If an American loses their character, it will take a lot of courage and motivation to gain what they lost back. To explain this, Benjamin Martin who was the leader of a militia, lost multiple of his kids. When he lost his oldest son he became very depressed and unmotivated to lead his army; however, he remembered what the British had done to his children, so with all his courage, he was able to become motivated again (The Patriot). This illustrates how it takes a lot of motivation and courage to gain back your character since Benjamin Martin lost his characters of effort and responsibility, since it was his responsibility to lead the army and put as much effort into leading the army as he could. Benjamin Martin gained his character back as he remembered that his soldiers were counting on him to lead the army, which caused him to gain back his character that he had lost.

A dynamic character exhibits a change through the course of the story because of something he learns through experience. Brother pushes his little brother so hard that Doodle physically dies. It takes that tragic event for Brother to be able to really see how selfish he was being, caring only about himself and disregarding the well-being of his little
In many works of literature, some characters change and grow while others remain the same. A character who changes is known as a dynamic character. In the novel A Raisin In the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, the main character, Walter Lee Younger, is an example of a dynamic character. Walter lives with his wife Ruth, his sister Beneatha, his son Travis, and his mother Lena in a small, one family apartment in the southside of Chicago. The black Younger family lived in a time period between 1945 and 1959 when black segregation was starting to become more recognized. They are barely making it through life moneywise and the family seems to be becoming weaker. Walter is an example of a dynamic character because his character evolves throughout the novel by changing from a selfless, caring, family man to a very selfish person, only looking out for himself.

A dynamic character is defined as one who undergoes significant changes that all contribute to the overall plot of the piece. This serves as why over the course of a novel, play or poem, one may notice the specific changes of certain characters. In the play The Crucible several Puritan girls began showing signs that they have been performing acts of witchcraft. One specific character in the play who goes by the name of Mary Warren, is a victim of the multitudinous witchcraft accusations. Warren plays a pivotal role in the town when it comes to witchcraft and the falsely accused. Mary’s persona changes as the play progresses, as during the beginning of the play she is quite
August Wilson’s play “Fences” is ideally one of the most significant and relevant plays of its time. The play places Troy Maxson in difficult situations as a father, husband and overall as a man. Into the Wild (2011), a movie based off a real life story, follows the travels of Christopher McCandless, who ventured across the country starting from the deep south of Georgia and ending in the excruciating cold of Alaska. Brian is certain the plane will never come so has to make tools, more fire, and better shelter. Brian also, has to learn how to catch fish and fool birds with his weapons. Brian makes lots of mistakes and learns from them and that's how he stays alive.
In beginning of the story, I would say Brian was clueless. There was a secret that he was trying to find out. Then it got worse. A few hours later the pilot was having a heart attack and it was up to him to fly the plane because it was a private plane, and he was the only one on the plane. He tried to learn from the mistakes. He didn’t know what to do. Brian felt his eyes start to bum and knew that there were going to be tears.
“Hatchet” is a great book, and was also made into a feature film in 1990. The book's main character Brian, who is thirteen years old, shows that the most important thing to him is his family. The story begins with Brian traveling to Canada to visit his father. He would travel there every summer. Until this summer Brian who gets stranded in the middle of the forest. During his flight back home the pilot had a heart attack and died. The plane crashed and landed in the middle of a lake in the forest. Surprisingly Brian survived the crash. This was due to the fact that the descent of the plane wasn't so steep and he landed in water. In this story Brian has the determination to get back to his parents. The only thing that he had after
I think the novel Hatchet is a thrilling and amazing book. I particularly like the part when Brian‘s was rescued. I would read another book by this author because I think since I enjoyed this novel I might like the books by this author. This book reminds me of a movie called Lost in the Green Hell. It is the same like this book but this time it’s about the story of a girl who was founded in the jungle of Peru by
