Everyday there are people whom are given this tiny little miracle called a child, and unfortunately not all people can handle the responsibility that comes with said child. It happens so often anymore, that all over the world there are children terrified, due to child abuse. Whether it is physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological abuse or neglect it is a worldwide problem.
Child Abuse
Everyone does not see child abuse in the same light. Therefore, there had to be laws set to determine a broad spectrum to what could be considered child abuse. “Federal law defines child abuse and neglect as “any recent act or failure to act on the part of a parent or caretaker, which results in death, serious physical or emotional harm, sexual abuse …show more content…

Furthermore, what we in the United States of America believe to be wrong and abuse to a child may not be in another country. In France, the Legal drinking age is 16 but if A 16-year-old was given a beer in the United States it would be a form of Neglect. Then in some Middle East Country’s they wed and consummate their marriages with children as young as 8 years old as part of their religion. As Americans, this is wrong and disgusting, and is sexual abuse of a child. However, we don’t have to leave this country to find different beliefs on child abuse. “The definition of abuse has changed over time, and it differs among individuals and cultures. For example, people in the same society who hold different moral or religious convictions may disagree about what type of behavior toward a child amounts to abuse. Some Americans view spanking as an unacceptable act, while others see it as an appropriate form of discipline when conducted within reasonable limits.” ("Child Abuse." Opposing Viewpoints Online Collection, Gale, 2014.) Sometimes different social economic standing view Child Abuse differently. A wealthy person may view it as a form of neglect to not buy your child brand new clothes that are worn once before washing them. Subsequently, a person with a much lower economic standing may have picked up some free clothes for their child that has been handed
