William Shakespeare was the greatest writer to ever live in the Elizabethan era. One of Shakespeare’s most famous plays was Romeo and Juliet. To summarize, it’s a story about rivalry households named Montague and Capulet. Two love birds of the opposite household fall in love. During their marriage tragedy strikes, they get separated, and in trying to reunite they both end up committing suicide. Though many versions of the original play have been changed to suit new generations, three main concepts share a correlation and distinctions between to one another.
One of the concepts that are really different is the plot. In the original much of the plot is suited for older audiences and with the twist of a depressing ending. Rivalry households fight one another for dominance over the other household. It is a very descriptive play, …show more content…

Romeo not as impulsive, but quick-witted in situations. Montague is friends with Capulet, but pretend to fight with one another. They are staying incognito to try to hide the fact that they want their children to marry. Juliet is much more curious and honest about speaking towards Romeo. There are no mother figures, Juliet’s cousin, the nurse, the Prince, Mercutio, Friar Lawrence, and etc. A similarity between the two is that; Romeo and Juliet love one another.
The last concept that is really different is the ending of both plays. The original ends with the depressing death of both main characters. Romeo believing that his wife is dead, so he goes to her tomb to commit suicide. A few moments later Juliet wakes up seeing Romeo dead and soon commits suicide by stabbing herself. When the prince came by Friar Lawrence explained everything about what really happened between Romeo and Juliet. Both parents of Romeo and Juliet weep for the death of their children.
