The three leads in this musical are Maxime Prissert portraying the hulking Shrek, Dylan Jackson portraying the estrange Donkey, and Maddy Mackarey portray the loving Fiona. The accents put on by every single one of these character were perfect they just lessened the projection and vocal clarity at times. They did an excellent job with vocal interpretation.

The type of music, clothing, and friends they have all depend on the individual's type of style and what they prefer. For this reason, forming relationships with others can be partly challenging. For common interests have to be shared in order to initiate an interaction. Then, the human interaction itself has to involve communication that is contributed by both individuals. By then, shared experiences can tie the knot in the bundle of friendship the individuals conquer. All characteristics can be seen in the movie, Shrek, through Donkey’s and Shrek’s unique friendship.Where, “With Friends Like These,” by Dorothy Rowe and “Part of Human Physiology,” had played an essential part into illustrating their friendship.

In the hero’s journey, the hero or main character goes through a series of events. The first stage of the hero’s journey is the ordinary world. In the movie Shrek, Shrek lives in a vacant swamp, living without a relationship with the outside world. He enjoys the peacefulness of living by himself, until he is no longer by himself. Lord Farquaad sends fairy tale creatures to exile on Shrek’s swamp, ruining the way Shrek lives his life at home. Shrek leaves to go to the Lord’s castle. He is then told that to get his precious swamp back, he needs to rescue Princess Fiona. This is Shrek’s call to adventure. Shrek is a willing hero. This is shown when Shrek states he would do anything to get his swamp back. He willingly left as fast as he could, so he could return back to his old way of life.

York High School’s performance of Shrek the Musical on April 30, 2014, directed and designed by Amy Insley, had several talented actors and a charmingly minimalist set and technical design, but was overall a disappointment.

All of the materials must be gathered, of similar quality, size, and color to make a costume attractive in design, appearance, and consistency.

First, Shrek and I obviously have an outstanding number of similarities. Second, both of us have really bad anger issues and can be very hostile. Such characters as these were created because the audience could relate to them and laugh. As the people changed, so too did stock characters. More were added into the list of masks, and elements such as costume changed to suit the society the play was directed at.
