Hello Kee. Your topic seems to be noteworthy! I find it interesting how probiotics can help decrease the incidence of C. diff. infection and I look forward to seeing the result of your lit review! It would be great to know that the evidence-based research studies could guide us as care providers in terms of educating our patients about the significance of these dietary supplements to reduce the prevalence of the C. diff. infection. This infection is a huge deal in health care! It causes approximately 500, 000 illnesses in one year, C, diff comes back at least once in 20 percent of the patients who had this infection previously, and it causes fatalities of 15,000 in a year (CDC, n.d.).

“FIRE!” the captain screamed. The battle was at a draw with both the British and Americans firing volley after volley of lead at each other. The air was filled with smoke, the screams of dying men, and rumble of artillery near by. Then, all of a sudden the British pulled back and headed to their camp. The Americans were also heading back to their camp. The battle had started 2 days ago and both sides couldn’t break each other’s hold on the other. Both generals didn’t know what to do, but both vowed to never surrender.
Unit 10 was a closure for the previous four units in the process of inventing Canada. This unit based on the earliest resources on Canadian history and on the first nations whom lived in this country. This resources were about pre-Cartier and his explorations. Some nations, for example the people who lived in St. Lawrence valley – whom did not have a specific name to be called at- and historians still lacking enough evidence on their existence or what happened with them. These people who are identified as St. Lawrence Iroquoians were lived in the contact area which means the conquerors reached them first. The Iroquoians were exposed to all the dangers Europeans carried into the native lands, different types of diseases they were not immune
Clostridium Difficile (C-Diff) is considered one of the most common infections a patient can acquire within their hospital stay. It is estimated that C-Diff is responsible for 337,000 infections and 14,000 deaths a year (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2012). Working in the emergency department (ED), I have witness first hand how debilitating this gastrointestinal infection can be. Patients are admitted to the ED for having severe watery diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever. Elderly patients are at increase risk for sepsis and dehydration related to recurrent infections. Appropriate management and education of C-Diff is optimal for patient survival and decrease contamination across lifespan.
Thesis Question: President Herbert Hoover is often undermined and overlooked as an idle predecessor in comparison to the renowned Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Many people believe that it was Hoover’s lack of action that brought America to its knees before the Great Depression. Should Herbert Hoover be defined as the ineffective president accountable for the aftermath of the Stock Market Crash of 1929 or did he actually play an important role in alleviating the economic turmoil, but simply went unrecognized for his heroic contributions?
In today’s society, a good quality education is an important and valuable necessity. As a college student at Lone Star College, my college experience has greatly influenced me in an enormous amount of ways. By attending college, I have not only had a chance to receive a quality education and degree, but also an opportunity to socialize and interact with various people from different cultures. In addition, the professors on campus have been extremely helpful towards teaching me to succeed in both inside and outside the class room. Furthermore, my college experience at Lone Star has greatly influenced and encouraged me to be successful and achieve my dream of becoming a doctor.
The rate of costridium difficile infection has increased in both hospital and community settings during the last two decades. The main caused of C. difficle is inappropriate use of antibiotic usage. Doctors are prescribing antibiotics for virus related SXS and environmental factors. The first step to treating C. difficile is stop taking the antibiotic that triggered the infection. For severe and recurrent cases Doctors usually prescribe Vancomycin according to the CDC. This antibiotic is gradually tapered dose given once every few days. If the antibiotic does not work and C. difficle caused damage to organs and interfere with electrolyte balance than surgery can be done to remove the part of the intestine that is damaged. Another way to treat
Clostridium Difficile, or C. diff, is a common occurrence in hospitals. But how does one know that they are in fact dealing with a patient with C. diff and not just diarrhea? It all lies in the symptoms. C. diff diarrhea has a distinct odor. The patient also feels a constant urgency, a need to always go to the restroom. The stool contains mucous. Beyond that, most patients will present with a low grade fever, mild leukocytosis, hyperactive bowel sounds, and mild abdominal tenderness. (Headly, 461)

Clostrium Difficile, also known as “C-Diff”, is a bacteria found in environmental things such as; air, soil, water and human and animal feces. It can also be found in food products most commonly processed meats. C-Diff has been linked to antibiotic-associated diarrhea and colitis. In 1994, J.G Bartlett researched that “C-Diff accounts for 10-25% of all cases of antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and virtually all cases of antibiotic pseudomembranous colitis.” Clostrium Difficile is most commonly associated with health care facilities including; hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. The bacteria found in c-diff are passed when health care professionals do not wash their hands properly and touch foods, objects and surfaces. This is an important reason why we as health care professionals need to remember to put our hand washing into full affect at all times, remembering to wash our hands
\textit{Pneumatic compression therapy is one of the most effective treatments for venous and lymphatic disorders, yet these devices are expensive and difficult to use in daily life due to its restriction on patient mobility. Consequently, we have developed an autonomous wearable compression therapy (AWCT) device that can reconfigure the treatment pressure automatically based on user activity and provides the required treatment without the active involvement of the patient or the carer. However, there is no available evaluation system to validate the performance of the AWCT. This paper therefore presents development of a low-cost robot arm for the evaluation of wearable devices by simulating kinetic parameter changes during walking and running

According to the definition of the World Bank in 2001, “a person is considered poor if his or her income level falls below some minimum level necessary to meet basic needs. This minimum level is usually called the "poverty line" and used in each country differently taking into consideration its level of development, societal norms and values”.
There are many diverse kinds of crisis, most of which are well known among the public: natural disasters, poverty, economy, and death are only a few. All are important, but they are also a distraction from a larger, underlying issue. A crisis that has been ignored for several decades, something that will affect all of our lives and future generations to come, is our changing climate. What can we do as informed citizens to get communities to notice what’s not only going on around them, but is being caused by their mundane actions? J.G. Ballard’s The Drowned World and Philippe Squarzoni’s Climate Changed both emphasize a forthcoming future where we can no longer ignore the deviations in the environment around us, along with the present, where
