Satisfactory Essays

The story of Antigone starts with the tragic deaths of her brothers Eteocles and Polynices, who both died in a civil battle against each other for the throne. After their deaths, Antigone was left with the responsibility for their burial. Her uncle Creon, who retook the throne after Eteocles’ death, gave her orders on how to give the burials.
