The next memorable ad in the campaign takes a different twist, because rather than promoting auto insurance, it promotes home insurance. In this scenario, a group of young men are sitting at home when a baseball suddenly breaks through the homeowner’s window. As his friends begin to freak out, the homeowner maintains the same relaxed attitude as the female from the previous example and recites the magic jingle. Seeing his friends in shock as an agent magically appears he encourages them to recite the jingle and make a request, which they follow by asking for a sandwich, a pretty girl, and a hot

Two years later, Compassion Australia started in Laurie & Olive McCowan’s Newcastle home with the sponsorship of a single child. Compassion International grew to 250,000 sponsored children by 1998, 500,000 in 2003 & eventually 1 million in 2009.

Phyllis Gonzalez aspired to serve the community of Chelsea well for decades, whether it meant working as the president of a local PTA, a member of both the Hudson Guild's Advisory Council and Community Board 4, or as a secretary for the Citywide Council for Presidents of the New York City Housing Authority. Mrs. Gonzalez personally oversaw the growth of Chelsea’s project housing from the ground up, always finding room for improvement on the behalf of the residents under her care. She accomplished all this despite suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and congestive heart problems.
A man can give money to the homeless on the same day as …... . Barbara Lazear Ascher wrote a piece called “On Compassion” stating that through people's own experiences, they learn compassion with the trouble right next to us. An argument that has merit, but only to a certain extent. Experiences of the individual will have them learn compassion on their own, but having the unfortunate in our faces will not guarantee a person to learn compassion. In fact, it may do the opposite and create hostility as all of us are imperfect.
Dictionary.com defines loyalty “characterized by or showing faithfulness to commitments, vows, allegiance, obligations, etc.” This definition provided shows that you can be loyal to an object. With that being said, you can also be loyal to a person. In the short story “The Life You Save May Be Your Own” by Flannery O’Connor, Ms. Carter is loyal to her daughter, Lucynell, in terms of making sure Lucynell had someone that would take care of her when she passes.
The American Red Cross has helped to serve those in need for over a 100 years. It was founded in 1881 by Clara Barton and her peers. The 2007 charter essentially restates the past purposes for the American Red Cross such as helping American Military members communicate

The presentation from United Way was very informing. This was my first time hearing about the concept of Alice. The presentation for me opens my eyes up to what is happen in the Orleans Parish. The fact that 40% of households in the parish are struggling is shocking. The presenter mention something as to almost 700,000 individuals are struggling, and those are just the stats of 2013. I feel like it may now have a significant increase. However, I feel like the governor of Louisiana have neglected the citizens in this state. Bobby Jindal had the chance to help many of the individuals that are struggling; however, he turned his back on them when they need him the most. For instance, the only thing that is growing is low wages jobs that are not even near most of the housing.
In this memo, I would like to clarify the causes of the failure of the training program in the hospital and propose the new way of the training that could be more useful for both senior managers and the employees.
Often times, people believe fear comes from a simple jump-scare or phobia. However, a sudden change in a situation can largely affect how the situation is viewed. In the short story "The Fall of the House of Usher," transformation creates the entire atmosphere of fear depicted. The popular Gothic poem "The Raven" develops the story through the narrator's changes throughout. In the online anthology known as the SCP Foundation, the various "SCPs" create terrifying and otherworldly effects through their extraordinary changes and behaviors. All of these demonstrate a simple concept: shifts within a story or plot, whether subtle or dramatic, often add new conflicts or levels of fear and danger to the characters' lives or the reader's experience.
