The Resurrection
The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the greatest proof of Christianity. Everything else that was said or done by Christ and the apostles is secondary in importance to the resurrection. If the resurrection did not take place, then Christianity is a false religion built on lies. If it did take place, then Christ is God and the Christian faith is absolute truth. Without the resurrection, it is quite certain there would have been no Christian church. Did Christ actually rise from the dead, or has the Christian faith been led astray by some kind of hoax? Famous theologian C.S. Lewis notes, that "in the earliest days of

(Hosea 6.2) “After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live before Him.” And if Christ be not raised, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins." (1 Corinthians 15:14, 17) King David had revelation of the resurrection and spoke of it saying, “because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one (Jesus) see decay.” (Psalm 16:10).
There are many people that do not believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which has led to the development of other theories. One theory of Jewish unbelievers was that Jesus never really arose (theft theory). Allegedly, the disciples stole His body, and then spread the lie of the Lord's resurrection. Another theory developed by German scholar Paulus, is that Jesus did not really die, but had only passed out (the swoon theory). Then when He was placed in the cool tomb he revived and showed Himself to His disciples. Lastly, we have the brother theory, which says that Jesus had a twin brother who died on the cross instead and Jesus did appear to His disciples.
When I gave my life to Christ, things started to change instantly, and I was given a new heart to love others above myself. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord and that He was raised from the dead.
The resurrection of Jesus himself is a concept that is hard to believe. How can a man come back to life, and why is this the first time this has happened? Jesus was not written about till after his death. The gospels were told by Jesus’ apostles and their recollection of Jesus and his teachings. The Council of Nicaea were Christian theologians who decided which stories about Jesus to include in the Bible. The Council of Nicaea left out the Gnostic gospels “hidden knowledge” which talked about Jesus’s early childhood. Why should we believe the council when they left out the parts of Jesus’ life they did not agree with.“Even those whose hearts were inclined to accept the new faith required some intellectual satisfaction before they were willing to commit: How can God be three separate beings- God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit- and one indivisible being at the same time? If Jesus is “coeternal” with God, why is there no mention of him in the two thousand-year tradition of Hebrew writings? If Jesus is the divine Son of God, how could he experience such human emotions as temptation, fear, and loneliness?” 1 (pg. 229)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a miracle, special effects or a magic show. It's a message, a sign, it has a deeper meaning. When I think of the resurrection, the word hope comes to mind. If I had a penny for every time I thought I was going to give up I would have a lot of pennies. But in my doubts, I thought about Jesus rising from the grave and what he went through, how he had faith in his father, and hope in his heart that he would be able to get through the pain he was suffering from us, why can't I keep pushing through. Now I'm not saying I'm Jesus, I couldn't go through all that pain for a lot of these people and still have love for all of them afterwards, that's why he's one of a kind. The resurrection gives me hope in society,
Many people ridicule Christians for believing in a man who resurrected from the dead. They laugh at Christians and criticize them for basing their faith on an event that lack proof and evidence. However, the evidence that skeptics use to challenge the Christian faith, in actuality, support the claims that Jesus truly was the God that he claimed to be. The evidence that affirms Jesus’ claims to be true include his lifestyle and teachings, the prophecies that he fulfilled, historical facts, and the dramatic transformation of the lives of his disciples. Many may ask Christians how they can believe in a Savior without proof of his divinity; but, in reality, God has given us an abundance of signs. He is still providing us with compelling evidence
Some scholars argue that evidence of Jesus of Nazareth 's existence can only be found within the writings of the New Testament. They believe that the New Testament is a biased and unreliable source for the existence of Jesus. They therefore claim that Jesus did not exist. The historical existence of Jesus is necessary to demonstrate the truth of Christianity. While Christian scholars do not discount the reliability of the New Testament as a historical document, they are also able to point to other historical documents and consider non-Christian writings which support the existence of Jesus. In this paper I will argue that Jesus the Nazarene was an actual, historical person and that this can be demonstrated through extra-Biblical resources.

He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God”(The Holy Bible). The history and the facts of Christ are very important to the Christian faith. If Christ had never been resurrected from the dead, then the whole Christian religion would be false (“History of Christianity”). 1 Corinthians 15:14 explains, “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain”(The Holy Bible). The resurrection of Christ is extremely important to Christians, because the resurrection proves what they believe, giving purpose to their lives. “About 32 percent of people in the world, or 2.1 billion individuals, describe themselves as Christians. Some Christians believe that only those who are 'born again ' can claim to be Christians, which is why the number tends to fluctuate”(King).
We read about this in (Ephesians 1:19-21 NLT, as well as in Romans 6:4: “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life).” In the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we see the clear demonstration of the power of the true God. (Ephesians 1:19-21) tells us that it is the power of our heavenly Father that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Our salvation depends on our faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In (Romans 10:9, we are told how to be saved. It says that “if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be
There is a lot of evidence which point to the truth of Christianity. If the resurrection of Jesus truly occurred, then Jesus is God the son. If the resurrection did not occur, then he is not God the son.
“Who do people say that I am?” (Mark 8:27) is one of the most fundamental questions that Jesus asked his disciples. It is a question, from my personal viewpoint, that has a simple answer. Jesus is Lord! Needless to say, there is more to the identity of Jesus, but it is my belief that Jesus is the Messiah, the second person of the Holy Trinity. He is the promised Savior foretold in the Old Testament by the prophets. There is an endless list that gives Jesus titles such as Ruler and King, Master and Teacher, Savior and Christ, but in Acts 2:36 Luke writes, “God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified.” Jesus is the one who went to the Cross to bring humankind forgiveness, redemption, and salvation.
Jesus, the son of god, died on the cross and three days later he rose
The religion Christianity is grounded through the wisdom and miracles of Jesus Christ. Many may call him Jesus or Christ but in actuality Jesus is Christ which means anointed one. Jesus Christ was no average person, he is the God the Father who came to this world and fulfilled the Old Testament laws and prophecies, died on the cross, and rose from the dead physically. As savior that came on earth to restore his people he performed many miracles which were recorded in the Gospels by the eyewitnesses. Jesus Christ is the divine in nature as well as human. Thus, he has two natures and is worthy of worship and prayer. Christianity teaches that there is only one God in all existence. Although philosophies have tried to prove otherwise the reality is that God made the universe, the Earth, and created man starting with Adam and Eve. According to Genesis 1:27 it states that “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them”. Image means the likeness of God 's character, rationality, etc. Since we are made in the image of God, every person has an opportunity to be more like him less like sinful ways of the world.
Another picture that was accurately depicted accurately according to history, was the picture of Jesus’ resurrection that was portrayed in the film. However, several historians have found ways around, the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection. They state that he was not actually dead when he was placed in the tomb, because there is no reasonable explanation that would show that he was raised from the dead. Other historians have said, that the man that was crucified could not have been the same person that was on earth. If this were the case, then the movie would not depict the resurrection correctly, because the movie is based on the Christian story of Jesus’ resurrection. In the film, after Jesus took his last breath on the cross, the Romans took him off of the cross, and placed him in the tomb. They closed the tomb with large stones, and then two guards were required to stay in front of
The resurrection of Jesus Christ separates Christianity from all other religions. Christianity without the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is merely one religion among many. "And if Christ is not risen," said the Apostle Paul, "then our preaching is empty and your faith is in vain”. (1 Corinthians 15:14) Furthermore, "You are still in your sins!” Paul could not have chosen stronger language. (Mohler)
it being that after Jesus died he rose from the dead, proving that the soul is not destroyed after death. ?this proof of immortality has been accepted by millions of Christians and has been regarded as one of the most precious assurances brought to mankind by Jesus?
