Bold actions are uncommon terms for extraordinary acts of courage and even heroism. People live their lives doing regular, routine things. They fear trying anything different, so they are unable to experience what a bold action can do for them or how such actions can make them feel. Others live fearlessly through their occupations, such as firefighters or policeman. These, are the type of people others can look up to. Exposing themselves can come with great risk, but also great rewards for themselves and even others. Therefore, I believe that bold actions can influence and benefit others positively and often even yourself.

There are many reasons why people take risks even though it is crazy and impossible. For example, in the memoir, “The Other Side of the Sky”, it shows that Farah Ahmedi is climbing a mountain with a prosthetic leg. In the fictional story, “Rikki-tikki-tavi”, in this story the mongoose, Rikki-tikki-tavi takes the risk of going into a snake 's burrow which has a high possibility that he will be killed. In the poem, “The Song of Wandering Aengus”, Aengus goes on a crazy mission that might take his whole life to accomplish which is to find the “glimmering girl” because he is in love with that girl. Hey there! Taking bold actions are risky. Some people might think risks are worth the rewards but i really don't think they are. The 2 myths Arachne and flight of Icarus are examples showing why risks are not worth the rewards.

In Timothy Tackett’s When the King Took Flight, it’s explained how Louis XVI’s flight to Varennes resulted in escalating events to happen in the French Revolution that changed and shaped the history of France. In his flight to escape the revolution and upon his capture, he unintentionally created a domino effect that rippled throughout France with consequences that were far from his original plans when attempting to escape the country. This essay will explain how the flight to Varennes radicalized the revolution by further weakening the monarchy and its authority along with its image, that the most significant reaction was that it opened ideas to new forms of government, and that the seeds for this radicalism was already present.

Anybody who takes a full role in society takes risks: crossing the road, using a bus, driving a car, and talking to people they do not know. Risk may be physical (injury and accident), emotional (humiliation, sense of failure), or mental (stress).

Courage is a great character trait which is built from the ground up through past experiences in a person’s life.  Risks are excellent examples of experiences that a person needs in order to become stronger.  In the book - Bilbo, the burglar - takes on many tasks where he put himself in danger, even though he is the one with the least practice in these kinds of situations.  He always listens to the team, and did what they asked.  On all missions Bilbo is given, he always sees things to the end.  Though he may say occasionally that, “I wish I was at home in my nice hole by the fire, with the kettle just beginning to sing!”(31), he pulls through for the team with determination.  In order to become truly brave, people need to get their priorities straight, and focus on the task at hand.

Impulsive decisions leaves people in unfortunate situations. This is best shown in Branson Mull’s book Fablehaven. This is shown when Seth succeeds in capturing a fairy. Every since he was shown fablehaven Seth's need to explore grew. To study the new creatures of fairies Seth captures one oblivious to his future consequences. “Seth pounced slapping the lib on the jar. The fairies were so quick! He expected to catch all three, but two wizzed out just before the lib enclosed the covering. The remaining farry pushed against the lid with surprising force”(Mull48).

Why would someone take a risk? Is it not easier just to accept what one already has; but, suppose that what one has is not satisfying. Taking risks allows you to push beyond your limits. We all have a comfort zone where we'd like to stay and think we are entitled to certain luxuries. When you take risks, you can change that way of thinking, establish new limits, improve your ability to succeed in society. Jeannette lived an adventurous life, and many nights didn’t even eat. But where would we be without our sense of exploration, our willingness to try new things? First and foremost, when you decide to take a leap of faith, you are getting rid of any future regrets.
