Martin Luther King Jr. was born at 15 January 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. The name “Martin Luther” was actually adopted in honor of German Protestant religious leader Martin Luther. He was both a Baptist minister and social activist in US that led Civil Rights Movement to protect the rights for black people in the whole world. He was able to bring the rights of black people such as the legal segregation of African-American citizens, Civil Right Acts in 1964, and the rights for voting the presidential in 1965. He entered public school at the age of 5 and was later baptized in May 1936. King attended Booker T. Washington High School, and entered Morehouse College in Atlanta at age 15. Some of those characteristics were: - Patience o He was a very patient man. He tried multiple times in various places and occasions to conveying his message out there. He was patient with his time, as he did not rush everything that he had planned in his mind and gave up immediately when situations did not go according to his plan. Back then, it was time-consuming and difficult for him to convey his message, but he never bailed out. - Bravery o He was confident with what he believed in. He had courage and faith to stand up in front of thousands of people, and conveyed what he had felt. And that is not something everyone is capable of doing. He was a gifted influential public speaker. o He also seek out uncharted territories of the Civil Right Movement. He “navigated the dangerous waters” of issues such as justice, diversity, peace, and poverty in addition to his main civil rights movement. - Leadership Traits o He took leadership positions when no one else wanted to stand up for what they think were
