CCS (Continuous Curriculum School) is probably the best school in the district for many distinct reasons. For one, the teachers are determined to get the best out of each and every one of their students. They expect all the students to turn in all assignment, even the worst students will end up being at least average, though most will be above standard. Students there have very good work ethics. Since the teachers get through more of the lessons, the students tend to be more prepared for high school. The dress standard is an average between the low dress code of the middle school and Gonzaga Prep. At CCS there are way less drugs, bullying and bad words flying around. I admit there are some bad words, but they aren’t used in every sentence
After a few months of searching and deliberating, the sixth grade English Language Arts teachers in the Little Lake City School District (LLCSD), decided to implement the EngageNY curriculum. EngageNY was created in 2011 and is currently maintained by the New York State Education Department after the state adoption of Common Core State Standards (CCSS). EngageNY encompasses both English language arts and math curriculum for pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade. The curriculum design is based on research that addresses the six language arts instructional shifts: Balance Informational/ literary text, build knowledge in the disciplines, staircase of complexity, text-based answers, writing from sources, and academic vocabulary; by aligning content,
From what I have been through, my current high school experience has not been meeting my expectations. After speaking with friends and parents, I believe that Archbishop Mitty High School can provide the experience that I am seeking. One aspect I am looking for is a larger campus, school community and a safer environment. I feel that the size and location of Archbishop Mitty will help enhance my learning experience. Something else I am looking for in my new high school experience is more school spirit and camaraderie. I have attended many sports events at Archbishop Mitty and I have thoroughly enjoyed the enthusiasm and spirit of the environment. One last reason is that I am looking for a school that can provide a larger class selection with

Chisholm, one of the best middle schools that I went to. Chisholm teaches seventh and eighth grade students. In seventh grade you get to have iPads for a whole school year. In eighth grade you get laptops for a whole school year. At Chisholm, you get to choose electives for full years or semesters. An elective is like PE, music, art, ect.
As you know, Columbia City is on the move. We are becoming bigger and better than ever. Within the last year we have added new eating establishments for family and friends to enjoy. There have been several upgrades to our historic downtown, including a beautiful new park in the heart of the city and cosmetic changes to several of our beautiful buildings. Our main roads are much more pleasant to drive down as Main Street and 109 have had recent upgrades. In addition, our fantastic town has many more projects in the works including a waterpark to attract area residence for some exciting recreation. Last but not least, the newest and most profound addition that will benefit the citizens of Columbia City for generations to come, a brand new, state of the art high school.
There are many qualities that make Wyandotte High School to attend. There are a lot of teacher and staff that care about the students and it’s a safe place that encourages kids to do better. WH also mimics the real world, it has a very diverse and different population and anyone can
The core curriculum at Army War College and elective experiences are interconnected and supportive in many ways. The JLASS elective is much in support to the Theater Strategy and Campaigning Course (TSC) and European Regional Studies. TSC lessons the Join Operation Planning Process, Operational Art and Multinational Operations were key subject matter to frame and analyze the strategic environment, and to understand the problem. Furthermore, the DIME concept is another very important tool, which allows us to think and bring the different options to the problem. Regional Study was key to understand the relation and strategic dynamics that are going on in Theater of Operations under EUCOM AOR. However, the World Summery challenges and change some of the current security dynamics in the AOR. Create more creativity to think in different way, wicked problem, and moving from the liberal to more realism IR theories. The Regional Study, particularly the EU and NATO lessons were very helpful to understand the strategic decisions and organizational dynamics between EUCOM and NATO. Finally, the connectivity of the core curriculum and JLASS is great mechanism to comprehend and
Though Challenger and Apollo were high on my list, I felt like Mansfeld was my best option. I live in Navajo-Pinal, a dorm on 6th street that is situated right across Mansfeld. Not having a car and living a thirty second walk away from the school, it was the best option for me. The demographics of Mansfeld seemed to be majority white and latino, with actually more African-Americans than I would have thought. I personally did not see any asians, but that seems to be in line with the rest of Tucson. However, the socioeconomic status was a bit harder to distinguish. Mansfeld has a dress policy and, at least during my middle school years, how someone dressed was indicative of their socioeconomic status. I would say the school is definitely not upper or lower class. The students did not seem like they were living in poverty, but I would say lower-middle class was the most popular. The teachers seemed to be majority women and were either hispanic or white. I remember one African-American and he was a security guard. I had zero issues with the teachers and they helped provide a wonderful experience.
Personally, I think McCorkle has a great school climate. Trust cards, mustang bucks and the common areas between the classrooms are all reasons that I see McCorkle being a example of a school with great school climate. I feel as though the teachers genuinely care about their students and want the best for each and every one of them. The administration, even the librarians make an effort everyday to learn the students names. The atmosphere at McCorkle is always positive and uplifting and I think that helps makes for the best school climate.
The stakeholders are the individuals may be the learners, health care providers, and policy makers of the institution or the hospital for identification of the need, and development of curriculum for educational aspect to enhance the standard of care. My experience at South Hills Elementary was a pleasant one. The overall atmosphere was cheery and bright and the kids seemed enthusiastic as I passed them in the hallway. I was in an all Spanish- speaking kindergarten reading class. My teacher was fluent in Spanish and English. One of the main things that impressed me was how well the children worked so independently. They all had something to do, and they all completed their tasks. Some of the kids were listening to Spanish music and singing along. Others were on the promethean board dragging letters to complete words. Some students were quietly reading in their chairs while the rest of the classroom was working around them. Another thing that impressed me was the way the teacher individually assessed each students progress to get a feel for their current reading level. Kids would be called over or she would walk over and sit down to read with each individual student. It was really enjoyable seeing her sound out the words with each student to make sure they knew what they were saying. In addition, the third thing that
students pass. While furthering education is encouraged at Del Vista, they guide the students towards two year schools and community colleges in opposition to the career orientate Maplewood and elite college goal of Middle Brook. Each of these cultural norms the schools engrain in the student is beneficial in one form or another, but each system is far from perfect. The emphasis on careers is beneficial when planning for the future, and Maplewood does assist in course management. However, the emphasis on college is not quite as developed as it could be preventing students from meeting to necessary requirements or knowledge needed for their desired school. Middle Brook is quite the opposite. So much of the attention in that school is focused on the application process and how to get into the desired college that what happens next tends to be over looked. Not enough emphasis is placed on career development so when the students do successfully get into college they are lost in a sense. Del Vista just supports mediocrity. While they do guide students to graduation and encourage college, they don’t strive to bring these kids to their best abilities. So, while every one of these methods helps students in one way or another all the normative cultures supported by these schools fall short somewhere.
As an educator it is very important that a teacher uses different methods to teach the variety of different learning styles, and it is also important that the teacher uses a variety of assessment procedures. People don’t learn the same, and people don’t test the same either. I personally, am horrible when it comes to taking multiple choice and problem solving type assessments. I do better with essay and writing assessments, presentations, and teaching back what I have learned. With the understanding of how I can best be assessed myself, it will be important when I am the teacher that I use many methods to assess and grade my students work.

I know going to high school is a really big change. It is not easy to move on from Middle School to High School.Lake View I think is a really good option for me. Something that I will do if I go to Lake View is always try my best and I'll never give up to do the best I can. Lake View is one of the options that are a good school I could go to.
