Chick-Fil-A
It is no surprise that obesity is rapidly taking over our beautiful country by the thousands. The possibility of this number dropping is very unlikely. America is known for being the land of the free, and home to the heaviest living population. But with so many people in a rush on a regular basis, fast food plays a huge role in an average lifestyle. One out of four individuals consume fast food on a daily basis. A majority of these fast food joints carry chicken sandwiches. They have been a staple menu item for years. Without a doubt, Chick-Fil-A has the most delicious fried chicken sandwich ever produced.
On a scale 1-10 this sandwich receives a 20. Chick-Fil-A has mastered the art building the perfect chicken sandwich; it tastes the same every time. For the most part everybody enjoys eating. It keeps us alive, and brings us immediate gratification 99% of the time. People eat for pleasure; it’s the honest truth. Consistency should come to mind when rating a food item. People want the same mouthwatering goodness each time they visit a restaurant. Between the quality, temperature, and taste, this masterpiece is definitely one that will go down in history. Being able to create a favorite sandwich that a thousand other people have already attempted to perfect is truly amazing. When breaking down the common components to a perfect chicken sandwich, the quality of the meat should be at the top of the list. I want to start by mentioning Chick-Fil-A uses all-natural
Truett started experimenting with different ways to cook and serve chicken quickly and economically. He started serving a fried chicken breast fillet on a bun to keep customers from getting grease on their fingers. He then went on to perfect the “chicken sandwich” by experimenting with different cooking methods, seasonings and spices. When he finally felt it was right he had ended up using a special blend of seasonings and cooking the chicken in a pressure cooker with peanut oil, then adding a pickle to the finished sandwich. This would eventually become the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich and become a lasting part of the Chick-fil-A formula.
America is known as the fattest country in the world. Is fast food the culprit? According to the article, "F as in Fat 2005," America's obesity rate in 2005 was a whopping 60%. Many people believe that this is due to the increasing popularity in fast food. It is much easier to go through a drive through and pick up a meal than making the food yourself. When eating out, people are more likely to eat more than when they cook. Meals at fast food and restaurants have become popular, in America the size of each meal is significantly bigger than any other country. According to Christina Sarlch, author of “Guess How Many Calories Are In A Typical Fast Food Meal” the amount of calories in a fast food meal is a gouging 1100 calories with a drink .The average number of calories needed for a person is 2000-2500 calories . Split between 3 meals that averages out to 666.67-833.33 calories a meal. Of course not many people follow that suggested calorie intake.
According to the Chick-fil-A Team Member handbook, “... we strive to maintain an atmosphere of hospitality for all customers. We want to create a pleasant experience for all who visit our restaurants. We maximize the opportunity to build the business and to positively influence others by creating a welcoming environment. We are hospitable to all customers.” Employees are specially trained to provide a favorable experience when handling visitors or long-time customers. Chick-fil-A began in 1946 in Hapeville, GA, when Truett Cathy opened his first restaurant, Dwarf Grill. Credited with inventing the original boneless breast of chicken sandwich, Mr. Cathy founded Chick-fil-A, Inc. in the 1960s and pioneered the establishment of restaurants in shopping malls. The first Chick-fil-A restaurant opened in a mall in suburban Atlanta in 1967. Starting then, Chick-fil-A has steadily grown to become the second largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States, with more than 1900 locations. Many reviews on the dining experience are 3.5 to four out of five stars. Based on 91 reviews from Consumer Affairs dot com, the average rating was four out of five
Which is better, Chick-fil-a or Zaxby’s? This is a popular debate. Some people would argue that Zaxby’s is better because they have better chicken. Other people would argue that Chick-fil-a is better because they have better sauces. They both have their benefits, but which is better over all? In order to find this out we can’t go off of taste because everyone has different taste preferences. We must look at many aspects of both restaurants. Some aspects that can determine whether Chick-fil-a or Zaxby’s is better are drinks, desserts, sauces, prices, efficiency, cleanliness, and the attitudes of the workers.

Chick-fil-A is a cleanest restaurant I've ever been to. The bathrooms are clean, and the whole restaurant is clean. Their servers always say “my pleasure” or “have a nice day”.Their prices are not expensive, but not cheap. For example even get a chicken sandwich for $3.05 or 6 piece nuggets for $4.05.
Looking at Chick-fil-A consumers specifically, 72 percent of consumers who visited Chick-fil-A most often come from south part of the United States. Of Chick-fil-A consumer, 73.5 percent are white and 69 percent have received at least some level of college education. Those between the ages of 18-49 are Chick-fil-A top consumers, with 30-34 year olds being the age range with the most consumption at 11.2 percent. This is largely due to the fact that this is the age range where people become parents and have children living in their household. Besides, quick food service like Chick-fil-A accommodate the need of people from age of 30-34, who are mostly employed and have a quick pace
While Chick-fil-a and Chipotle are both good choices as far as fast food, Chick-fil-a has more food options. Chick-fil-a is a fast food restaurant that is dedicated to chicken. Instead of having burgers like McDonald's or Burger King, this restaurant has the chicken
Chicken! Chicken! Chicken! Southerners are crazy about it! Chicken is an iconic meal, from grandma 's kitchen to fast food restaurants. Sometimes grandma 's home cooked chicken is not always readily available, so what is the next best option? This is my review of two very popular fast food chains, the main item on each menu is none other than chicken. These two restaurants go by the name Chick-fil-A and Zaxby 's. Chick-fil-A has a bit of an interesting story, with the franchise being very comfortable with the Christian faith. Because of this, all locations are closed on Sundays and holidays. Information from their website shows that Chick-fil-A cares for its community and is involved in several fundraisers for churches and schools. Zaxby 's observes normal hours and does not really take part in community events. I visited the Chick-fil-A over on Harris Lane in Bessemer, Alabama at around noon. This Chick-fil-A just opened a few years back and has been very popular since. On a different occasion, I visited the Zaxby 's just a few miles down the road from Chick-fil- A, located on Academy Drive. The website describes Zaxby 's as a “chain eatery serving up fried chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, and other American comfort eats”. These two competitors offer very similar menu options, but completely different environments. Although Chick-fil-A has better customer service, Zaxby 's has tastier food and an overall better ambiance.
Chick-fil-A shows its dedication to TQM by implementing quality beyond the food. The environment Chick-fil-A provides is family friendly as shown by Chick-fil-A’s providing crayons and Cheerios for free to its customers. This allows families to feed even the youngest of children and entertain children of all ages. Children can be entertained in the playground area and by coloring at the table so parents can relax and enjoy a meal. This returns to the quality of life that Chick-fil-A wants, not for its employees this time, but for its customers. This all goes to show how “Chick-fil-A exemplified the ‘dare to be different’ principle” (Berry, 2000, p. 131).
Chick-fil-A is affected by numerous external forces which challenge upper management’s ability to make Chick-fil-A "America’s best quick-service restaurant". Through intense strategic planning, based upon the vision, mission and corporate values, Chick-fil-A has been able to establish a unique position in a very competitive industry. The corporate purpose of Chick-fil-A, "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact witch Chick-fil-A", their commitment to family and the community, and their sound business decisions, have made Chick-fil-A one of the most profitable and fastest growing quick-service restaurants
My favorite restaurant to eat at is Chick-Fil-A. I like Chick-Fli-A because the food is good, the wait is not long, and the employees are always nice. I have always enjoyed eating at Chick-Fli-A. When I was younger I would always try to get done eating fast so I could go play in the small indoor playground. There would always be a lot of kids in the play area. We would play hide-and-go-seek or whatever other game that we wanted.
That product was the pressure cooked chicken breast sandwich. Cathy always wanted to add chicken to his menu at the Dwarf Grill but knew that cooking chicken the traditional way would take too long for his customer’s needs. Cathy often thought about his mother’s way of cooking chicken and remembered she but chicken in a pan and covered the top to apply some type of pressure. He noticed that this method of cooking chicken was faster and still kept the chicken moist and tender. Cathy knew that this is what he wanted but he knew it would take a lot of trial and error and a lot of experimenting. From putting the chicken on a buttered up bun instead of putting the meat on a plate by itself to 20 different ingredients and four years of experimentations and taste testing, the customers finally said “We like it. Don’t change it again.” Cathy was finally getting
Chick-fil-A is known for their famous Chick-fil-A sandwich, but also for their private, family –controlled ownership structure, philosophy on management and biblical principles. Chick-fil-A uses the differentiation strategy to set them apart from other fast-food chains. Chick-fil-A mission was “To glorify God by being faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive attitude influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A”, and to be “America’s best quick-serve restaurant.” One of their strategies they use to set them apart was focusing on people. This strategy included interview process, golden rule, consistent
Chick-Fil-A is a fast food restaurant that I love it got wide variety of foods including breakfast in the mornings, grilled chicken, and more healthier options. The drinks always have free refills It also is very child friendly has most restaurants where they even have a play land for the kids and have kids meals. The restaurant is always clean inside and the wait for all foods are less than 15-20 minutes. The employees look very clean they always have ironed clothes and is always wearing their full uniform.
