Ever since I was a little girl I have always aspired to follow in my grandfather’s footsteps and become a prosperous attorney like him. He exerted himself strenuously, graduated from Northeastern Law School and was one of the founding partners of the Morrison, Mahoney and Miller Law firm currently located in Boston. It has been an arduous journey for me to verbally express the least endeavoring to follow my grandfather’s legacy. Shortly after graduating high school, my life consummately spiraled out of control and I was faced with adversity that seemed insurmountable. It is paramount to take a moment and apportion some brief history considering that I my past has molded me into the strenuously exertive, goal oriented student I have always aspired to be.

Through experiencing social injustices, and making myself more culturally aware of inequality amongst social classes, I believe I have cultivated the leadership skills necessary for success. My willingness to reach out to the environment beyond me has exposed me to a career path that excites me and is my true passion. I believe I would be a good candidate for the FBI Citizen's Academy because I very involved with youth in the high school I work in. I truly believe that all teenagers have the ability to be active and productive citizens of their community. Some of the youth need more guidance than others. Used by the NJSP and various outside agencies, the Voicebox system is a primary tool of police wiretapping operations. Furthermore, I have managed the entire MAPPS System software, this includes negotiating with outside vendors and writing of waivers each valued at a quarter of a million dollars or more. Having been an assistant unit head since 2011, and in charge of two enlisted and five civilian personnel, my experience in managing personnel is established. My current assignment in the MAPPS/SPU Unit has required a wealth of different skill sets including, editing and writing SOPs, completing MAPPS Supervisory Training Lesson plans, and instructing hundreds of new supervisors.

According to COBUILD Advanced English Dictionary, “The FBI is a government agency in the United States that investigates crimes in which a national law is broken or in which the country's security is threatened.” In the FBI, there are several different paths that can be taken to best suit an individual's interest; special agent, profiler, forensics, intelligence analysis, behavioral analysis, and many other specific fields. Each field requires different training, with individual studies. The FBI is a very tough and competitive career. It takes hard work and dedication in all career fields of the FBI, to become an FBI agent.

For my career I chose to do FBI field agent. I want to do this because I always wanted to do something with the government. My mom worked with the government and got to meet tons of celebrities. My brother-in-law is in special forces and told me some things he did that I think is interesting.
