The first major difference is that Christians believe in trinity and Muslims don’t. Trinity in Christianity is the belief that god is three forms, Father, Son, and holy ghost/spirit. In Islam trinity is rejected, Muslims believe that there is one form of god. Jesus is neither god nor the son of god in islam he is considered a prophet. Its is believed in islam that every human born is considered the son or daughter of god because humans were created by god. Another major difference is that “the Quran says Jesus did not die on the cross, but God made it appear that way to people” (discoveringislam.org) , it also says that Jesus was arisen to heaven. Many christians today believe that Jesus was crucified and has died on the cross but two days later was brought back to life. The third major difference is that christians believe in the concept of “original sin,” original sin is pretty much the theory that everyone is born a sinner. This carries on from the “original sin” of Adam and Eve. Muslims don't believe this concept of original sin because in the Quran it says that God has forgiven Adam for what he has done. Also according to the Quran no person should bear the burden of someone else's mistake because it isn't fair to that person. Those are the three major differences between these two
Christianity is focused on forgiveness and mercy, paired with apocalyptic visions, Hell, and the wrath of God. But Islam is centered on justice and the destruction of unbelievers. Allah is merciful -- but not to those who don’t share his practice. The early history of Christianity is one of persecution and martyrdom; Jesus himself submitting to crucifixion. In contrast, Islam was not born in submission, but in warfare against the enemies of Allah.

Both Muslims and Christians are monotheists, believing in one God. While both believe in the same God, He is called by two completely different names.
