Conroe High School has many rules. Many are silly and some are actually very important. The one rule I think is silly is being able to get tardies after lunch and it should be changed because some of the Conroe High students eat their lunch in a different room or even a different part of the school, and also the tardies that are possible to get after lunch you can't necessarily get rid of even if it’s because lunch took too long. Some of my fellow students at Conroe High School don’t eat lunch in the cafeteria. For instance,I eat lunch everyday in the agricultural shop all the way behind the rotunda at our school, and my fifth period is in the main building upstairs. Because of this, sometimes I have to leave lunch early and don’t get to finish it only to be able to make it back without getting a tardy. Another example would be, the kids that eat in the Music Hall of our school or even a science classroom, and we don’t know exactly when the teachers release from the cafeteria. They get a referral because they were tardy too …show more content…
Tardies can go up on your High School records and they stick with you. I have only received one tardy in my whole school career, and the one tardy that I had got was coming back from lunch. It was in the first month of school and my teacher would not cut me any slack no matter how hard I tried. Also, one of my fellow FFA officers got a referral because of tardies back from lunch, and when you are an officer and you get a referral it goes on a demerit system. If you receive five demerits you get kicked off the officer team. It is two demerits when you get a referral, so it terrified him because he thought he was off the team. The principle might say that the demerits taught him and all the other kids a lesson, and tardies teach the kids a lesson, but how does the principle or the faculty of Conroe High know if it hurts the students more than it helps
It’s easy to understand why some of the parents and faculty members of the students at Oak Creek High would not agree with an open-campus lunch. They may believe that the student body is not ready or capable for handling the privileges of an open-campus lunch program. Yes, there’s the risk of students skipping out of school for the rest of the day with no return, if they have the privilege to leave campus for lunch. Also, some students may abuse the privileges of an open-campus lunch and skip out even if they don’t have a pass ID or parental consent. When those students deciding to skip without a pass get stopped and questioned by a school resource officer, they may get a loitering ticket depending on where they go when they skip, as well as a truancy
These are the reason why schools should let the students should be able to leave campus for lunch. The school gives, then after a couple months they take all the special privileges away that they gave. Students should be able to handle an hour break to go get lunch with friends, or even go home for lunch. In high school many students have their license, and most of them don’t like the food that’s being served. There could be problems that occur with students leaving, but all problems have a solution, this essay explain why this would be great for high school students to be able to leave campus for lunch.
For many previous years, Anaheim High school has had a couple lunch system changes finally settling on two lunches, both being half an hour long. With both lunches only being half an hour long, for certain, more than one thousand students being in each, imagine the lunch lines! Making line to get your lunch takes already about fifteen minutes, half of a person’s time already, which leaves little time for a student to enjoy their so called meal and free time with friends.Based on other student’s experiences dealing with school lunch, one can rightfully assume that high schoolers would much rather hold in their hunger until after school rather than have the food being provided. There is not a single day that goes by in which a high schooler does not complain about the “worst than jail” food being served to them. This proposal will go into detail about why having an hour off-campus lunch can increase healthier eating habits between the undergraduates of Anahiem High School. In this layout, you will read about the issue of why we believe off- campus lunch would be a healthier choice for Anaheim High school students, you will also encounter our plan of how we intend to carry out this idea, what exactly needs to be done, with the help of who, and so on.
High school students in the public school system would benefit greatly if given open campus lunch options. High school administrators across the United States debate the ethics of open campus lunches. School lunch policies vary from school to school in the public school system. Having an open campus lunch gives students a variety of options for foods to eat. An open lunch policy helps high schoolers prepare for adulthood, as well as improving their general physical health.
With “rat droppings being recorded in the bins and drawers of the high school’s kitchen,” I think it’s safe to say that my high school has never had this bad of a problem in the school’s cafeteria. With that being said, we have had some negative situations with our lunchroom. The biggest problem we had was in my 10th grade year when we had our modified block schedule and some of the lunch classes fit in the time frame of our school’s bell schedule. This caused for some kids not getting to eat or being tardy for their next class.
At a local school, a student had to vomit during lunch, but wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom. A teacher forced the student to stay in his seat and the student vomited on his food. Students that go to Springdale Jr./Sr. High School should be allowed to use the bathroom during lunch because they need to wash up, to use it for emergencies, and to use it if you all of the sudden need to use it during lunch.
Being a sophomore at Cypress High School has already taught me much. My first year there I didn't know anyone but I quickly made friends with the friendly students of Cypress High. The teachers at Cypress are super friendly, they create a learning environment an enjoyable place to be. In the beginning of sophomore year AP teachers expose you experience a college environment which helps prepare us to be ready in the future.Being an athlete at Cypress High has taught me many things, some of them being sportsmanship, leadership skills, as well as teamwork. My overall review of Cypress High School is that it's an enjoyable and pleasant place to learn in.
HELP! I'm dying!... because school lunches are cringing! Students should be allowed to leave class during lunch hours, and be trusted to leave and return back in time for their next class. If high schools gave students this right it would teach them how to manage their time wisely and it would help them become responsible. Students who leave campus during lunch are most likely end up going to a local business to get their lunch which is both good for the students and the local businesses. Students with special food allergies could leave campus during lunch and go to their homes and get food they could actually eat and not be worried that their food could have been cross contaminated to something they're allergic to. Students who leave campus during lunch would come back energized and ready for their next classes.
The process to achieve open campus lunch benefits would involve security attendance, extension of lunch periods and student records. The students will have to go through a process to be able to continue the privilege of having open campus lunch throughout the year. The researcher will conduct a proposal to meet and talk with the Board of Education on behalf of student rights and lunch reform policy for the need of student involvement. The meeting is to consider if off campus lunch would be eligible to community high schools for productive upper class students. (Open campus, mountainvistaonline.org). Therefore, students could have a complete understanding of conduct regarding the educational rules and regulations that applies with an open campus policy. For instance, an explanation of proper designated times for lunch and departure from school grounds. An example would be the consequences of violation of policy from a student’s actions. Consequences would include a student receiving a disciplinary referral, suspension or expulsion depending on how severe the offense is. (U.S. Department of education “FERPA General Guidance for students” www2.ed.gov).
Elementary school eats lunch at 11:30 am! Middle and high school eat lunch around 1:00 which I think is totally unfair. 1:00 pm is also pretty late in the day. Plus, tons of food is being wasted because students do not have tons of time to eat. Students are also rushing to finish and get out the door by the time the bell rings. After lunch, we only have two more classes until the school day is over at 3:00. On Wednesdays we go home after lunch which makes lunch on W at the very end of the day. Right now I wish I could eat a snack while I am writing this
Letting all students going to get lunch off campus will teach you responsibility and let you be free. Also, going off campus shouldn't be a privilege it should be a given. Wheather or not the kid comes back to school is on them not the teachers.High school students are fully aware of what they are doing. It also gives kids a more varity of food rather than eating the same thing everyday.
Every day at 11:49 students without permission to leave school grounds are forced to eat their lunches on the floor. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it is also unsanitary.
Most students at Conroe High buy lunch from the food line, but most of them don’t even eat the food. Instead of wasting school lunches, the principle should allow students to leave school at lunch to buy themselves lunch elsewhere because the student can eat what they want and what they like. When students return to school, most likely they will be in a better mood because they ate what they craved instead of gross school lunches.
This year I am in grade 12, I have taken 9 courses in total this year. These courses consist of Biology, Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry, Life Drawing, Health and Nutrition, English, and last but definitely not lease is GLE. GLE is a class I have every Day 1 and Day 3, it switches between period 3 and period 4 on these days. This class has given me much time for me to organize; focus; and receive extra help. GLE also helped me pick and choose which University would be the best fit for me and which programs I am leaning towards.
Tardie’s equal restitution that equals money, which most kids cant afford to go to. So, if they made the lunch hour longer the less fortunate students wouldn’t have to pay for there restitution.
