Once a grant organization and program type have been created, a user can then enter information for a specific grant.
The “Grant Name” field should list the name of the grant, allowing the grant to be distinguished by year. The “Grant Organization” field must reflect a grant organization that has already been entered, as with program type; if not, the user will receive an error message. In the example pictured above, the program type of energy assistance and the grant organization of CT Grant Giver have already been defined. The monetary amount of the grant must also be entered, along with the due date in MM/DD/YYYY formatting.

Database
Introduction
In the instructions outlined above, the user is able to add, edit, and delete data that is stored in the Access database, titled WAIM Grants File. Once this data is entered, WAIM can use the Access file to view the data in a way that helps to address the business problem. For example, through running reports on the data, WAIM can quickly understand any grant applications that are outstanding (serving as a To-Do list), track where received funds have been allotted within the organization (based on program type), and monitor the entry and exit of employees/volunteers. Reports can also serve as a contact directory, allowing easy access to volunteer contact information, as well as contact information for a given grant-giving organization. Data found in the reports is gathered using queries, but the user does not need to directly interact with the queries. The structure of queries can be found in the appendix. When the user opens the WAIM Grants File, the created reports are visible under “Reports” on the left-side pane. To open a report, the user double clicks the report.
Data in the reports is automatically
Microsoft Access is not just a DBMS but it is a DBMS plus an application generator. Microsoft Access contains a DBMS engine that creates, processes, and administers the database and also contains form, report, and query components that are the Microsoft Access application generator.
• Develop complete understanding of LMI performance goals and intended outcomes related to assigned grants or programs. Communicate and explain performance requirements, in consultation with management, to grantee staff and management; interpret and provide assistance/expertise as needed.
This step includes the task of describing a subset of data for each type of user based on his/her privileges and requirements. This is done to ensure that no additional information is given to the user. Views provide a level of abstraction to the database.

While researching, there were a couple grants that stood out to me. For instances, the System of Care Expansion Implementation Cooperative Agreements focuses mostly on improving "behavioral health outcomes for children and youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families" ("Implementation Cooperative..."). The goal for this grant is to aid the availability and access to mental health care and similar services for these children to help them with their emotional disturbances ("Implementation Cooperative...").
In Howard County there are specific guidelines which must be followed when considering applying for for grants as per HCPSS Policy 4000. Howard County also offers assistance in grant writing through the Grant Support Services (GSS) Office. This office provides grant-related services to school and central administration staff in the areas of grants research, development, and procurement. Through Media staff members, I was able to receive a copy of Policy 4000, and it revealed grant procedures are guided by quite specific procedures; the following apply for and using grant funds.

If the user is a Human Resources employee, the system will give them access to certain abilities, actions, and data based on their log-in information, and department serial code. The Human Resource user is outlined below (Figure n). The Human Resource employee will be able to access incoming requests for data and requests for changes of data through a list that looks very
CPL used this pre-application time as an opportunity to develop programs for the various populations and keep track of attendance and feed back; in effect, making an argument for the necessity of the planned grant execution.
It was reported the facility admitted a resident requiring insulin injections. Resident Gregory Regosin DOB: 6/4/61 was admitted 30 day ago and was diagnosed with diabetes and diabetic neuropathy. According to the reporting party the facility had been administering the resident's medication due the resident inability to self-administer due to the neuropathy. On 7/21/16 the administrator Maria Manimeo became angry with the resident regarding an unrelated issue and declared "you can give it to you yourself" referring to the insulin. The resident disclosed that the facility is administering the medication (insulin), however at time the facility refuses to administer the injection. The resident stated he is unable to administer in injection due
Chapter one helped clarify grant terminology that I may run into while conducting grant research and filling out grant applications. I found this useful because I now have a better understanding of what certain grants are looking for and the grant language that is needed. This chapter also helped me learn how to set up a plan for keeping track of the grants I am working on and helped set up the process. The second chapter goes over how to create and complete funding plans for each grant. It stresses that without a plan it is difficult to have a successful grant process. This chapter has useful suggestions on what to look for within an organization to decide where funding is needed. The third

Microsoft Access provides many functions for end users. While working in IT Support, many different situations may present from customers phoning in and requesting information or assistance. Following are three different situations that may be presented at a support desk. First, we will examine a veterinarian who wants to use Microsoft® Access® for his business, and has some questions regarding the functions of Access. Second, a man created a database to inventory his customers’ past due accounts to ensure that he receives payment. Third, a user has been using a Microsoft® Access® database and queries to track her commemorative
