At a time when the Boston Celtics are playing good ball, they last thing they want to see is personnel issues that could disrupt what seems to be great team chemistry. That may have been a bit too much to expect as G Avery Bradley has come forward with apparent issues related to his current four-year, $32 million contract. Based on information provided by writer Matt Moore of the Boston Globe, Johnson is becoming increasingly more dissatisfied with the contract he signed back in 2014 when represented by sports agent Mitchell Butler. He signed the contract after four years with the Celtics when he spent a good deal of time on the sidelines due to various injuries. After a decent 2013-2014 season when he stepped up his game and averaged 14.9 …show more content…
He's a force on the perimeter for one of the best defensive teams in the league in Boston, and he's shooting 37 percent from the arc. He's a major part of Boston's success." At this point, there is a danger related to the Celtics not immediately addressing the situation now that is has become public. First, there is always a risk Bradley's attitude could have a negative effect on the rest of the team, resulting in damage to the team's overall chemistry. Secondly, the team runs the risk of Bradley playing out his contract and going elsewhere for his next big contract because he feels the team was non-responsive and disrespectful of his situation. Either way, all the Celtics can do right now is hope Bradley holds it all together and acts as a professional. In a gambler's world, the best free bet offers are like gold. The Blazers are committed to a fault to him, and have handed the keys to the city over to him. Every player that has put on a uniform since Lamarcus was drafted has been because their skill set complements LA’s. In recent years, the addition of Wesley Mathews, Robin Lopez, and Damian Lillard are examples of the Portland’s commitment. Mathews and Lillard are two sharpshooting guards that can also drive to the hoop. Lopez the Yin to Aldridge’s Yang, collecting rebounds and defending the center position. The addition of Lopez is the best example because with him at center, LA is finally liberated from some of his defensive responsibilities in order to free up more energy to preform on offense as a power forward, his natural position. The thing that makes Lamarcus so unique is his unparalleled jump shooting ability, it is what allows him to drag defenders away from the hoop, and potential rebounding opportunities. Lopez is so effective because he is able to operate in the paint one-on-one with his opponent with Lamarcus stretching the floor on the perimeter. LA’s stretching ability not only frees the paint up for rebounds, but also cuts to the basket by Mathews, and Lillard because there is only one big to clog up the lane. These open cuts and drives naturally open up three point opportunities that are exclusive to this style of play. Needless to say, Lamarcus is the catalyst for the Trail Blazers, and without
The Milwaukee Bucks continue to struggle at the start of the regular season. And it seems that they are going to rebuild early on and unload some assets. Rumors are now spreading that they will finally trade Greg Monroe this time and looks that he is on his way to the Boston Celtics.
The Celtics have experienced a lot this offseason. They’ve been linked to numerous NBA trade rumors and placing some of their players on the trading block. The reason for this action is because of their desire to become a contender and go a long way.
For the price we had him for last year, that was fine, to a degree. If we're paying him $8 million annually, I think we can all agree it would be much smarter for Masai Ujiri to invest that money elsewhere. Finding perimeter scoring off the bench is important, but not committing $8 million per year important, especially not for this roster.
The flip of big men is a win/win for the Celtics, who likely shed money and bring in a better player. Theis is more versatile on offense and defense as the Celtics also brought in 2016 first rounder Ante Zizic, which would have limited Zeller's minutes even
Joel Embiid's Contract has to be the craziest sports move in history. You give a guy 148 million dollars, but he only played 31 games in 3 years. He has been injury prone ever since he came into the league and for you got to be the craziest organization in history. I'd rather give Ben Simmons 148 million dollars then Embiid. In my opinion, Ben Simmons is the next Lebron James. Embiid is a decent player, but he's not going to be great being restricted to 27 minutes a game for the rest of his career. Joel will be a good offensive player and a decent defensive player, but he will be worth 148 million dollars in my book. With that being said that is how I feel about this crazy situation. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please make
It still feels like the dust is settling from a venturesome off-season for the Indiana Pacers. Rebuilding is never an easy task, especially when you’re basically forced to and have to trade your best player who isn’t exactly content. You add in the factor that anyone who traded for Paul George, knew it’s basically a one-year rental. For that reason, Indiana didn’t receive what many people perceive as equal value in the trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder for Paul George. The Pacers received forward Domantas Sabonis and guard Victor Oladipo in the trade. Not an ideal package for George, but nonetheless helps the rebuilding process with the addition of two young up-and-coming players.
The team has shown the ability to play around him and compete as one of the best teams in the entire NBA. The majority of the team’s playoff failures have not been because of a lack of talent or chemistry, but rather some other sort of debacle. The last two seasons have ended with Blake Griffin sidelined and in 2014 the franchise had to deal with the whole Donald Sterling fiasco. Since DeAndre Jordan and JJ Redick’s emergence as premier players in the league the team hasn’t been healthy. With Paul on the roster the team’s ceiling is clearly higher than what they have achieved if they can stay healthy.
He is only averaging 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, but the energy he gives the Sixers cannot be determined by numbers. Saric and Embiid are having great rookie seasons that are making players like TJ McConnell and Robert Covington play better.
Phil Jackson did what most of us realist didn’t want him to do. He went out traded for Rose, then overpaid for an aging Joakim Noah.
The 26-year-old shooting guard only averages 5.8 points, 1.7 assist and 3.8 rebounds per game last season. Although he makes some great contribution to Cavs' title last NBA season, they are still not content with his performance.
Years and years of absolutely idiotic transactions have hampered the Knicks and it’s going to be a process in order to get the team back on track. The only real move I can point to and say, “Wow, that was horrible”, was the trade for Jose
The New Jersey Devils had essentially pinned all their franchise's future hopes on Ilya Kovalchuk. He was able to negotiate a monster 15 year contract, like one of the league's largest ever.
This may be something that seems pretty run-of-the-mill, and could have been something that more or less blew over in the eyes of the media after the investigation regarding Beverley’s altercation following the game. However, when Beverley spoke about the fine and the incident, he went off by saying the NBA does not do enough to protect its players.
The Nets got off to a really shaky start to the season, and things weren’t looking good. Coach Hollins was not pleased with the team, and was especially upset with his star center Brook Lopez. It got to a point to where he even benched Lopez for a while.
