When I began playing softball at age five, I had no idea how impactful this decision would be in my life. Furthermore, when I began coaching ten years later, I did not yet understand how much of a positive influence coaching could convey. Coaching softball aided me to overcome depression. Teaching gave me a sense of purpose, and the girls I coach inspire me to be the best that I can be. Being a role model fuels my determined to teach them important life skills such as communication, respect, and socialization. Every so often, I am gratified by an experience. This past fall, I put together a ragtag group of girls to play in a fall league and, to put it gently, we weren’t very good. During one particularly tough game, a fellow coach shared …show more content…
These young ladies gain confidence, and I strongly believe that a girl with confidence and strong life skills can accomplish anything she puts her mind to. I am proud to be a part of helping to mold future leaders. Furthermore, I am determined to set a good example for my girls by being a leader myself, as I hope to inspire them just as they inspire me. Next year, I plan to major in Computer Engineering and begin a career helping make the world a better place through innovative technology. I realized my talents for math and sciences during freshman year of high school, and remember the exact moment I knew engineering was meant for me. While exploring the engineering shop at my vocational technical high school, the teacher showed my class a video of MIT students designing prosthetic limbs for amputees. It was then that I realized I could use my love of math and science to really help people. As I progressed through my technical area, I discovered more about my skill set and interests. For instance, the organization of computer coding and the thrill of seeing those codes have an effect in the physical world through robotics was exhilarating. Through Computer Engineering, I believe I can take part in projects that will help to improve the lives of many people. Furthermore, by achieving my goals, I can show the girls that they can accomplish their goals
Coaches teach athletes skills and sportsmanship and I would want to teach that to my athletes in baseball. Most coaches evaluate their opponents to determine gone strategies. Also ,its important to monitor each and every athletes progress ,and help them to get better when I became baseball coach I would want my team to feel like they are good and we will work on getting better. When considering a career in coaching ,one should explore the general responsibilities , the vacation and the training requirements.
Softball has taught me life lessons such as: synergy, commitment, leadership, and goal setting. Although those are just a few, I strongly believe these have guided me in variety of aspects of my life; my performance in the classroom, demeanor throughout conflict, and perspective on peculiar circumstances are pragmatic cases in which I have executed these lessons intuitively. In addition, softball introduced me to my passion for sports, which has had an extensive impact on me when it comes to considering future occupations. I am assured that my sentiment for this field will contribute to my overall success.
Engineering is the life-line of this fast developing world, and I have always dreamt to be a part of it. Over the years, this dream has developed into a passion. Fuelled by the rapid strides made in this field, I sincerely hope to contribute significantly to the efforts that are under way to meet the ever-increasing demands of mankind.
The long series of events started when I was seven years old and my parents signed me up for Bobby Sox softball. I soon grew to love the sport and came back to the organization every year until I turned ten. I stopped playing for the league and tried out for a local travel ball team and made it. I soon had a career out of playing travel ball, it was my whole life. I had been on many teams and created many memories. As I got older, I didn’t enjoy playing softball as much as I did before. I was scared to tell this my dad this because he had high hopes that I would play in college. When I told my dad that I wanted to quit softball, I learned that I need to do what makes me happy even if it disappoints people.
At 10 years old I was told I wasn’t good enough to be a softball infielder, and that the outfield is where I was meant to be. I refused to accept this, although I was smallest on the team, the weakest, and probably the least likely to have any chance playing the infield, I would not be told what I could or could not be. So I worked hard.
I love playing softball and it is the best sport ever if you ask me. Some other athletes prefer baseball, basketball, volleyball, track, wrestling, or even golf. Some people might even prefer to watch those sports then to play them.
A struggle or a success for the softball teams? The middle school softball season is now over but their season was a big hit. The coaches and players are exceptionally proud of themselves and their teammates for how well they did together.
High school softball is a sport enjoyed by young girls all across the country. It is a game that can be competitive and fun. Being on a softball team can also teach responsibility. To be an Amory Lady Panther softball player is one of the most unbeatable feelings in the world, which can be achieved by trying out and making the team, working extremely hard at practice every day, and being the absolute best at an individual player playing a role as a Lady Panther.
Girls varsity softball has began a new season. Led by coach of six years, Mike Quiroz, the tartans are coming off a win, beating San Dimas 17-2.
Imagine coming across a goal that you’ve been wanting to accomplish for a very long time.
Do you love watching sports, but hate the fact that you have to watch it on your TV? Well you can change that! Go support out girls softball team, you won’t be led down.
So when asked to help coach a youth girls’ softball team, I jumped at the opportunity. I was eager to share my passion and knowledge of the game with little girls. I thought about all the things I would teach them and what kind of coach I wanted to be. What I didn’t expect is that I would learn as much from those girls as they would from me.
I have played softball nearly all of my life. I play softball for Mississippi Valley State University. There is a lot of history behind the sport. It dates back to the late 1880s. Although in all the years I have played softball, I have never really thought about the science that actually came with the sport. Particularly, the physics of softball. There are many variables of the sport softball. Such as: catching, throwing, various types of batting, and sliding. These few of the basics of softball. However, as we all know, no sport is ever easy. It has to be mastered through countless hours of practice, motivation, and determination.
Every softball player wants to become good in their chosen sport. That is always their aim. They want to be the best player so that they can be recognized not only by their coach, their teammates, their opponents, but also by their audiences.
By working with girls with varying levels of athleticism and knowledge, I was taught how to be a team player who builds off everyone’s skills. I also learned how to continue fighting even when you are losing the battle. I learned many lessons from games. I think the most important lesson I learned is you should never give up. Never giving up is important in sports as you can always come back and win. In light of all my reasons I chose to play a full-time summer sport, travel softball, instead of going on family vacations.
