Peeta and Katniss had dinner at Mayor Undersee’s house in District 12. Katniss was happy that everyone in the entire district will fill their empty growling tummies. She accidently saw on the mayor's office television a news report that there is an uprising in District 8. Instantly, Katniss realized that this that is what President Snow was afraid of. Afterward, Katniss met Bonnie and Twill who have escaped district 8. They are heading for district 13, the main center for nuclear weaponry that was once destroyed by the first rebellion, is now functioning and accepting refuges.
The boy tribute that is from her district is Peeta Mellark who she knew from long ago. Peeta confessed to the public that he loves her and that begins their friendship. Throughout the games, she watches as tributes are killed and a young girl named Rue is murdered. When this happens, Katniss kills Rue’s attacker. This is the first time that she has ever killed a person, so she takes it very hard. Rue was not only Katniss’s ally but her friend, she was Prim’s age and reminded her of her sister. So, when Rue was killed it struck Katniss deeply. By the end of the games she has come to love Peeta back and it comes down to the two of them. They refuse to kill each other, so they decided to eat berries that are poisonous but the capitol has to have a victor, so the capitol announces that they are both victors. When she did this, it was a direct punch to the capitol and it ignited a spark in the people, that began the process of a revolution. After she returns home, she realizes what her actions caused and that is the real reason that she went there. She was destined to be the Mockingjay, or the leader of the revolution against the capitol. She realizes that she is the only way that the people will unite and fight to
Sometimes, picking up a good novel is just what you need. Two novels, The Hunger Games and The Giver, are both popular and well- known, and are read by thousands, even millions of people around the world. Surprisingly, the main characters of these books, Katniss and Jonas, are comparable to each other. The two share some similarities. They possess some differences too. In some ways, the main characters characters of two novels, Katniss and Jonas, are alike, as well as differ from each other.
Katniss Everdeen, the protagonist in The Hunger Game series, is one of the survivors of the hunger game. Katniss comes from district 12, the poorest area in the whole countries. The character’s image is tough and strong because she wants to protect her family from any dangers. Therefore, she volunteers to replace her sister in the hunger game to protect her. She even become the symbol of resistance (the Mockingjay) of the war to the Capitol during the revolution. For people in the Panem, Katniss is the victor of the hunger game, the hope, who survives from the torture and poverty. The image of Katniss represents people who fight for survival in the real world. People sometimes need to give up something when they faced difficulty, like Katniss, she makes efforts to fight with the government.
Peeta helps Katniss later on in the games after the members of his alliance are killed. They fake their love for each other in order for both of them to survive. Rue shows Katniss how to get rid of the people camped below her. After Katniss gets stung by very dangerous bees she passes out and Rue helps heal the bee stings. Katniss leaves District 12, her home, and travels to the capital. After her training for the Hunger Games is done she is sent into the arena. Characters that try to prevent her from staying alive are the Game Makers. They will try to steer the competitors away from the edge of the arena with bizarre
The Hunger Games is really between life or death, so I’ll will be talking about teenage love. In other words, who does Katniss love, Gale or Peeta. Also I’ll be explaining their past memories. So I’ll be talking about both, Gale and Peeta’s past and feelings of Katniss, also Katniss’s feelings of them. Next, how they learn how to survive with each other.

Traditionally, there is only one sole winner of the annual Hunger Games. Through an act of defiance against the Capitol both Peeta and Katniss threatened to kill themselves. Later on in the series Peeta joins a rebellion group in an effort to redeem the nasty world the Capitol
Her family, Gale, Madge (Mayor’s daughter) and she were given a mocking-jay pin from Prim and a packet of cookies by Peeta’s father visits Katniss in the Justice Building.
While competing in the Hunger Games, Katniss is unsure if Peeta is on her side or not because he betrays her and joins the Careers; plotting to team up and kill the weak. This make Katniss extremely confused, causing her to be uncertain of whether or not she will be able to kill Peeta since he is her supposed star-crossed lover. She also debates with herself because she cannot decide if she is in love with Gale or Peeta. During the Hunger Games, Katniss becomes friends with Rue through the mocking jay pin. Rue is killed, but Katniss remembers her by using the wisdom that she learned from Rue.
The similarities that exist between Prometheus and Katniss is that they both take control and help out other people. When Prometheus notices that they don’t have fire he goes out and he looks for supplies that could help create the fire. Katniss does the same when she runs out of food or water, she goes out and will go through whatever to find some.”Prometheus had set his heart on helping mankind, and he did not give up.” Katniss had her heart set on winning the Hunger Games and nor did she give up.
Katniss Everdeen is the main character from the novel and is from District twelve, one of the poorest districts in Panem. "District Twelve. Where you can starve to death in safety (page 6)." Katniss lives with just her mother and sister after her father died in a fire and she is left to take care of her family by herself, as they are constantly on the edge of starvation. "But there is always food if you know how to find it. My father knew and he taught me some before he was blown to bits in a mine explosion (page 5).”
Succeeding Katniss’s rescued from the previous hunger games, it is revealed that she is living in district 13 (which was believed to be non-existent) with the rest of district 12, who were bombed. President coin pressures her into becoming the face of the revolution, the Mockingjay, which she accepts after she sees Peeta, who is captured by the capitol, acting as a traitor. While seeing another broadcast of Peeta, he warns Katniss that district 13 is about to be bombed, and that they will be dead by morning. After it is deemed safe to leave the underground bomb shelter, Gale and other rebels make a plan to rescue Peeta as well as Annie, who are hostages by president
At the beginning of the story Katniss was just a plane simple average girl that minded her own business until she had to volunteer for tribute. And she has likes a guy named Gale back home but she gets stuck with some guy named Peeta and he really liked her, and towards the end she started to like Peeta more and more.
In The Hunger Games, there are many significant plots show Katniss and Peeta try hard to overcome many difficulties. To begin, Katniss has a big conflict with Career Tributes who
Katniss Everdeen was the girl tribute from district 12, and they boy tribute was Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Katniss sort of knew Peeta before the games, but she wasn’t exactly sure because she could never really pen point where she meet him. Come to find out Peeta basically saved her from starvation because he gave her bread from his bakery, after he burnt it on purpose. Once Peeta and Katniss reached the Capitol and came out to show all the people of the Capitol who they were, they were the ones to watch out for. Katniss was known as the girl on fire, and then Peeta surprised everyone when he told the people of the Capitol that he was in love with Katniss; which then labeled both of them as the star crossed lovers of district 12.
In the beginning, Katniss is living the hard life of her district. She goes to school and hunts so that her family has food. She has a younger sister named Prim and a mother, however it is time for the reaping which is when the Capitol picks names out of a bucket for one boy and one girl from each of the 12 districts to participate in the Hunger Games, a fight to the death tournament where the winner gets fame and fortune. Prim gets chosen to participate in the games, but Katniss volunteers to take her place(22). A boy from their district named Peeta also gets chosen and Katniss realizes that he had given her bread when she didn’t have food for her family. They go to the Capitol and meet their mentor, Haymitch(56), who helps them train, then they go into the arena and battle. Peeta joins up with some Careers, children that trained for the Hunger Games all their lives, and tries to win but then he betrays them. The Gamemakers make a rule change and say that two tributes from the same district can win together so Katniss finds Peeta and helps him because he has been injured. After they are the only two people left the Gamemakers change the rule back to force Katniss and Peeta to fight each other, rather than fight, Katniss takes some poisonous berries, called Nightlock, she found in the arena and gives half of
