ImprovedLives Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to support self-sufficiency in the lives of economically disadvantaged individuals. Many families and individuals are supported by making them aware of resources that are available to them as well as providing them with vital services to improve their independence. The non-profit organization provides individuals with access to computers and help them to be able to navigate application solutions online. ImprovedLives operates in three locations at which they offer social services to their target customers. Presently, documentation of client information is manually done on paper, and there is lack of a computer network to link operations between the three office locations. This
Human service agencies have limited funding and rely greatly on donations. This may make it difficult for human service organizations to obtain necessary technology that will improve service distribution and eliminate the barriers that cause ineffectiveness. TechSoup is a non-profit organization that provides various software applications at a vastly discounted price. “TechSoup is a nonprofit with a clear focus: providing other nonprofits and libraries with technology that empowers them to fulfill their missions and serve their communities. As part of that goal, we provide technology products and information geared specifically to the unique challenges faced by nonprofits and libraries” (TechSoup, 2009). Funding is a barrier most human services organizations face because funding is limited and competition to receive

DonorPro was marketed to VLP as a “quick fix” to its database issues. Not being expressly designed to serve as a social service CRM, DonorPro claimed that their basic data collection framework could be customized to fit VLP’s needs and that further customization and organizational specifications could be implemented on an as needed basis; initial customization of DonorPro took four years.
1 a.) I have been performing my fieldwork at Whittier Health Network in Haverhill, Massachusetts. There many different types of patients and clients receiving services at my fieldwork site, from patients receiving rehabilitation services, to residents receiving dialysis. Some of the patients that my fieldwork supervisor and I have been meeting with have ranged in age from mid-forties to late eighties, and have had various diagnoses. One patient that my supervisor and I have met with was a women in her mid-fifties. She has recently had knee surgery, and has been suffering from respiratory problems. She also has been experiencing high levels of anxiety, which appears to be due to her inability to breathe properly and easily. Another patient we have been seeing who has been experiencing difficulties with respiration and breathing is a man in his early seventies. He has been ill, and was experiencing difficulty with breathing. He is currently using a tracheostomy tube, which has allowed him to breathe, and make great progress throughout his stay at the facility. Another patient we have been seeing is a women in her mid-sixties. This patient had obtained an injury to the lumbar region of her spinal cord, and in turn has recently had spinal surgery. Other patients that we have seen have been experiencing various injuries that they are working on recovering from; are experiencing various ailments such as dementia, confusion, and Alzheimer’s; or are experiencing difficulties with
I just submitted a distant site request on CORE. I would be able to commute to this location from where I live now.
Last year there were 42 million Americans that lived in homes that were food insecure, and of those 42 million approximately 29 million were adults and 13 million were children. North Carolina accounted for nearly 16% of that 42 million, resulting in a little more that 6.5 million who are in need locally. I am James Coe the director of contributions for “The Need to Feed Foundation.” We are a publicly recognized doer of good and have helped define the industry standard as a leader in the NonProfit Sector for food banks. Last year we raised 250 thousand dollars and successfully served over 1 million people in need by using donations provided by generous people like you.

LifeCare Alliance’s overall mission is to “lead the community in identifying and delivering health and nutrition services to meet the community’s changing needs” (Lifecare, 2015). According to McDonald (2007), the mission of a nonprofit organization should satisfy needs that are inadequately met by private and profit organizations. There are many profit and private organizations in the central Ohio area that do not effectively cater to the needs of poor, inner-city senior citizens. It was evident that LifeCare Alliance’s Meals-On-Wheels Program modeled its mission by satisfying the needs of the impoverished, elderly adults who may go unrecognized by the Columbus city system. I was able to witness and assist this non-profit organization in fulfilling its mission by servicing food and friendly, warm interactions with the individuals in need throughout the Columbus area.
The client is the Jewish Family Services. They proved supplies to families and elderly who are suffering from low income and are forced to decide between living and food. Their goals are to assist people who need help and to empower those who wish to provide a better future for their families. The Jewish family serves is there to assist families that need help and hope that the family that they helped will turn around and help another family who is seeking an opportunity. I plan to redesign the Jewish family Serves site to make it more user friendly for people who can’t operate a computer or who doesn’t have a computer and can only gain access through a cellular device.
Your organization focuses on closing the gap between low-income and high-income in the technology aspect, and your vision insists that technology should be provided for everyone because technology is the new way of life. A new era is coming, and everyone should be part of this revolutionizing better way of life.
All groups of clients, their families, and the community that surrounds us should feel positive about my agency, Alliance Healthcare Services. The agency was founded in 1983 as a mobile crisis service for the community. This is a service that is provided in part by the state to help people in the community who are experiencing a mental health crisis. My agency truly cares about the people and families in which they serve; this is shown through their mission statement and values. “To improve the health and well-being of the people we serve by ensuring highly effective, community-based support and care, at Alliance our values of Accountability and Integrity, Collaboration, Compassion, Dignity and Respect, and Innovation shape the work we do every day” (Alliance Behavioral Healthcare. (n.d.). (2015).
Poughkeepsie Children's Home with 400 children and their families using the full board services, with 1,000 persons using the services transitionally. The home is currently expanding services to New Jersey and Rhode Island by 2015. This report plan identifies there is a need to improve the home's information and database management systems to cater for the increased demand. An assessment of the current is done by interviewing employees and managers to identify areas of need in information flow between the various levels of organizational structure. A use-case model of the departments, offices, managers, staff, and functions is created to map out the flow of information. These methods identify the home has a poor flow of information, poor recording, reporting, and management of information, no coordination of information management, and a lack of skills and knowledge in the use of technology among the staff. The key actors in the environment were identified through laying out the
