I am writing a letter to recommend your nomination for the Unites States Naval Academy for Brendan Devine.
Mr. Devine is one of the finest, smartest, well rounded young men I have ever had the pleasure to coach. I consider him to be one of the best role models and leaders to his teammates and peers. He is someone who has worked hard every year and improved in every aspect of his life. This is an indication of his willingness to learn and achieve his goals. Athleticism aside, Brendan’s strongest quality may be the leadership that he gives to our team on a daily basis. He is always working with the younger wrestlers and puts the time during the off season to become a better person, both on and off the mat. He is selfless when it comes to being on the team and is willing to do anything to help the overall outcome. I have been coaching wrestling for almost 12 years now and am pleased to say that this is one of the hardest working wrestlers I have ever coached. Brendan is a very athletic,

The Meco leaders are responsible for organizing and running the senior retreats. He consistently proves to me and the school administration that he has what it takes to lead his peers. I am confident that his leadership skills will continue at the US Naval Academy. He works well with others and his unsurpassed dedication and strong personal initiatives are key to his all-around success at Malvern Prep. I believe that Brendan has the perfect attitude and personal drive to be an excellent officer at the Naval Academy. He is organized, motivated and accepts every challenge with the right attitude. One of Brendan’s other great characteristics, which I think is crucial to being a Naval officer, is his ability to be coached. He is humble and always tries to listen and improve. He has an inexhaustible drive which has directly helped lead my team to continued
The book I choice to read was, “Brian’s Winter”, by Gary Paulsen. This book is about Brian after the private plane he was flying in crashes into the rugged forests of Canada. Brian went through many struggles while trying the best he could to survive in the harsh environment. Some of the biggest events in this story include when he is attacked by a bear, during the major storms and some of his questionable encounters with the wolves. If I were telling a friend about the entire story in two minutes I would say, Brian’s parents were divorced, leading him to visit his father for the first time in a long time. He didn’t know what to expect from the trip though, one thing is for sure, he didn’t expect what actually happened to happen. So Brian
The privilege to command units afloat and ashore provided me with intimate exposure to the challenges experienced by our workforce and their families. Often accompanied by a myriad of ethical dilemmas, these challenges provided a wealth of experience and a better understanding of the impact a leader has on the workforce and their families. Similarly, my experience as the Boatswain’s Mate “A” School Assistant School Chief afforded me vital insight into the Coast Guard’s formal training system, Human Performance Technology and the development of future enlisted leaders. These experiences provided invaluable opportunities for me to interact with our workforce and understand their views, perform thorough assessments of complex situations, and provide accurate, sound, and practical counsel in order to achieve the best outcome for the unit and our Coast
Introduction: Throughout the book of Into The Wild Chris McCandless is known to be a wacko reckless idiot, and is also known to be courageous and heroic. However does a courageous person go out into the wilderness knowing that the outcome will be fatal? People viewed him from different perspectives and also have broad range of opinions of this young man. Some deemed him to be incredibly dim-witted or a man that simply just followed his heart. Evidence shows that Chris McCandless is actually a mix of both. The first opinion that described McCandless was brainless, idiotic, and extremely foolish. Many passages from Into The Wild can support this outlook.
My goal of serving our country with meaningful purpose and responsibility is clear to me. I am confident that attending the United States Naval Academy is the most effective way for me to achieve this objective, and for this reason, I request your
Devin Moncur graduated from BYU-Hawaii in 2004. He loves sales in his entire life. He always has something to sell and that is the way he met his best friend when he was a boy. Moncur had started different businesses, and some of them are based in Hawaii. For example, Alii Estate is a luxury vacation rental business based on Hawaii. The rate for a night is about thousands dollar. In his lecture, he shared 7 points he learned from his experience can help us be successful in our life.
I am writing this letter in the regards of Luke Wiesboeck. We have been close friends for 3 years, through different student organizations at Missouri State University. I have acted like as a mentor to Luke during this friendship. I am very proud of Luke’s progression as a leader.
As cadets are given these opportunities by their leaders, it is essential that they be willing to
In a society where individualism, simplicity and the divinity of nature, are no longer a top priority; many individuals go on odysseys to find those values. That is the case of Chris McCandless, who spend the last portion of his life living out his philosophy on life. Looking for who he was and what he believed in. Chris McCandless led a life that was similar to that of transcendentalists, through their shared values and outlooks on life.
Good Morning, it is with great pleasure that I write this letter of support for Orion Edwards in his application for the University of Guelph McKendry-Baker Memorial Scholarship.
In the fall of 2014, I applied and was accepted to be a part of the Leader in Training (LIT) program at Camp Don Lee. I knew about the LIT program because and I had always looked up to the older “LITs” as a young camper, and my older sister completed the program several years earlier, The LIT program is very selective and includes an intensive application process. Much like the college admissions process, Camp Don Lee receives many eligible candidates, but can only choose a select few based on recommendations, essays, and grades.
Throughout my high school career, I have been involved in the MCJROTC Raider Battalion. This program has greatly developed my leadership abilities and my ability to use leadership to benefit the whole unit instead of just myself. This is where JROTC really made me a better leader – it honed my ability to lead as part of a team. This year, I am the

I am writing this letter to respectfully ask for your support in helping me become one of the many distinguished cadets at the United States Military Academy. I have achieved so much in my 16 years of life and being appointed into the academy will be very well-deserving and forthcoming to all the amazing opportunities that the academy has to offer. I have worked tremendously hard to obtain a 4.0 gpa and maintain a class rank in the top 100 of my 1000 person class. With your help I can hopefully be appointed as a West Point candidate for the class of 2022.
My first visit to the Naval Academy was on family trip while in grammar school. On this and subsequent visits, the young men and women who chose to devote their lives to country and service greatly impressed me. As a high school student, I had the good fortune to experience Academy life via my acceptance to the competitive Summer STEM program, my invitation to Candidate Visit Weekend, and my participation in the Elite Throws Sports Camp. Through these first-hand experiences, I grew in awareness and commitment to an Academy education as an opportunity to enable me to serve my country. Moreover, I am honored to be a member of a gold star family, via my uncle Senior Master Sergeant Peter Bondi, recently deceased on active duty, and to have had a grandfather who served in the National Guard. Eulogies delivered for my Uncle Peter reflected a life of service and were a source of inspiration that fueled my resolve to serve.
As part of leadership, the mentoring program must be implemented across the squadron as a great tool to counsel, coach, look after the welfare of, and ensure Marines accomplish the mission in support of commander’s vision and expectations of teamwork, leadership, and communication. Also, a Values-Based Leadership Integration (VBLI) program will be incorporated into small-unit leadership. The VBLI is a good tool in that it improves communication skills of each Marine during a guided discussion as well as builds and sustains trust and loyalty between subordinates and leaders. Overall, making ever Marine relate better to the commander’s vision and expectations.
