Who hasn't ever dreamed of to live on a tropical island? Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands are only a few of the hundreds of islands scattered in the South Pacific (or the Pacific Ocean as it's really called), and all are more or less fantastic. However there is a island that i think is a bit close than all the others. Beautiful place called Bora Bora is an island of French Polynesia. Bora Bora is made up of the remnants of an extinct volcano, surrounded by a lagoon, circled by a coral reef and several small islands. French Polynesia is, as the name suggests, a French territory and the inhabitants speak either French or Tahitian (Tahiti is the main island in French Polynesia). There are plenty of hotels in Bora Bora and lots of

Richard Kuklinski was an incredibly cold-blooded man. He had at least 100 confirmed kills, and claims to have around 200 total. Richard has a very horrible childhood. Richard liked to torture and kill animals as a little boy. His father abused him and his brothers, one of which was killed from the abuse received from Stanley. Stanley’s brother, Joseph, was pretty messed up, too. He probably would’ve turned out to be a serial killer himself. Kuklinski himself wasn’t like Ramirez or Dahmer, or any other serial killer for that matter. Kuklinski was an evil man, with a ton of interesting information about him out there.
I will be writing about a special group of Puerto Ricans enlisted in the US Army between the years 1899 and 1959. This group of Puerto Ricans were termed as "The Borinqueneers". Due to my culture background I was educated in the fact that they were the first organization composed entirely of native Puerto Ricans who voluntarily enlisted in the new American Colonial Army in 1899. This group of Puerto Rican soldiers has a long history and they are very rich in traditions and military merits. The members of "The Borinqueneers" were soldiers who lived over the ideas and concept of what it was to serve their country and their nation with passion and dedication. Nearly 100,000 men served for several years in this unit, they were braves soldiers who devoted their lives to the service and are considered real war heroes.

Madera High is an ordinary high school in a fairly small town of about 60,000 people. Although the usual picture of bullying portrayed in the media does not occur here, there are still other forms of bullying and harassment that happen often. Cyberbullying has become the new form of harassment that teens use to bully other students. Social media is now the platform bullies prefer to use rather than the physical confrontation that bullying used to be. Through recent years, it has become an epidemic that has taken over the internet and social networks. It has made it even harder for students to get away from the bully or the person harassing them. At Madera High the amount of bullying seen at school by other students and staff is fairly low,

On the edge of a wooden platform, I shook. Below me in the lake, floated a red, blue, and yellow inflatable water contraption known as The Blob. The objective of the activity was to jump off a ridiculously high platform, onto the questionable device, and apparently have fun while doing so. But, as my toes skimmed the edge, the weight of gravity demolished any thrill I felt within. What if it popped when I jumped? What if I bounced backwards and hit my head? What if I missed the blob? I backed away slowly, refusing to risk my life. The reward was definitely not worth the possible outcomes. Then my summer camp counselor said something I will never forget. “The reason for your fear is the Devil. The Devil is inside of you and he is what creates your fear. Give up. Give up the Devil”. Now, hold up. Why would any person in their right mind think this is okay to say to a 10 year old child? I had never committed a crime. I had never told more than a little white lie. I had never wished ill upon anyone. Yet, the Devil was inside of me.

A bora ring is a sacred site for indigenous Australians where initiation ceremonies for indigenous males were held. In her poem "Bora Ring", Judith Wright mourns the loss in contemporary Australian society of the culture and traditions of indigenous Australians. She begins with descriptions of Aboriginal culture that has vanished as a result of European settlement. At the end of the poem, Wright recognizes the destruction wreaked upon indigenous Australians by their white brothers and shows remorse for these actions of the past. Through her use of diction, structural devices, and imagery, Wright expresses her sorrow at the disappearance of Aboriginal cultural heritage.
