Christie follows a similar lead in her 1926 novel, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, where a detective named Poirot is involved with mysterious circumstances behind a widow’s death and the gruesome murder of a wealthy man. C. Auguste Dupin and Hercule Poirot, the main characters from each author’s stories, possess traits commonly found in detective stories;

Agatha Christie is still considered one of the best, if not, the best murder mystery writer today because she wrote the first murder mystery novel and she wrote many more after that that was well loved by people.

He moved into a foster home, but stories tell that his foster father did not like him so he struggled to find the support he needed both as a child and as a broke college student. Although many myths state that Poe was a drunkard and incapable of love, he was married. His outsiderness in his foster home likely influenced his writing, as well as his irregularity and uniqueness, and his horrid memories of how TB had taken some of his closes family. Poe’s unique literary techniques enhance his macabre writing style.
