Every community colleges and universities have a library. There are also some libraries in some areas which are funded by government and privet findings. While we see that library is place or building, most people see the internet as something less physically usable for written work. Basically internet is a worldwide network of computers that has a huge space of data and information. An enormous variety of information, text and media are available on internet for research. For an academic writing quality resource is very important. But on the other hand library has professionals to check their resources which are very realistic, reviewed and edited. By this a person can get fresh ideas for his writing which is really helpful. Library has a more accurate source of information than the internet. For a well balanced education library is really important. Library is more than information. Its a culture. A public library contains community activities centre, community information centre, independant learning centre, and research centre. These help a student to develop his ideas and education. Research centre of library contains books or articles related to the research.
Librarians have to work hard to maintain the system so that information can be found again. They have to be experts in information retrieval and navigate the organization system. On the other side there is no organization on the internet. There are many search tools which helps to find any data in a second. So both library and internet are important for an academic written

After reading the article “Literacy Debate: Online, R U really reading?” by Motoko Rich, I believe that the internet is very beneficial in many ways but I also believe reading books is important at certain times. As being a teenager the internet has become a far better source when it comes to research. The internet is very quick on answers unlike books where you have to flip through pages for an answer to a simple question. Now why would someone choose to do more when they can do less with a simple click of a button? The internet is very useful; without the internet we wouldn’t have been able to have the opportunity to have this discussion here. On the contrary, the internet might be much faster with information but it is not always reliable.
Because libraries hold information that is easily accessible, libraries should continue making efforts to modernize and stay open since there are local ones everyone can get to. Libraries have been an important part of education since Benjamin Franklin founded the first one in 1731, since they have been able to stay modern all of this time they should continue to modernize and make efforts to be relevant. There is no bad area of a library they are meant to be for the citizens benefit and keep people entertained and informed.
When I go to the library, a few people still read book, look up definition in dictionary, and research on encyclopedia, but the other three-fourths are on the library computer looking on his or her social media, email, or answer. It indicates that people like the easy way better than long way because it takes about two seconds for a page to load, but it takes fifteen minutes to find Martin Luther King Jr. I would rather stay in the library to research than being on my laptop. It surprising to hear me say that because I am a teen, and you would expect me to stay in my room, watching a new show on Netflix, and afterward, I would stay on the laptop for hours before starting my homework. By going to the wonderful educated library for research, I find it comfort as well as relaxing because for the most part, it is calm and stressed free. In this year along, new technologies have begun like hoverboard, self-tie shoes, smartwatch, etc.
Libraries virtually depend on the internet anymore for any number of things, book orders, late fees, accounts, newsletters. Schools are even more intertwined with this fabulous technology, there’s a computer in every classroom. Students are now free to access a virtual infinity of data whenever they need a report on John Adams, or can use the library computers to requisition a book on the Panama Canal. Even teachers use the internet for research, pulling crucial info from reliable research websites and online news centers. As a research companion, the internet is essential, a powerful, never ending library of useful information and resource.
Moreover, libraries are immensely used by those who have no access to the internet or aren't able to use technology as efficiently. For instance, there are people out there that need the libraries to access the internet such as Hispanics and the unemployed. According to Source C, Crandall says, “..having a community resource that is able to help people understand how to use digital technology and information..” With this assistance, their life is improved to accumulate in the lifestyle societies are already used to. Also, libraries are able to adapt to the changes of societies by using Microsoft Excel and Ebook, that people can actually interact with. (Source B) Libraries provide a storage for information in all forms as new technologies are produced. People are encouraged to access to information as effortlessly as others. This may give people the opportunity to find jobs, explore medical research, and experience new ideas. Not only libraries are relevant for helping those that need guidance but libraries also play a part in helping the young. For instance, the percentage of people who receive help from a librarian is gradually increasing. Younger groups of 43 percent are getting homework help. Some people may think librarians only know about the storage of books. This is actually not true. For example, not all young students can access to computers at home, therefore may need help with assignments and projects. Librarians are there to guide these students to do better and be successful in school. Librarians play a significant role in helping the young, therefore, accomplishing a better for future for the
The internet is backbone network that allows people and organizations to connect together. While there is many things that can be done on the internet, the internet is just a medium for communication. It is neither good or bad. However, it can be used for positive or negative. The internet just transfers whatever information that is sent.
I can clearly see how the libraries are circulated everywhere in the American cities and campuses. I have visited some local libraries here in the U.S., and I was amazed by the number of people who visit them regularly. It is something you cannot see in the culture that I came from (The modern Persian Gulf culture) where there’re not too many libraries available; and if there are any, they are abandoned-nobody visit them. In addition, Most of American libraries now support E-books and have an electronic system for borrowing them as well. Students, on the other hand, are used to using the internet and its resources in their courses. The time when students carry with tens of kilograms of books is gone. So, it is more convenient for them to read using E-books which becomes part of their culture as people who love portability and
Writing research papers is a crucial requirement for any course in all universities and colleges. While doing their academic research papers, most students depend on the Ashford University Library for their sources. Through the Ashford University Library, students can search through different avenues and find the resources needed for their research papers and theses. Ashford University Library is the best place any student can ever find suitable peer-reviewed and scholarly sources to be used in academic
There are an almost 120,000 libraries in America. Libraries are the foundation of the knowledge ecosystem within the U.S. There are different resources available, from books to DVDs, which patrons can easily borrow. In fact, the available nonfiction printed materials will also include hard to find academic and research publications.
The public would benefit by having immediate access to numerous texts in almost every subject; libraries would no longer be limited to what can be stored on shelves. Researchers would be able to access information instantly, enabling them to work faster, smarter and more efficiently towards their goal. Arguably the most beneficial part of a digital library would be instant translation. Texts of all genres
Resources are very essential to me! Being able to have them is so great because not only will it help us pass the course, but it will help enhance our writing skills and learn new tricks. For example, grammar monster is a website we can go to and get help with our grammar. Mountain View provides a writing tutoring center called, “The Ink
This benefits the student from having to leave their home or work to obtain information they are seeking. The library and its resources are just more credible than what you would find online these days. On the other hand, there are great credible web sources out there but you have to know ow to disguise the non-credible and credible. In my opinion, it just seems lazy that someone would get all their information from a computer and not take the chance to see what the library has to offer, I grantee you will find better information at the library, because libraries offer
