Introduction: Controlling someone that doesn’t want to be controlled can lead to many conflicts. Some conflicts can also lead to broken families, broken friendships, and also losing the love of your life can also happen. In the story A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by Shakespeare, William we will see many conflicts and the different ways that are shown of controlling. There's a lot of controlling of peoples lives in this story. When someone tries to control someone’s life, that person will rebel and go against what they’re told. Body 1: To start off with the story Hermia and her father argue over the man she wants and the man her father wants her to marry.Egeus, Hermia’s father says “Its true, rude Lysander, I do love him. That’s why I'm giving him my daughter. She’s mine, and I’m giving her to Demetrius.” But Hermia does not want Demetrius she wants Lysander and she was told that she will do what her father wants, be put to death, or become a nun.
