On June 21, 2017, Rizvi was observed via CCTV with a second male. While watching the second male was observed selecting and trying on merchandise all over men’s wear dept. after he had finished he gave all the merchandise to Rizvi and the male moved to the mall doors. Rizvi then moved to the cash desk and purchased all of the items with his coded HBC card. He then proceeded to the mall doors and handed the bag over to the other male. AP also have him on video with a male on this day at our Polo Park store, who has been with him in the past shopping and handing merchandise off to be purchased.
All of the above transactions have been in the last week.
Rizvi has made approx. $27,500 worth of purchases over the past year and a half.
Rizvi makes sometime 2-3 purchases a day at high dollar amounts.
Rizvi has 10 different debit cards paying onto his account sometimes several in store payments in one day.
All of the merchandise varies in size and styles. Sometimes Rizvu purchases duplicates and triplicates of same item.
In November of 2016 he was spoken to by the store manager Desiree Blackmore and his sales manager Kayla Johnson concerning this second rewards card that he was using. In this conversation he stated that he did not have the card that was linked to his bay card as an associate and inquired about the points he should be getting for Instant Credits. He was spoken to about the fact that he could not use the rewards card that was not linked.
Rizvi was also spoken to at this time about who was entitled to his discount to which he was very aware and explained back to them that it was just for him and no one else. Desiree Blackmore explained that his spouse or dependents were also allowed and he understood.

On Monday, January, 15, 2018 one of the stores stock clerks told her that he thought someone had stolen products from the aisle 5 where he works. Another employee told her that she noticed on January, 14, two black individuals dressed as females in the store between 1100 and 1300 hours acting strange. On August 7, 2015, AP closed a rewards theft at the Hudson’s Bay Point Claire store for a value of $170.00. Exception reports alerted AP that the associate had issued and redeemed the same gift card. The investigation revealed that she had found a plastic rewards card into the cash desk drawer that it was belong to the customer. The associate changed the points for $50 gift card and used the gift card for personal purchases. During the interview she admitted have gift card theft and also giving out $120 in unauthorized markdowns.
Marion was able to recover video of two fraudulent uses of a credit card that had occurred on March 22 and March 23, 2018. On March 22, 2018 at approximately 2036 hours, Brian is observed using CITI BANK Card # 5424181323068184 to make a purchase of $130.25 at a self-checkout register. A receipt of the transaction was attached to this supplement and a disk containing the video footage was placed into evidence at the Port Richey Police Department.
On April 10, 2017, AP closed an internal gift card theft case at the Bay Montreal Downtown store for a value of $30.00. AP was alerted by exception reports that an associate had issued and redeemed the same GC. Investigation revealed that reward card belonged to a customer. The DVR showed the associate changing the points to the GC with no customer present. During the interview the associate admitted to theft of a GC that it was in the customer file. The associate also admitted to taking the rewards card number that it was in another customer file and changed them into a GC and used for a personal purchase.
Predication: On 04/13/17, Asset Protection Manager(APM) Jakub Orlando received an investigative, analytical lead regarding Customer Service Associate(CSA) Andre Bronson who was suspected of using his own Balance Rewards card in customers transactions to build up point and later redeem them for persona gain.
The rewards card will feature a bar code that customers will scan for every purchase to add up points. For every dollar spent, the customer is given one point. When one reaches 100 points, they can redeem it for $3 of store credit, 250 points for $10 and 400 points for $20. Twenty dollars is the largest incentive and after the customer gets their in-store credit of $20, their balance will go back to zero. With the rewards card customers will put their information in and will be given birthday rewards. The birthday rewards will be $10 off any 10 dollar purchase in-store or online and customers will have a month prior and post birthday to use the reward. Predication: On 11/03/16, Point Of Contact (POC) Asset Protection Manager (APM) Jakub Orlando received an investigative analytical lead for Service Clerk (SVC) Joel Moctezuma-Rivera, who was suspected of using a Balance Rewards card with fictitious name, a friend's name.
