CCA-OTIC GEL CCA-Otic Gel is a bioadhesive, thermoreversible poloxamer gel. Various medications can be incorporated into the gel to provide therapeutic effects. At cold temperatures, it remains a liquid, however, at room temperature, it converts into a gel. When CCA-Otic Gel is administered in the liquid form, it transforms to a gel which contours and adheres to the ear canal. Consequently, the length of time the medication is in contact with the affected areas is prolonged. A 1.5ml liquid dose applied in each affected ear transforms into a bioadhesive gel layer on the surface of the ear canal in approximately 3 to 4 seconds.
