A New Reality Have you ever wanted something so badly, but never knew how to start or even get there? Ha-ha...who am I kidding, we all have. Well that how my story all starts.
For as long as I can remember all I knew is that I wanted to make an impact on people or even the world. But as we all know when you have a big dream it may be hard to get there.
So as I got older I started to explore different interest. And of course, being me my interest fell between what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. You could say my life or my thoughts basically revolved around my future. I could never decide where my main interest lye's. I explored many different interest from fashion design to a police detective and everything in between. Until one day I just really thought

You’re a big help...I just want to help change peoples lives. To be the voice for those who maybe mute."
Voice in my head- "And..who is stopping you?!"
Me- "Your right no one is. But all I need to do is figure out what I can do to help me with what I want to do."
Voice in my head- "Round of applause to myself...I think yes!"
Since my personal conversation with myself, an idea popped into my head. It took me back to when I was little and how I always wanted to take my imagination and make it into reality. From there I figured out what I am most passionate about. My passion fell into the line of film and acting. I figured with this I will be able to have a voice, people with hear and listen to me, and where I can really express myself.
Although I haven't figured out exactly how I am going to get there yet, I at least know that I will get there one day. I even have a couple of ideas to help me out. One is to start my own YouTube channel. But besides that I know when I reach my dream, I will be helping others along with it. So hopefully one day you may hear my name around someday and maybe say something like this, "She is someone I really look up to and would hope to be like
Throughout life people dream of doing something that is amazing, and my goal is to do just that. Ever since I was a kid, I knew that I wanted to assist others and make an impact on people's lives in a positive way. Knowing this, I have always wanted to be a pediatric nurse to better the lives of children in need.
Everyone has to make choices in their life. Some are everyday choices, like what to eat or drink. Others are more critical, like choosing a job. Important decisions take time to comprehend. Like with me, the decision to go to college was the most critical choice in my life and for my future, and I will never regret it. Going to college is important because it helps me find a job, it expands my knowledge, and it is a wonderful experience.
In December 2014, The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education published “Rethinking the Admission Process.” This article was written by Frank DiMaria, who takes a look at the research of the former president of the University of Wyoming, Robert Sternberg. DiMaria explains Sternberg’s stance against the current admissions process. Sternberg has research that depicts, “GPA, standardized tests, and essays do not successfully measure the true talent of a college applicant.” He believes that the policies need to change. Sternberg offers an alternative to the current process. Sternberg has been a part of a new admissions policy testing students not just on their memorization and analytical skills, but on their creative, practical, and wisdom-based skills as well. Sternberg’s ideas stem from his experience with disadvantaged youth and their ability to adapt and overcome obstacles. Sternberg claims that students who grow up in the upper middle class tend to have an environment which better values the analytical skills that the current tests measure. He argues that, because of this, colleges may not be getting the most creative and adaptable students. He shows that some of these less privileged students are capable of handling a college workload even though they may not have been able to score as high on the SAT or other tests. DiMaria believes that through Sternberg’s Kaleidoscope policy may be a solution. The Kaleidoscope way of admissions administers tests which ask open ended
As an Early College High School student, we were told that from day one as a freshman we had to know what we wanted to study and do for the rest of our lives. Middle school didn’t exactly prepare us for that type of environment, let alone have us decide what our future career would be. At fifteen I was still figuring out myself, and I’m glad I took the time to do that first. I might not have known then, but after all the training and experience the last three years of my life has given me I definitely know now. It takes more than just a thought to create a passion, it takes experience and knowing oneself. I found my passion, it was a burning desire to study in the field of nursing.
My goals are to give back into the community. I’m going to strive to make it better. I will focus on good health. I will finish my Degree and find a volunteer place or part- time position in my field. I want what I share to be an echo in their ears, “I can do anything as long as I try” help others to become an over comer, and an inspiration to as many that listen to my story.
Everyone is awesome in their own way, and some fail to achieve their potential because of the family they were born into. My goal will not only help others, but help me in meeting new people. The fact that there are seven billion people on earth, and that every single one of them is different is mind-blowing. To go to a third world country and see how they live, and how different life is there would be such a humbling experience. By giving of myself to help them learn, explore, and succeed will be how I would do my part to change the
Everybody does not know at an early age, what they would like to be in life. Some of us need time to discover our gift, passion or destiny. I’m one of them. After two careers and struggling the idea of want to do my remaining time on earth, the decision was made to start a third career, that had substance and geared toward building a better place to rear my children.
I want to change the world, I will do this by helping people get the rights that they deserve. They should be able to stand out in a good way. Everyone has a passion if it is playing an instrument to becoming a director or a lawyer. Everyone has a goal that they can strive to achieve, because they were brought into this world to make it a better place.
I dream of becoming a person who is able to utilize the skills and knowledge acquired through will and determination to be successful in society. I believe that everything I went through in my life gives me enough experience to become a changemaker and enhance the community around, by showing through my actions that knowledge and love are the real weapons that nations need to build to promote peace, growth, and prosperity. however, I am fully aware of the fact that power needed to influence change, therefore, I dream of having enough power of knowledge to deliver my message to the whole world.
As a child, I said I was going to pursue many different careers because I had no guidance in this area and a head full of imagination. As I got older, I had to narrow my options. In high school, my 10th grade teacher asked me the burning question….”What career do you plan on taking up?”. I couldn’t answer the question and from that point on, I started learning about myself, what I like, and what I was skilled in. I came to the conclusion that I would pursue a career in the technology/computer science field.
The quote from world famous Psychologist at Stanford University truly inspires me. Right from my childhood, I couldn't accept things as they are. I never compromised on my choices. I was interested in doing something creative. The world of technology and the innovations that take place in it from time to time caught my attention. I had an eye for detail. My interest in photography enhanced my creativity. I engage myself in composition of music using different music synthesizing software as a hobby. I am also a nature lover.
The older I become, the more I learn about myself and the kind of person I aspire to be. I plan to be a person who can help others no matter what. Over the years, I started to work towards the common goal of getting better at everything I do. No matter how big or small the goal is I am proud of myself for attempting to achieve it. In order to achieve a great life, I need to push myself and work for what I want. The older I become the more I experience in my life and decide what I want to pursue as a career. After witnessing certain events in my life, I continue to push myself to work towards my goal of helping others and working hard for my goals.
However, one thing I know for sure, is that I have learnt to face my fears at an early age. It is my dream to grow and aim for the star, to be holistically tall and morally strong. I dream to live long enough to render service to the community. Just as the Oak tree can produce as many as 10 million acorns over its life span, I long to impact as many as 10 million lives, to make a lasting difference, to give a hope for the welfare of the generations to come. I dream to be a shelter for the homeless, a channel through which the hungry can feed. I also dream to touch the fly through the skies and safely transport millions of passengers throughout my lifetime. Look out, oak seedling coming through, he yearns to be the greatest tree yet, he wants to be an Oak
The big question, “What do I want to do with my life?” floats through my mind more and more often as graduation approaches. I have many goals and ambitions I wish to achieve after high school, but deciding something as important as what career I should pursue has brought me much uneasiness. These past few months I have struggled to figure out what I am truly passionate about; however, as I mature I begin to find so much fulfillment in helping others, both mentally and physically.
Often as children we are asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” As children we usually respond with something that seems outrageous to the adult, such as becoming the President of the United States. Though this seems outrageous to the adult they often let our mind continue to think we can achieve anything we put our mind to. For some of us, we end up losing those used to be goals due to many saying they are unrealistic, but for others they persue their goal and live the life they have always dreamed about. I plan to be one of the people who live their dream life.
