Tobias Wolff was born on June 19th, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama. He is the second son of Arthur Samuels Wolff and Rosemary Loftus Wolff. At age five, Tobias faced a family breakup where he and his mother separated from his father and older brother, Geoffrey, due to the instability his father kept in his family life. Wolff and his mother constantly moved. They lived first in Florida, then moved to Utah in 1955, and finally settled in the Pacific Northwest, where his mother remarried a troublesome man, Dwight Hansen. They lived in Newhalem, Washington with Hansen and his three children. Wolff attended Concrete High School until he left for Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where he faked his references to be accepted. He attended Hill School for a year but did not graduate and instead ended up joining the military for four years. Wolff’s family also did not reunite until 1961 when he saw his older brother and father after eleven years. From 1964 to 1968, Wolff served in the U.S. Army Special Forces, where he was assigned his post in Vietnam.

The Children of God also known as The Family began in the late 1960's, specifically 1968, in Huntington Beach, California . This “mission” was started by an unemployed evangelist named David Berg and his family. David Berg was a man who was very manipulative and convincing, and used these skills to convince members to join his cult. The main goal of his mission was to teach people to model their lifestyles after the first century Church, which consisted of living a simple lifestyle and devoting most of their time and resources to spread the Gospel. He based these goals off off the fact that he hated materialistic things and the de-Christianization of the modern society. David Berg used an authoritarian type of leadership over his members. He
Nathan Ybanez was mental, physically, and sexually abused by his parents his whole life. The Ybanez family was always moving consequently there was a very unstable homelife. Nathan got into an argument with his mother and ended up murdering her. I will be charging Nathan as a youth, the reason I’m charging Nathan as a youth is the fact that he didn’t plan to kill his mother and the fact that he was abused by both of his parents. The sentence I have given to Nathan is Custody and Supervision for 4 years, then probation for 3 years. Nathan will be in Custody and Supervision because even if he didn’t plan to kill someone his mother is now dead because of him. Nathan will have 3 years of probation in order to reintegrate him back into
The second part of the first question asked if the reader believed that Harless was a criminal or a victim of domestic violence who was suffering from PSTD (Rasor, 2017). Nearly all students argued that he was both a criminal and a victim. To better explain, there is very little doubt that Jason Harless was a victim of domestic violence and as a result could suffer from PSTD; however, it is extremely rear for the PSTD to manifest into anger or rage to the point where the victim physically harm other (U.S Department of Veterans Affairs, 2017). That being said, at the end of the day Jason Harless did bring the gun into the school, he did shoot three people, and one did sadly die. Therefore Mr. Harless is a criminal.
While men like Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson are probably most popularly known to be the greatest of the founding fathers, they were a few great men among many. Of course each played a special role in the construction of the Declaration of Independence and the development of the United States, the most important however and perhaps most frequently forgotten is Pennsylvania delegate, Robert Morris. He was born in Liverpool, Great Britain, on January 20, 1784; however, he later immigrated to America when he was 13 years old. As soon as he arrived in America his father, a tobacco based businessman, started little Robert on the path to a valuable education. Robert’s education is what kick-started him on a path of success, this success was not only his but also of America.

Robert Lehmkuhl's life changed forever the day he walked up to the house at 4600 Norwich Road with the white cross in front of it and knocked on the door. "As an out-of-state student at the University of Maryland, there was no housing for me in the fall of 1970, so I had to find my own way," he said.
Where we are from, our own personal history contributes to who we are. Each of our own stories are unique and make up a part of ourselves. We all have a knowledge of our own, customs, traditions, a family, and a history.
Walter Ciszek was born in 1904 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania as the son of an immigrant coal miner. When Walter was young, he was considered a bully and trouble maker, often starting fights just for the “devilment”. Once, his own father went to the police station and asked the police to take his son the reform school. Walter would do extreme feats in order to prove that he could do anything that someone else could do, like giving up nearly all food during lent, giving up meat for an entire year, swimming in a nearly frozen lake, and running five miles each morning at four thirty. Imagine, just for a moment, that you are young Asher Lev, son of Rivkeh and Aryeh Lev, two highly respected members in the Jewish community. Pretend you were born with an extraordinary talent, one which you deem an incredible and intriguing gift, and think of how you would feel if your talent were ridiculed by those who you love and respect the most, because your gift is "foolishness from the other side". Would you throw away every trace of your talent and be the studious child that everyone wants you to be and focus on school and your religious responsibilities? Or would you continue to let your gift shine? For young Asher Lev, this decision was incredibly difficult.
