After Our first meeting with the client took place on April 28, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Women's Business Center located at 1003 E Cooley Dr #109. We scheduled Our next meeting at the same location on May 26,2017. This gave us plenty of time to conduct research need to offer an alternative to Trader Joe’s. So we looked at was Clark’s Nutrition. Clark’s Nutrition has the same make up as Trader Joe’ with a high emphasis on vitamins. The heritage of Clark's Nutrition & Natural Foods Market can be traced to the early days of ‘mom and pop’ health food stores. Jim Clark, the company's founder, purchased the first Downtown Riverside location in 1972. In those early days, the public often thought of health food stores as a source for date shakes, carrot juice and hippies.Clark’s now has four location all in the inland empire area. The first Gelson’s also set the stage for what would become Gelson’s tradition of exemplary meat and seafood. The store had an ultra-modern, self-service Meat Department, with stainless steel and enamel cases running the building’s full length. Behind these cases, in full view of the customers. Gelson’s boast of a Special Diets, Gluten Free, Raw Foods, Vegan/Vegetarian, Diabetes, Heart Health, Lactose Intolerance, Dietitian Resources, Gluten-free Ingredient.In order for vendors to get in to Gelson’s they (vendors) must use the Rangeme system (Gelson's Markets, 2017).
