The French and American Revolution had similar goals, and were caused by the lack of the same things. First came the American Revolution: the movement that formed the United States. On July 4, 1776. An unprecedented event occurred that will change the world forever. A colony successfully won its own war against their mother nation, and became a newly formed independent country. Next in the crisis stage Iturbide becomes emperor of Mexico and is quickly deposed. Mexico becomes a republic. Santa Anna becomes president of Mexico in 1833 and again 10 other times. Santa Anna was also a self-proclaimed dictator at different times. Constitution was approved by congress in 1917. And finally in the convalescent stage there was a loss of protection from Spain. Over half a million Mexicans died in the revolution. And eventually there was Texas revolution, the Mexican-American war, and a civil war arguing over what kind of government should be

The United States and Venezuela were both once colonies controlled by European Nations. In 1765, The American Revolution took place by the rebellious united 13 colonies against British power. In 1810, The Venezuelan Revolution began with many reasons to go against Spain. Both revolutions had similar reasons such as to become an independent Nation and secure liberal rights. While ideas and perspectives may have differed in 17-1800s, it was about finding peace and prosperity as it did not exist in the colonies. While whites always had the upper hand, during the revolution specific groups of people took over with rebellions and resistances. On the other hand, there were specific reasons to why people resisted and revolted against the leaders in charge. Even though, The American and Venezuelan revolution took place in different time period, there were similar reason for resistance/rebellions in colonies to become an Independent Nation and carry out equality and Freedom.

Poor economic conditions affected most strongly regular people who simply wanted justice and equality. As a result, both revolutions were sparked by the people’s desire to replace their autocracy governments. Although both revolutions had a lot in common, they had differences as well. The French revolution was deeply rooted in the ideals of Enlightenment and involved the overthrow of the monarchy. Russian revolution, on the other hand, had communist values and occurred due to collapse of government from the top.

The French Revolution began less than two decades after the American Revolution. In many ways, the American experience was an inspiration for the citizens of France. But the people of the two countries had different situations and had different concerns, which influenced the way each revolution began, progressed, and ended. Diaz said that he would only be president for one year and then would resign, but after four years he was re-elected as the President of Mexico. Porfirio Diaz and the Mexican revolution had a huge impact on the country of Mexico that is still felt in some places today.

Overall both of the revolution overcame strong political forces within the nation I which in the end none seemed to accomplish much. The Russian still strived to improve prosperity and their social aspects as well as the Chinese who sought to improve economically freedom.
