CCIB LPA received a call from Theodore and his girlfriend, Linda Lubert. Theodore and Linda were in a skilled nursing (rehab) facility until May 9th, 2015. They were given 24 hours to move and ended up at this facility. When they arrived, they were not appraised, given any care plan or schedule. Both need assistance getting up, dressed and with hygiene, they have to beg for staff to help them. The doors to their rooms are locked at night and they are not allowed out of them. This happens during the day sometimes as well. Since he has arrived he has had to wait five days for assistance with showering, staff say they do not have time or the towels are in the dirty laundry. Both Theodore and Linda have noted that their medications are not being

Lyle McKinney and Heather Novak address in the article “FASA Filing among first-year college students: who files on time, who doesn’t, and why does it matter?” that every year many students fail to collect financial aid because they did not file for one. The reason why students do not file for FAFSA is because they believe that they do not meet the requirements for financial aid. Other think that they can provide for themselves without the help from financial aid. Some students worry about their privacy or they either miss the application deadline. According to McKinney and Novak, “44% of first-year community college students did not file a FAFSA” (McKinney and Novak 12). Community college students who file late or after the deadline will get
College Access Foundation of California (CAFC) is based in California State and the non-profit foundation came into being in 2005 after the sales of student loan company Chela Education Financing, Inc. To conclude, Miami Dade College offers innumerable opportunities, not only to its valued students, but also to its employees. Miami Dade College is a family of change makers and enthusiasts who always aim for greatness. Miami Dade has been the catalyst in my synthesis as a competitive student who refuses to stand still and watch innovation from a distance. This school has taught me to embrace change and adapt to quickly changing situations, since that is what constitutes life. My life has been a chain of events that lead to bigger events, and my stay in the college has been the biggest event that culminated in the fusion of a hardworking, perseverant, competitive, indebted young person with the right tools to flourish. I’m successful because
The success of a business is to a large extent determined by its strategic position, business tactics and the management's ability to coordinate available resources. The formation of LorPel to a significant level represents a successful business whose operational strategies presented well, researched and carefully implemented strategies. LorPel was formed in 2003, having overcome a significant number of challenges in the registration process. This paper composes of an analysis of the business; including a situational analysis, company strategy and recommendations for future development.
Partnerships with businesses will increase and provide students with more internship opportunities. Individuals in different fields will be mentors to students. The University could increase enrollment numbers by accepting more out-of-state students.
I support the proposal of creating a Fusion Program at Southeastern. We need to find ways to fill the needs of the workforce in America today. The cost of education has gone up significantly in our country. This program will allow many students who were priced out of a traditional education to get one. It is important for students to not be saddled with a lot of debt when they leave college. There is a skilled labor shortage that needs to be addressed. Having a certification program is very important to a student to be ready to work in a area
I wish to attend Texas A&M because the academics and atmosphere promise superlative growth for me during my college education. Because I intend to pursue a career in business, I see the Mays School of Business as the epitome of education. Focused on a business environment that is full of constant change and evolving technical resources, Texas A&M would give me the confidence that I am receiving the most forward-focused business education. Texas A&M provides an atmosphere that would allow my personality to thrive. The campus spirit brings a sense of community and belonging. While walking on campus during visits, I recognize a warm, joyful and welcoming atmosphere that I could call home. The robust loyalty to the University and fellow
Protecting students educational and privacy rights is vitally important. Understanding FERPA will help me as an advisor in the future when I am talking with students and if they have specific questions on their rights, I can give them the correct information. As an example, US Department of Education (2017) explains that in order for a school to give information about a student to parent, written consent from the student as to be given before any information is released (US Department of Education, 2017). As an advisor, this information is critical for me to know when someone is requesting information on their child behalf. Understanding what is allowed and not allowed in the FERPA ACT is helpful for me as an advisor because I can give students information and understanding of what are their rights and how they can request information in their file. Students have a right to inspect and review their files and change those records if something is not correct. Advisors have the responsibility of helping students through this process if they need to know more information or clarification about their educational records. As an advisor, if a student has a concern about their education records and make me aware that
There are many different terms that are used when implementing the ABA process. One of them is task analysis which means to analyze a task into component parts so that those parts can be taught through the use of chaining. Chaining is a skill to be learned that is broken down into small units for easy learning. These skills will be skills that are written in the child’s behavior plan and IEP as skills that the child needs to improve on. They will start out with a very basic part of the skill and build up until the skill is able to be completed independently by the child. For example, a child that needs to learn how to brush his teeth will start by learning how to open the toothpaste cap, then would move on to squeezing the tube, and so on until he is able to brush his teeth himself. This process may be a slow one depending on how fast the child is able to catch on to the components of the activity. It is important that the skills are practiced consistently.
The PEVPAA must make certain that faculty, staff, administrators, and students have the resources they need to be successful. This means that the PEVPAA must actively seek out resources from within and outside the university to support the success of the members of the university community. The PEVPAA is also the chief spokesperson and advocate for the university’s academic programs and faculty to internal and external stakeholders. It is the PEVPAA’s responsibility to inspire academic excellence and commitment through visionary leadership and comprehensive strategic planning. As the university’s leading academic planner, the PEVPAA should actively engage students, staff, faculty, chairs, and deans in the planning process to ensure ongoing improvement in all aspects of the university. The development of excellent and innovative academic programs and initiatives should be a prime goal for the PEVPAA, deans, department chairs, and faculty. The PEVPAA must advocate the centrality of excellence in the academic program and provide a clear model of servant
Living Learning Communities facilitate learning, growth, and friendship. LLCs seek students who are dedicated and motivated. Personally, I am both; throughout high school, I have worked hard and studied hard. I maintained a high GPA while participating in theatre almost every day after school. Indeed, I was able to take rigorous Advanced Placement courses along with dual enrollment engineering course while helping to run my school’s theatre company, Lymlight Production. I plan to continue both this hard work while at USF. Thus, living in an LLC will help me meet my goals.
