on Romeo, Juliet, The Friar, or even the Nurse. Though there are many opinions, I think it can be blamed on Romeo for the death of the two lovers.

The ending to Romeo and Juliet is very sad. How both of them died because of a family feud. At such a young age too. Many people played a role in their deaths. I believe that both the Montagues and the Capulets are to blame for their deaths.

Death and despair has plagued the Verona streets due to Romeo in the so called romantic tale, of Romeo and Juliet written by the famous William Shakespeare. Every single tragedy that happened in Romeo and Juliet the repercussions of one man, the blame should only be placed on the one who caused the crime, and the guilty party is Romeo.

Whenever tragedy strikes people often try to find someone to blame. The Montagues and Capulets two families that have been feuding for centuries. Romeo and Juliet fall in love and get married. In the end, the capulet and the montagues become friends because Romeo and Juliet kill themselves. In William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” Romeo and Juliet is to blame for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet’s death because Romeo and Juliet go behind everyone back to get married, They both but something to potentially kill them, and while it is true that capulet failed to kick the Montagues out, when Romeo and Juliet found out that their families were enemies that did not stop them.

Shakespeare makes this very clear when he writes, “What, drawn talk of peace? I hate the word / as I hate hell, Montagues and thee”(1.1.71-73). This quote shows how the rage Tybalt has for the opposing family by saying that he hates all Montagues as much as he hates hell. Later in the text, his anger drives him to kill Mercutio, consequently leading to his own rage driven death by Romeo. This is the perfect fuel for the tragedy of Juliet's passing. If it were not for these two families violent and entangled fate Juliet may not have gone the way she did. The avenging of Mercutio's death by Romeos murder of Tybalt, is how the feud begins to really take its toll on Romeo and Juliet’s love. When Prince Capulet gets word of Tybalt’s death and finds Romeo guilty he immediately exiles him. “ And for that offence immediately we do exile him hence” ( 3. 1 185). This puts major strain on Romeo and Juliet's relationship and begins their downward spiral towards mutual suicide. If these two families had resolved their conflict earlier Romeo and Juliet would not have to hide their love for one another, and their deaths would not have come so

In the tragedy of 'Romeo and Juliet' there are many characters at fault for the sad outcome. Three main people are to blame above all others, however. Lord Capulet, the nurse, and Friar Laurence are the most responsible for the untimely deaths of the lovers, Paris, Mercutio, and Tybalt. Although they did not intentionally kill the youths their actions led to the murders and suicides of these characters.

Romeo and Juliet were two teenage lovers from seperate families who were not the best of friends, these families were enemies. Unfortunately, for the families (Montague's who Romeo belong to and Capulet's who Juliet belong to) the two teenagers had very strong feelings for each oter which eventually led to love. Romeo and Juliet love was no ordinary love, infact they had to hide their relationship due to the conflicts their families had and only communicate with each other at night . Not luckily, Juliet's parents wanted her to be maried to Paris, bu she was already secretly married to Romeo. This eventually led to the death tragic death of them.

A long feud between the Montague and Capulet families disrupts the city of Verona and causes tragic results for Romeo and Juliet. Love, revenge, and a secret marriage force the lovers to grow up quickly and fate cause them to commit suicide in despair. The Capulets are responsible for Romeo and Juliet's death due to prevention of Juliet's wedding. Since they are rival families, the Capulets don't want Romeo to marry Juliet. They want to intervene and stop anything from happening between them and make Juliet marry Paris, the rich boy from a “good family”.

It is common knowledge that the play Romeo and Juliet ends in both characters deaths. While it may be initially thought that Romeo and Juliet caused their own deaths, the blame lies in adult figures of the play. If it weren’t for the actions of Friar Lawrence and Lord Capulet, neither Romeo nor Juliet would have died in the play, as Friar Lawrence executed the plan that led to Romeo and Juliet’s death, and Lord Capulet caused the plan to be necessary in the first place.
