Bobcats is found in a variety of habitats across the southern half of North America and southern parts of Canada right down to southern Mexico. They closely related to the larger and more northerly dwelling Canadian Lynx. However, their habitat in the desert, swamp, Mountainous forest, and even in suburban areas in some places. Bobcat also scientifically known as Lynx Rufus is most common in the United States, but it is also common in Northern Mexico and Southern Canada. I had the opportunity to observe this animal in Northern Mexico where I learned a lot of things about it. I selected Lynx Rufus because of their uniqueness in different areas and the fact that they remain a threatened species and, therefore it is important to get more information about it.
Grizzly Bears - they are large bears that inhabit North America. Many people hunt them.
This means that they eat nuts, berries, fruits, leaves, and roots and other animals from rodents to moose. For being 800 pounds and also being 5 to 8 feet they are fast animals running up to 30 miles and hour or sometimes 35 miles per hour. Grizzly bears once lived in much of Western North America and even the Great plains. When the europeans settled they killed many of these bears from both of these areas. Today the Grizzly bear population in the U.S. are safe because they are protected by law.
Lynx Rufus, commonly known as the bobcat, can be found in all the diverse habitats of Arkansas. They get their name from their tail, which is short and appears to be "bobbed." Bobcats are nocturnal, therefore rarely seen by humans. According to National Geographic, they prowl through most of North America and can adapt easily in different environments such as swamps, forests, deserts, and sometimes even suburban areas ("Bobcats"). Bobcats are ferocious predators, being able to kill game much larger than them, although they tend to eat smaller prey. Most of these cats are solitary and occupy about 25 square miles during their life. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission states that mothers go into dens when birthing her litter. The cubs are born
The Ursus Arctos otherwise known as the grizzly bear lives in North America around Northern Canada, Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. A grizzly bear lives in the wild and hunts for its food such as fish, deer, elk, or any other animal. They live inside of caves for protection from the weather, they will also live under trees or anything that will provide them shelter. I believe that grizzly’s have evolved into animals that can survive in many climates and environments.
We found that Eastern grey squirrels are less likely to be active in an area when the threat of a predator is present, although there is no correlation to predator noise and feeding. There was a significant difference in the mean number of Eastern grey squirrels in the area where the predator noise was played, with a greater number squirrels in the areas when there was no threat of predation (Table 1) (p=0.006). During the absence of a predator and presence of a predator, there was no statistically significant difference in the number of squirrels that fed from the plate (Table 1) (p= 0.118) or peanuts taken (Table 1) (p= 0.085).

It is the continent's smallest and most widely distributed bear species. Black bears are omnivores, with their diets varying greatly depending on season and location. They typically live in largely forested areas, but do leave forests in search of food. Sometimes they become attracted to human communities because of the immediate availability of food. The American black bear is the world's most common bear species.
If you try to imagine a speedy predator, you might envision the muscular body of a cheetah at full sprint, or the aerodynamic pose of a peregrine falcon dive-bombing a pigeon. Both are marvels of evolution, optimised over countless generations to push against the boundaries of speed and acceleration. They move their relatively large bodies at mind-boggling speeds.
All of the smaller wild cats bring something special to the table, as well as their own challenges. Bobcats are well known to people throughout the U.S., which makes them enjoyable to talk about. At the same time, they are infamous to trainers for their stubborn natures. Ocelots are easy to identify by their stunning fur, but also by their locking jaws and nasty attitudes.
Grizzly bears are lonely creatures. Grizzlys like to be alone unless they just had their cubs, or there cubs are growing up. After having cubs and they grow up momma bears leave there kids and they start to fin for themselves. When you see two bears with each other you better take a picture of it because you don't see that very often. Like i said they are lonely creatures and like to be alone.
Snow Leopards are natives to the rugged mountains of Central Asia. Snow leopards are very shy towards humans. In fact, there has never been any type of verification on snow leopards attacking a human being even when being disturbed during a meal chances are they will run away scared instead of attacking. There are between 3,920 and 6,390 snow leopards left in the wild. Even though numbers are shown to be improving over the years there is still high chances of endangerment for Snow Leopards.
