It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation to offer my highest recommendation for Patrick Barron to be considered to intern with the National Urban League Organization. Although many individuals ask me to write similar recommendations, I only write these letters if am sure the student is truly committed to the overall purpose of the organization.
Patrick is that student, his level of dedication and commitment is unmatched. Not only is this seen in his academics (GPA 3.78), his ability to handle two majors: History and Economics, but many other endeavors.
Patrick became involved in Seton Hall University Student Life Leadership Program his first year of college and also
I am writing this letter to inform those who it concerns, that I will be resigning after the 11th of September, of my place, as president, in the Harrisburg FCCLA chapter. This letter comes after a lot of thought, contemplation, and sadness over my experience. Since my freshmen year, FCCLA has been a passion of mine. I loved everything it involved, stood for, and meant for so many people. Once being elected as our chapter’s president in May, I was incredibly excited for my senior year as president, however, after my trip to nationals, my excitement minimized.
It’s with great privilege to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Machayla Longfoot, a Senior FFA member at Judson High School. Machayla is an outstanding student and a valuable part of her FFA chapter. Over the past three years she has developed into one of the strongest leaders in her chapter. Machayla is someone her fellow FFA members look up to and seek guidance from. She can be counted on and is a good organizer when something needs to be accomplished.
I plan to carry the torch his hard work and dedication lit many years ago. My aspiration is to obtain a B.A. in Mass Communications and Non-Profit Management. This accomplishment will better my chances to achieve what I believe is my God-given purpose: to work with and encourage the academic and personal achievements of underserved youths my community. There is a need to continually educate and motivate my community, and like William Hooper Councill, I have an internal persistence for success that will not stop until needs are met and goals are
These organizations will enhance my found passion for service and justice and empower me to do more. Beyond the opportunities Berkeley law offers to me, I know that I will add a unique perspective on law and justice to the already diverse and inclusive student body because I have a unique background, and experiences including, my experiences from my immersion trips in various communities in Kenya, Tanzania, and the United
I was raised with the fundamental notion of service to mankind, I have always been interested in society’s injustices and problems, and being a catalyst for change. This has brought me to applying to the University of Central Florida’s Master of Nonprofit Management program within the School of Public Administration. I am currently a practitioner in Social Work and serve as the Director of Social Services at the Orlando Area Command of The Salvation Army. I have received my bachelors and master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, FL.
As a child, growing up in a low income household has made me humble and attentive to other’s situations. Similarly, my South Asian family has instilled a strong nature to serve others, which is the reason I have been involved in service learning activities throughout my undergraduate career, such as LIFT – Chicago and Refugee One. Even post-graduation, my work at Wekaw caters to urban underserved populations. In graduate school, I wish to continue this involvement in campus organizations which enforce diversity inclusion, whether it is joining a volunteering club aiding community populations or conducting research with immigrants. This is one aspect of diversity I can contribute to Rosalind Franklin University, and is also why my professional goal is to work in a community hospital serving diverse populations.
I would like to be considered for the Lance Robert McLendon Scholarship because I am a hardworking, disciplined individual. I have committed myself to take advantage of the plethora of scholarship opportunities available to students such as myself. I welcome this opportunity to allow you, the reader to get to know me.
I am writing this letter in the regards of Luke Wiesboeck. We have been close friends for 3 years, through different student organizations at Missouri State University. I have acted like as a mentor to Luke during this friendship. I am very proud of Luke’s progression as a leader.
Connor is a very motivated student who strives to reach his full potential and has produced some outstanding work this year. His Database, Networking and Website skills are impressive and show what hard work and dedication can accomplish. I encourage him to pursue this subject next year.
It is truly an honor that I have the humbling opportunity to be a potential member of Barry Goldwater High School’s National Honor Society and that I would have the privilege to represent the society’s values and principles. I am elated to have the occasion to demonstrate and further develop my leadership skills and become a productive member in my community. Throughout my academic career, I found that the utilization of the four principles of NHS has helped me and I know that I will continue to demonstrate these traits in the future far after I graduate high school.
I am writing this letter of recommendation for the Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award to recognize my CHM 256 T.A. Haitham Kalil. I've only known him for about 4 weeks, and he has already shown the utmost respect and concern for his students since the first day of class. He is very aware of his responsibilities as an instructor and is understanding towards certain situations as well as give his full attention to his students to help succeed in the class. As a second year student my experience with college professors and instructors are limited but during my attendance at Cleveland State University I can distinguish the instructors that want the best for their students. As the engaged learning experience in Cleveland state represents
From an early age, King recognized many of the disparities his community faced and took the initiative to address those issues. During the summers of his teen years, he dedicated his time to providing guidance to the communities’ youth at summer camps in the Bronx. And, after graduating Evander Childs High School and receiving his bachelors in communications from Williams Paterson University, he returned to his community in the Bronx to work as a NYC Child Protective Caseworker. During this time, because of the passion he has for the youth, he co-founded the Bronx Youth Uptown Developers Coalition where he organized, coached and counseled youngsters in instructional basketball camps. Currently in the City Council, Councilmember is the chair of the subcommittee on Libraries and was the former co-chair of the Black, Latino, & Asian Caucus. In addition, he sits on the Civil Rights, Community Development, Education, and Youth Services committees. Even before the councilmember became a farther, he understood the importance of the youths in our communities, and has worked
I am writing this letter of recommendation to express my support for Keyshia Martin in her application for the Jackie Lajeunesse Scholarship Award. Thank you to the Ontario Ringette Association for organizing this rewarding opportunity for a great supporter of ringette.
It is my pleasure to write this letter for Andrew Mangold. I have known Andrew for two years, working with him as his school counselor. You will not find a better-rounded and mature student then Andrew Mangold. The more time I am able to spend with Andrew, the more I am convinced that he is destined to do something amazing with his life and I cannot wait to see what it is going to be.
I am a third-year student at Seton Hall University and I am writing to you with great enthusiasm regarding the internship opportunity with the non-profit organization, the National Urban League. I learned about the position during my winter break, as I wanted to use my leadership and interpersonal skills in working for a well-respected organization that dealt with issues that I consider important, which is improving African-Americans lives.
