The Junie B. Jones series has become extremely popular over the years. There are many people that love the stories because of how witty Junie B. is. It is also true that a large number of children can connect with her since Barbra Park created the series with Junie B. speaking in first person as the narrator. However, there are a lot of concerns with the amount of disrespect seen by Junie. Additionally, there could be an educational confusion for children who are trying to learn to read and pronounce words correctly. The Junie B. Jones series basically glorifies being bad, not listening to adults and using language that a five or six year old should not be using. The ruthless actions and improper usage of communication by Junie B. in the Junie B. Jones series can be very confusing and misleading for the young children that are expected to read these books.
What makes a survivor? A survivor consists of three things, they must be smart to succeed know what they are doing all the time and not make bad mistakes. A survivor also needs to be strong physically and mentally so they are prepared for anything that comes their way. And they need to never give up on themselves because if they do consider it done they will fail every time if they don’t have faith in themselves. In the novel, Unwind, by Neil Shusterman, Connor proves he is a survivor because he made smart decisions, he surrounded himself with people in similar positions, and he never gave up on himself.

Lexi was in a tragic boating accident that, unfortunately, resulted in the loss of her lower left leg. Countless amputees have given up on trying to become stronger and try to have a normal life again, but, however, Lexi decided she was not going to be one of them. It was extremely hard for her in the beginning because walking with prosthetics is a lot harder than walking regularly. Lexi had to work twice as hard to be able to get used to the prosthetics and try to live on with it to the best of her abilities. She kept working every day, going through physical therapy and other methods to be able to walk better with prosthetics. Although her life would never be the same again and would never be normal, Lexi made it her goal to try and get it to be as close to normal as possible. She was a very athletic girl before the accident and wants to go back to the sports she loves by training extra hard to make it to the Paralympics. Lexi also wants to become a physical therapist to help other amputees with their struggles. She looks at her leg with pride, knowing that she is living her life to the fullest and not letting the accident bring her spirit down. She will keep putting in a lot of effort, thanks to modern science that has made and improved prosthetics that will forever help her. Lexi is not going to let this get in her way of achieving her dream, which proves her grit and
Survival is living on the hope that better things are yet to come in your life. Right now in our country people survive because of hope and the belief that people are good and they will help them out. People survive when they are homeless on the streets only because of the people who are good at heart and give them food or money to buy clothing for the winter. Gerta survived because of her family and friends. Anne Frank survived because she believed that “Despite all the evil going on in the world I still believe that all people are good at heart.”
A survivor is a person who simply makes it through an event, no matter the circumstance. More specifically, a survivor is an individual who gets through alive, either without a scratch on their body, or beaten down to the bone. When Lily Owens, Equality 7-2521, and George Milton keep running away from their problems, and finally stay put, with no harm as previously experienced, they are categorized as survivors. To be a survivor is to be a remainder, who keeps living, which is what these three main characters are doing, but in different circumstances to have been grouped as survivors. Ever got stuck or even lost and had no other choice but to take the decision to survive on your own? Or ever had to survive in a harsh environment, climate, or condition? Our world, a place of either hatred or love, peace or war, happy or sad, poor or rich, Democrats or republicans it is a place of comfort or discomfort where people are afraid to go beyond boundaries because they think they will make a mistake when really all they have to do is learn.
