Children Must Be Taught : An Open Mind Helps Students Develop A Mind Of Their Own

Margaret Mead was a cultural anthropologist stated, “ Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.” Students are taught how to be obedient to education, instead of being taught knowledge and how to express and use it. Students are taught how to be into memorizing instead of learning how to use critical thinking. A teacher’s role in students’ education is to help them be engaged within the classroom, inspire them, and guide them. These three essential things helps students develop a mind of their own.

A great teacher makes learning fun by offering engaging lessons to a student to help them achieve good academic performance. A common role a teacher plays in the classroom is to help a student have an open mind and to also help in developing knowledge. Having an open mind helps students develop their brain and thoughts and use those thoughts and turn them into knowledge. Teachers help students acknowledge a sense of ownership in the classroom, which helps students build their confidence and helps them succeed in their academic achievement. Students with confidence help them be more verbal and helps them communicate with other students, which allows them to learn from each other.
