Wennie’s homemade established in January 2010. It is owned by Wennie Tan a woman who interesting in cooking. From the start, it has only 2 cooking pastes which are Curry paste and Tom Yum paste. When it just established, received lots of positive feedback from small group of customers. After few years, the business is slowly getting successful and increasing orders from customers.
In 2011, there are many brands against Wennie products after few stores are opened. The sales went down. Until 2013, the business turn better through chef recommends on the television show and indirectly helps Wennie to promote her products. As well, Wennie’s homemade is a sole proprietorship. She is fully controlled her business by herself and has no partner. There are lots of important decision making she needs to take. Sole proprietorship benefits her take fully profit means no need to share but she has to responsibility all the debt if anything goes wrong. They also own one store in Premier 101. The current products have Curry paste, Tom Yum paste, Red Chilli paste, Assam Pedas paste, Thai green curry paste and Nyonya Ponteh paste. Besides that, she ventures into drinking products and sauces. There are two types of drinks, which is Waterchesnut sugarcane and Bluepea Aloe.
